Vegetarian.
So this is a brand new thing to me. Admittedly I was a vegetarian for almost two years in high school; but in no way was I in charge of my grocery buying decisions. This time is different I am completely in charge.
First I wanted to do it because it is scientifically healthier for a human to eat a plant based diet, then I wanted to do it because I watched MULTIPLE documentaries about factory farming/plant based diets, then I wanted to do it because of the risk of cross contamination, then I wanted to do it because I wanted to challenge myself, then I realized I wanted to do it because of all of these things.
This weekend was amazing.
The boyfriend and I celebrated his 30th birthday and our Anniversary (they are on the same day). I ate like shit. I had chocolate cake, Tilapia, Halibut, blueberry ice cream, buttermilk pie, SO MUCH alcohol, soda, and I am currently ending it all with homemade cream cheese (which includes 2 1/2 pounds of cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and 8 eggs). It was all SO good. I had such a fun time. When Josh and I go out and travel a lot of what we center our time around- we love food. So this vegetarian adventure is going to be interesting to say the least.
Ending this treat week and moving forward I will keep adding vegetarian things to my diet and strive to keep giving my body healthy vitamins and minerals from real whole food.
