Could you help me my session is a Knight of Space, Heir of Time, Sylph of Life, Theif of Mind, Rouge of Breath, Prince of Doom, Seer of Void, Mage of Light, Maid of Blood.(Who would be the best leader?, what problems would my team face
Knight of space defends with space/ defends space.
Knights typically have cool combat powers and space is a really powerful aspect so THIS PLAYER WILL KICK ASS ON THE BATTLEFIELD. Sorry. (Not sorry) Knights usually help the space player with the frog breeding, but your knight is the space player, so hope they are good at it.
An Heir provides/ is provided with aspect.
And Time is literal time, so the time player will have the ability to time travel.
So an heir provides time / provided with time. Pretty cool. The heir of time would never really “figure out” how to use their time travel properly, like, they can control it, but don’t ask them how or why what they’re doing works or why it needs to be done. It just kinda… happens.
A Sylph changes or fixes through their aspect,
While life is again literal- life force, life span, life as in the opposite of death. But it can be taken in a more figurative way as in bringing “life” to a place.
So a Sylph of Life would change or fix Life, so as a healing class, if they god tier, healing will certainly be a power, and it may even surface a bit before that. Definitely passive, they would do a great job of fixing what’s broken.
A Thief steals their aspect from others and uses it to their own gain.
Mind is thought process, logic, and decisions- Mind players usually make the right ones.
So a Thief of mind steals mind from others and uses it to help themself. Eek. Highly manipulative player, as thieves tend to be, and if their are any players whose mind is already fighting against themself… the thief will not help them. I have worries about this thief, but they would still be manageable. Not too big of a threat to the session as a whole. They would most likely pick a single person and steal their mind. Take it in what sense thou wilt.
A Rouge steals aspect and gives it to others.
Breath is either freedom, direction and motivation or the lack thereof.
A Rogue of Breath steals breath for other’s benefit. Like the thief, they would be highly manipulative, but in a very different way. The rogue would steal motivation from their enemies, discouraging them from doing what they are doing bad. But they boost the motivation and direction of their own team. They would really keep the team together.
A Prince destroys aspect/ destroys through aspect.
Doom symbolises destruction and death as well as law and judgment. Is all about law and judgement and the inevitability of things.
People think princes are always bad. But look at this- destroys doom. Prevents destruction and somehow fixes something that was supposed to be inevitable. Of course, they could also destroy with doom, casting a wave of destruction and death over the session. They probably walk a very thin line between the two. Watch out for this one.
A Seer knows/sees/understands aspect and generally just knows things.
Void is nothing. The lack of existence and matter. Void players usually lack something in their lives and are frequently lonely. They usually have a strong connection to the outer ring, but thats a whole nother topic.
This one can be interpreted a few ways. You could literally say “they know nothing and are just an idiot” but I'd advise against that. There is also the “I thought I knew everything. I thought i had it under control. But… I didn’t. I know nothing. I failed.” I like that one. Or the Seer could have an extensive knowledge of nothing, like nothing as a concept. You can very well make that work if you think hard enough. Watch out for this player in a subtle way. They could cause problems if they are tipped over the edge, but I wouldn’t necessarily WORRY about it…
A Mage is aware of their aspect’s influence, but are affected negatively by their aspect.
Light symbolizes riches, luck, and knowledge.
So the mage of light understands things, they know why something happens or how to do that thing, but when it comes down to it, they just… cant. Or at least, thats how I see it. I don’t really see it.
A Maid maintains their aspect, prepare others and maintain balance.
Blood represents the bonds, relationships and connections between people.
A maid of blood will maintain the bonds between people. Essentially, they would be the best auspistice ever. And if these are humans, they could still play that role. They set people up, and break people apart, keep relationships healthy, and will be the one everyone goes to to rant about relationship problems. You wanna know who’s dating who? Ask this Maid.
As for a leader… It’s not obvious. Lets see…
The Rouge of Breath could be a leader. I see them as more the glue that holds the team together instead of the by-name leader of the session, but with no other obvious choice, they might be it. They would be a good leader, somebody people like.
The Seer could be a leader, and be a fairly decent one, up until the very end, when they cannot see the right answer and everything falls apart. So, if you want the session to look hopeful and then fail…
The Thief might take power. They would certainly want it and could easily get it. They would be a strong leader, which might just be what this session needs. But they aren’t a kind leader. Few would really like them. They would certainly respect them, but this is the type of leader who either changes a nation for the better in the long run despite some discontent in the present, or is disliked and overthrown (or attempted to be, but the rebellion is crushed) in a bloody coup d’etat.
Without such an obvious leader, that could cause a problem. Nobody would fall perfectly into the roll, and so that could cause some problems.
The knight usually helps the Space player with the frog breeding, but since the Knight IS the Space player… its nothing terrible, just makes it a bit more difficult for them.
You have a few POTENTIALLY unstable characters, but they are all manageable. Probably. Be careful.
The session would go fine, probably. There is problems to face, but nothing unmanageable. It should succeed, barring any unforeseen difficulties.
Hope this helped. Have a great day!
