A French book, (that translates to "The Secret Notebooks" in English,) written in first person by Lara, with a smattering of edited renders with quotes throughout.

This is an A-Z of Tomb Raider, published in 1999.

I haven't included all of the pages here, just a selection, but if you want to read the entries for a particular letter, just leave a comment and I'll get them posted 🥰

A nice book for Lara fanatics, as you can see. I'm sure if a similar one was written now, it'd be more than double the size!

Although Lara is an adrenaline junkie, I have this image of her sometimes just... stopping during an excursion.

She takes a breather.

Sitting down, enjoying the silence of the crypts, gazing at the clear night sky as she meditates in the company of the dead.

She enjoys the solitude and sometimes even longs for her home in Surrey. But when she returns there, she longs for her home in the the trap-filled tombs and ancient places.

Always restless.

This is EXACTLY the kind of stuff I wanted to see!!! It sounds like they all actually care about Tomb Raider and grew up playing it; they love Lara and want to make a faithful game, and have our best interests at heart. It doesn't sound like just a job for them or a cheap cash grab and honestly I think it's going to turn out good, I have faith 😭 How they have only just thought about putting together a group of people who actually care about Lara and TR is a mystery but I am glad that they FINALLY SEEM TO!!

i agree with the art style kind of looking like smooth ai type genre, but tbf i think that about reignited too (i haven't played them yet), and the generic kiddie cutesy animals at the start instead of what they should be showing, like until spyro's feet came on i would never have guessed it was spyro that's why i was so shook, it was out of nowhere

the start part about nostalgia and modern games having different vibes and later part about trying to please old fans and new casual fans deffo applies to tomb raider too lol, honestly just watch the video it is a very similar situation

fable i need to know can i say "heyyyyyyy" and can i fart? that is what will make it good or bad lmao, this trailer was a bit crap tbh, at first i thought is this fable??? and then as the woman kept talking i was like nahhh, and then i saw the talking face door wall man (lmao) and i was like "no it is fable" but it didn't really feel like it, but i will be playing it regardless thank u for putting it on pc (i opened steam to add it to my wishlist and i went "£60??? i'm not paying £60 for fable", and the deluxe is £90 LMAO what on earth)

just finished watching future games show, this is the most i have ever heard of alix's voice, i think she will be up there with judith and jonell in AOD

no new info or footage about TR, they hyped it up to be "DEV EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!!!" and it was just a guy saying "hehe this veri kewl we respect da original game and we make a new version of TR1 with new technology hehe", like no shit, show me more videos and gameplay, show me concept art or something, show me people working on a computer

hearing alix say "waifu" made me laugh lol

i love how i am like NEW ACE ATTORNEY NEVER EVER but i still haven't finished the professor layton one or tgaa1 (ergo not even started tgaa2) 🤪 i have 3 to play but i still want a new one lol, but i didn't even like DD or SOJ so i have no hope anyways, i just want wrightworth dating (boink) simulator, i don't care about apollo, i don't care about athena, and i definitely don't care about ryunosuke, if they make a new game and it is about any of these or some shitty new character i will be so mad and despondent, i just want all of the og trilogy characters, we need gumshoe, we need franziska, we need mia + feenie office tea boy prequel

also speaking of prince of persia, the light/mirror puzzle in the legacy of atlantis trailer has to have been ~inspired~ by sands of time lmao

i might have to go replay it for the millionth time 🤪🤪🤪 truly one of the best games ever i can't express my love for it enough, if ubisoft had gotten their shit together and made a remake that looks as good as the TR trailer i would have died, every other company is doing it and they are incapable, they can only give us rayman legends remake instead of rayman 4, WE WANT RAYMAN 4, "SEE YOU IN RAYMAN 4" HE SAID, SO WHERE THE HELL IS IT?????
