@clocksmovefaster here is your gift!! I saw this shirt for Willie and knew I had to draw it for you, but not without Alex in a matching shirt, here you go. I hope you like it!!
Also thanks to @jatpgiftexchange for organizing this event!!
Icons with laser eyes under the cut, please credit me if you use them for anything
I hope you like it! I thought it’d be fun have them perform on Halloween kind of like Lemonade Mouth! They’re Halloween costumes are cool! Reggie is Han Solo, Julie is a Witch and Luke is.... well Luke.
luke/reggie (romantic) playlist, childhood friends to lovers! this isn't really a "put this on shuffle" playlist it's almost a fic with accompanying 80s/90s music!! can you tell i had a hard time with reggie's country songs and also that my parents listen to a lot of billy joel
song links + notes under the cut :-)
1987: 13 years old
reggie: queen of hearts
( i know you don’t like country, but i think you’d like this song! let me know what you think :-) )
luke: i love rock ‘n roll
( love the guitar solo! you’re right, i don’t love country, but you have good taste in music. this is a bit more my style :D. )
1988: 14 years old
reggie: i believe in you
( i believe in our future band! maybe we should keep this tracklist going, and we can each add to it every year with a song. this year for me is this song, though i’m not so sure i believe in my mom and dad. they’ve been arguing a lot recently, and i don’t think they can get me the bass i asked for. i can try and borrow one from the school, though! i won’t give up on our band - i know that with all my certainty ;-) )
luke: be good to yourself
( if the school doesn’t give you a bass, i’m sure my parents would get one for you. you know you’re their favorite :P. here’s a song i think you need right now. i hope things look up <3 )
1989: 15 years old
reggie: nobody falls like a fool
( i remember hearing this song when i was younger and not understanding what it’s about. it came on the radio again today. i think i get it now. )
luke: the longest time
( this one is like that for me. i totally get the line in it about writing music. i’ve written a lot of songs about you. i would say too many, but i don’t think that’s possible. )
1990: 16 years old
reggie: to know him is to love him
( guess who this made me think of! <3 )
luke: crazy little thing called love
( hm… i wonder. how about this one? i bet you won’t be able to figure out who it's about. )
1991: 17 years old
reggie: rockin’ years
( can you believe we’re going to graduate soon? and then we can go rent an apartment somewhere with all of the money we get from playing! i think it’d be fun to live with you… though i doubt it’ll be very quiet with you and your guitar. promise to learn a few country songs for me? )
luke: only the good die young
( it still feels so far away. i can’t wait to really start our band. we may be getting older, but we’re still young yet! i chose this one for our tracklist, but movin' out is another good billy joel song (am i allowed to recommend another?). and of course i’ll play some country for you, reg. of course i will. )
“I mean, girls were all sorta amazing in their own way, and let’s face it, I was kinda klutzy and slightly awkward, so I couldn’t afford to be choosy. I was an equal opportunity lover– open to any takers.”
