Visander’s arc so far in dark heir is so funny to me. Imagine you’re the queen’s champion, reborn into the new world to carry out your duty to kill the dark king, and instead of doing that you become the babysitter of a very precocious 11 year old girl.

Nicaise’s death in the captive prince trilogy is truly one of the most harrowing deaths that I’ve experienced in media. It’s so abrupt and devastating and it really leaves such a bitterness to the ultimately happy ending that the trilogy has. Like yes the regent dies, yes Laurent and Damen love each other and get to spend their lives together. But there’s this haunting reminder in the background with his death that the damage that the the regent did can never truly be undone. Laurent will carry those scars for the rest of his life and all things considered he’s the lucky one in the situation because Nicaise never even got to live long enough for his wounds to become scars.

Sometimes I feel alone in the aftg fandom bc I am very much an andreil never gets married truther. Not in the sense that I think they’d break up but in the sense that they’d both think marriage is stupid and a waste of time. I feel like marriage is often portrayed as them getting a happy ending but I’m here to personally advocate for the idea that marriage is not the end all be all of a happy ending for a couple.
