faith.
early mornings were brought up by the early risers, such as faith. though not entirely done up for the day - she didn’t actually have to go into work until ten today - she was awake and moving around, hot cup of tea in one hand and dressed in a very comfy-looking pair of pajamas. she was unabashed in these pj’s - it covered everything, yes, but they were still sleepclothes - as she stood on her white porch, taking in the peace and stillness of the gray-blue morning. the only thing that broke up that silence was a pair of blue finches, both female, perched in a white cage hanging from the porch’s awning. they came out with her, twittering about happily at the fresh air. talking among themselves, but also talking to her, thanking her for keeping them so happy. she didn’t actually understand them, of course, she wasn’t magic, but she liked to think that.
the blonde wasn’t even aware of how much time had passed with her just meandering about on her porch and humming tunes with her finches until the first passerby made their way past her white picket fence and bluebell garden boxes. “ ah, good morning ! ” with how small a town apple peak was, it was natural for people to just sort of reach out like she did just now. “ shaping up to be a pretty one, isn’t it ? ” the clouds and chill was just beginning to wane, baby blue sky peeking through the cracks. “ it’s even got the birds in a good mood. but it’s not that hard to please these ones, ” she babbled, laughing softly.
luna had rose extra early that morning. she took a brush through her teracotta hair and tied it to the side of her face. now that spring was in the air flowers were blooming and vegetables were ripening. the best produce was always put outside the market first thing in the morning, she had to be early if she wanted to get the best crops. plus, she wanted to see what new seeds the clarke’s had in stock at the watering can, and maybe pick up some some flowers for granny.
she took her usual route towards main street, her red cloak over her shoulders to protect them from the gentle breeze. her and granny lived pretty far from the center of town, so she had a decent walk in order to get to the grocery store. she didn’t mind it though. it was so nice to be out now that the temperature was rising and the sun was out earlier.
“oh, good morning ms. godwinn!” she said, waving at the woman on her front porch. “it certainly is, don’t you just love the springtime?” luna smiled, taking a step closer to the fence. “i think they’re happy to have some clear skies to fly in, and i suspect some eggs will be hatching soon.”

Cierra reluctantly laughed at the woman’s bravado. “Wolves are not that scary. I know from experience. You just need to know how to handle them.” Before you knew it, you could use them to take out your enemies. “Please. If anything, the things here should be scared of me.”
luna thought recognized the other girl from the ball, but she wasn’t sure if she knew her name. then again, with everyone wearing masks who could say for sure. “is that so?” luna asked, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. “you must have some really interesting stories to tell.” the redhead pulled the edges of her cloak further over her shoulders. “you don’t all that scary to me.”

luna: spring flowers are popping up in my backyard im so !!!!

Adelaide giggled at Luna’s praise, wrinkling her nose and looking back at her car happily. “Well maybe, after we get our coffee and our snack, we can go for a little ride?” She suggested with a small shrug. “I’m sorry she’s not red, but red is more your thing. I like the pastel pinks and blues more.” She linked their arms together, smiling at the redhead happily. “Now, how about we get that coffee? I need a chocolate chip muffin like, within the next two minutes or I might die.”
“oh yes please! i can see us now, girls on the run- the wind in our hair, not a care in the world,” she mused, throwing her hands up in the air as she described the fanciful image. luna laughed as the other took her arm and they made their way towards the cafe. “well maybe i just need to get a matching red one and we can twin,” she suggested with a grin. “oh muffins. now that you’ve got that idea in my head i can’t believe i ever suggested skipping it.”

Cierra knew why she was in the woods, but she had no idea what they were doing here. “Dear, don’t you know it’s dangerous in the forest? You might run into something scary.”
“like what, a wolf?” she asked, looking at the girl. after a second her lips cracked into a grin. “i can assure you theres not much to be scared of in these parts, except maybe poison ivy,” she explained, standing up from the grass where she had been picking small flowers. “what are you doing here anyway, if it’s so scary.”

Cierra had always enjoyed a good ball, but now, here she was, going through the painful reminder of what she once was. Maybe that was why she had opted for such a non traditional outfit. All eyes would be on her tonight.“Be careful. Some might accuse you of staring a bit too hard.”
luna almost choked on her drink when the other woman spoke up. it was true, she had been staring. the other woman was beautiful and the green jeweled mask made her look incredibly mysterious. she supposed that was true for everyone in the museum, but something about the brunette was striking. “oh, i’m sorry,” luna spoke up. “i didn’t mean to stare. you uh- i love your dress.”
wolfgang.
“Well, the service here really is shit,” he said. The Bella Notte was hardly his favorite restaurant and it had his least favorite server. It was surprisingly hard to kill her, but he could sure as hell make her life a living hell. “Waitress? A little more water please?”
luna sighed, her fingers tapped nervously against her arm as she stood tucked away near the drink station. her heart has sunk when she saw him seated in her section. she begged one of her coworkers to take the table but they were all so busy themselves. with it being so close to valentine’s, the entire restaurant was practically booked solid for the entire week. as his voice rang out to her she clenched her jaw, grabbing a picture of water and making her way over to his table. she tried to not let her fear show as she topped off his glass.
“anything else i can get for you, sir?” she said to him, her teeth still not entirely unclenched.

Adelaide didn’t accept much from her parents these days, but this was one present she just couldn’t resist. A baby pink 1967 Playboy mustang. It was the prettiest car that Adelaide had ever seen, and she honestly felt like a Pink Lady when she drove it. She grinned to herself as she drove down the street, tapping her fingers against the steering wheel to the music that played through her AUX cord. She pulled into a parking spot, taking out her keys and stepping out of the vehicle, shaking out her blonde locks. She noticed someone looking her way, and she grinned. “Do you like my new car? She’s so pretty isn’t she?”
“oh. my. god, addy it’s beautiful,” luna squealed as the blonde stepped out of the pastel car. “i mean, i would have gone for red myself but this,” she took a step forward to run a finger over the shiny exterior. “this is so you,” she smiled. “goodness i almost don’t even want to get coffee anymore, i just want to jump straight into this and drive away,” she laughed. “and me turning down coffee and a pastry never happens.”
roam (tony)
roam – our muses get lost
“i thought you said you knew where we were going,” luna said, her hood hanging over her ears. red wasn’t the best color to wear if you’re trying to blend in with your surroundings, but at this point she was just trying to make sure she didn’t get mistakenly shot by anyone still out this late. “lost in the woods is no good place to be at this hour.” she knew most of the woods well, she always explored them as a child. she knew where the best wildflowers grew and which berries were safe to eat - but she was unfamiliar with most of the best hunting routes. “if i die out here granny will have your head.”

▿ ┋ His workshop is not a storage closet. It is not, despite his mother’s claims, thank you very much and he has everything he needs as well as no distractions. Yet still his mother has insisted he go out and ‘get some fresh air’ as if he’s not left his apartment in a week ( and he has, thank you ).
This is how he finds himself at Granny’s Diner, seated in a booth in the far corner with a pocket-watch and his toolkit spread out across the table. A half-finished milkshake sits to the side, along with a similarly half-finished piece of apple pie.
So focused on the task at hand, he doesn’t realize someone is speaking to him until a touch to his shoulder has him very nearly jumping out of his skin, mini screwdriver clattering to the table.
“Holy fuzznuts–”
luna hadn’t meant to scare the other boy. she simply had her eye in his pie. perhaps it was a little rude, and even a little more weird, to go up to someone and ask for a bite of their desert - but sweets often clouded her judgement. she had walked up to him, her own slice in hand, and cleared her throat. he hadn’t looked up when she spoke, so she lightly tapped his shoulder, wondering if he just hadn’t heard. when he jumped, she stepped back slightly, the startling noise almost causing her to drop the plate to the ground. thankfully, she hadn’t.
“oh goodness, my apologies,” she said, her hand resting against her chest. she chuckled softly at his unusual choice of words. “sorry, i didn’t mean to disturb you. i was- well i was just wondering if you would perhaps like to share your pie,” she gave him a warm smile as if it was a perfectly normal question to ask. “you see, i was up there forever trying to decide what i should get. i love pie, and it was impossible to pick between apple and strawberry rhubarb. but i noticed you over here all by yourself with half a slice left and i- well i thought maybe i could have a few bites of yours and you could have a few of mine. the best of both worlds, you know?” she laughed, her cheeks flushing a bit. maybe it was a bit weird after all. “i suppose it’s a strange thing to hear from a random person in a diner, but here i am nonetheless,” she held her fresh slice of strawberry pie up for him to see.
tony.
“Well, I suppose I could make some room in my busy schedule for a certain someone if you’d be willing to go hunt some rabbits with me this weekend. Those little bastards have had it far too good for far too long,” he said. “I am a hot commodity you know.”
“i’m there,” she said with a smile. tony had gotten her into the sport when they first met. she never really thought it would be her thing, but she found it was an amazing way to relieve stress and she loved to be out in the fresh air. the woods felt like home. “yeah yeah, you think you’re all that and a bag of apples,” she teased. “but i know you’re not going to turn away your favorite client.”
