HK Food Stall and Market
In Chinese, this type of food stall is called, "Dai Pai Dong." These stalls are old-fashioned and there aren't many of them left in HK. My uncle tells me that once the owner passes away, the license for the stall goes back to the government. Sad, I like these stalls a lot! Their food is usually very simple (like soup noodles, sandwiches, rice dishes), but d e l i c i o u s . That piece of french toast nearly killed me. I think the main thing that made it great was the condensed milk!
P.S. Starting the dim sum count: so far, 2 (everyday since I came back, woo!)
Step One: Party!
Hello all! Safely landed in HK and the first thing I did was party with my sister!! It was the night of her bachelorette, it started with an “art jamming” session followed by some Saturday night clubbing. Art jamming was a very cool event, everyone got a canvas and painted something of their choice. You had all access to the studio’s art supplies, super neat! It was an awesome welcome-back-night for sure!!
Running on adrenaline and posting this in the middle of the night! My uncle is currently watching the World Cup Finals… Who are you rooting for!?

Last Day
After running some last minute errands, we went somewhere close to grandma's for dinner with the fam. I also had dim sum yesterday, which means I had it 9 times out of the 19 days being here in HK! Also forgot to upload this, had rice noodles at my favourite place in Wan Chai, at noon on a weekday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8OjAIxgNGU It was such an intense lunch, small and tight noodle restaurant, felt the sweat dripping down the side of my face and you get a stool to sit on, gotta hold all your bags, and share the table with strangers. Not much A/C -- some fans, waiters yelling out orders and seating people, wiping sweat, ate as fast as possible to get out of the craziness, but I loved it! Throughout this trip, mui and I have been searching and collecting different types of Strawberry Pocky for another Pocky party. We ended up finding 5 types and now we have Pocky sticks everywhere!
This trip has been super fun! I will miss seeing family so often, the shopping, the heat, and the readily available delicious food here. Until next time! ;D
