I've thought about that several times, and had the realization that i don't think he even knows his own father is dead actually. He mentions he hadn't spoken to his father in several years, but in tangle tower Felix says that Freyas parents both died when she was about 3, meaning that he's been dead for at least 16 years given she died at 19. Every time Wirman has brought up his father, he's seemed annoyed, but not really any other emotion one would assume from a guy whose dad has been dead. Unless he REALLY hated his dad to the point of not even caring he's dead, its just interesting. (I'll have to check the game later to make sure I'm not lying about anything, but I'm 80% sure I'm not)

I feel like he might be like 'wait I have a half sister that's neat where is she' and after being told she's dead, he'd be likely pretty bummed about that.

MAJOR MERMAIDS MASK SPOILERS BELOW

I've been haunted by the image of the Mermaid watching Gripp float up to the surface, in the style of one of the HER paintings. It's literally been appearing in my dreams these past few nights (definitely not because I've been playing the game over and over since it came out every day..) and so the best way to stop the dreams is to make it a reality (like Freya)
