I’ve been wanting to hike this spot for a long time, but we kept stalling and doing other hikes instead. There’s a lake below this rock (not visible here) where two Filipinos recently lost their lives while paddleboarding without life vests. Their bodies were found three days later. Tragic. May they rest in peace.

Hope this serves as a lesson to anyone chasing adventures out there. Kuya would always stop me right there—no adult vest, no kayaking, no water activities. Period. It might feel like overkill sometimes, but stuff can go sideways fast. Better safe than sorry.
