I wasn't really active on tumblr for a while... and since the last weeks were too damn hot to do anything on the PC without the room turning into a sauna, I just did some pencil art again instead of digital.
So.... obligatory Fury related scribble!
Months ago I dropped off the pants of my Wesker Cosplay at my bestie to fix some fitting issues with it. When I was about to head home I was "Nah, Fuck it I keep the top on" and so I was wearing the top, unintentional my Umbrella and sweatpants. I kinda thought the idea was funny and the jacket also fits well to the top and wanted to draw it since then.
So back on the Resident Evil Hyperfocus again, so I was sketching my beloved Clone Chris again. It's obligatory! And since Capcom did this "Chris is hinted to be a bad guy in the next game" twice already (2010 for Revelations and 2020 for village) I have the prediction as a joke that RE10 will be announced 2030 and they either gonna hint Chris is supposed to be a villain once again or they actually add a Clone Chris for it lol.

I am so much into my absolute favourite game series again. Maybe you know the Legacy of Kain. In the first Soul Reaver game there is such a cool title screen were the statues are moving from time to time. It's such a simple yet cool idea so I had to make it for my newest favourite game too, haha.
Currently I'm going through my Fury stuff again and also watched the movie + all the deleted scenes for what feels like the +1000th time few weeks ago again and I kinda noticed I never really posted about a "comparison" between Don in the script and Don in the final movie.
In the script it's noted that he's in his mid-20's but due to the war he looks middle-aged and the "Rose" deleted scenes also somewhat mentioned it when he said he had an 16 year old brother until the accident happened and right after that he was sentenced to join the war.
One "theory" I actually really like a lot about Don's age is, due to Brad Pitt being 50 during filming (even if he definitely looked younger for his age), that Don might actually be 40-50 years old because of that and it's also not far off from reality! The draft age after Pearl Harbor was 18 to 64 years but the actual focus became 18 to 45 year old men. With that age it's most likely that Don is also a WW1 Veteran what could also be the reason why he uses a S&W M1917 Revolver what was a common used weapon by US soldiers in WW1, but that wouldn't really fit with the "I had an 16 year brother before I had to join the war" thing so maybe this could be a reason why the "Rose" scenes didn't make the cut.
Personality wise there isn't much of a big difference if you add the deleted scenes to the final cut. In the script he just appears to be even more angry and cold-blooded if it comes to German soldiers but you get to know his (literal) backstory unlike in the final movie. If you only watched the final cut you would wonder why Don reacted so badly on Norman's arrival or why it was even shown that Don's back is burned because there's no mention of that or explanation since the scene was probably cut for length reasons.
Even if it's a KINDA important information about his character! And makes the end of the movie it even more tragic...
Don became much more like a mentor/big brother to Norman because he resembles his actual little brother who's name was also Norman and kinda looked like him too, but Don killed his girlfriend Rose and him in a car accident he caused by speeding drunk on an icy road after a bar fight before the war started.
Norman's arrival could kinda be interpreted as Don getting a second chance and to save his little brother from death.
Fury Funfact #4
The location where the movie setting takes place is near Harmeln, Lower Saxony/Niedersachsen.
On the map Lt. Parker shows the sergeants the names of the places are a bit unidentifiable but I found them anyways.
The meet-up with Baker Company is located in Tündern and the name of the town they going to take over is Kirchohsen.
What is also interesting is the fact that at the real location in Germany of the crossroad from the end of the movie there are multiple barn buildings.
Kirchohsen is a district of Emmerthal, a municipality in the Hameln-Pyrmont district.
The location is also confirmed by these sign props (with a typo) used during the Fury Exhibition at the Bovington Tank Museum.

Almost there! Nothing more fitting for the Shroud brothers than Chandelure and Litwick, right? But I think Rotom is pretty nice for Ortho as well, hehe, also I had to choose a shiny for Idia too, I can imagine him as a shiny hunter!

Here we have our two desert boys! I was struggling if I choose Arbok or Seviper next to Jamil because both are so good for him aaaah but I chose Arbok because well it's the cobra Pokémon but let's be real: Sevipers colors and the "Viper" in it's name. Also so, so perfect.

Next we have our fishy guys~ After I finished them, I noticed, that all the Mons I chose for them, having such matching colors, it's a bit funny heh~

Next we have Leona and Co. with their 4 Pokémon I chose for them. I am actually not a big fan of most of the shinys but how perfect it is for Ruggie?! He deserves it~
