Sometimes I feel alone in the aftg fandom bc I am very much an andreil never gets married truther. Not in the sense that I think they’d break up but in the sense that they’d both think marriage is stupid and a waste of time. Alright I’m gonna call it now even though the earliest it could be confirmed is 2029 or more likely 2031 🫩🫩 Quaritch is still alive (obviously… no body no death) and he’s gonna spend at least part of the next two movies in his redemption arc (again obviously bc they’ve been baiting this since the second movie) trying to bond with Spider and continuously be rejected by him as he insists that Jake is his real father. Jake, possibly in the 4th movie, but most likely in the 5th movie is gonna be put in a near death situation and Quaritch will sacrifice himself to save him. This will be the best path to redemption for him if they’re gonna do a death redemption (which feels inevitable) bc instead of just sacrificing himself to save Spider’s life, which would feel really cheap and kinda corny imo, he would be making the actually selfless decision to prioritize Spider’s happiness over his own by saving the man he considers to be a father.

Spider calling Jake dad and asking if he still loves him while Jake holds a knife to his throat and then telling him that it’s okay and he understands FUCK I actually almost keeled over in my seat. Spider Soccoro my son you deserve the world and you were actually the main character of this movie and I love you. Also if he gets kidnapped/grabbed one more time James Cameron is gonna have me knocking at his door that is a threat

I think the funniest and most underrated part about Max saying son of a binky bonky is that Max swears normally through out the rest of the story. He says fuck multiple times, he call Travis an asshole, and even if it doesn’t mean as much due to the circumstances if you choose the clinical dialogue he calls Laura a bitch before transforming. Swearing is clearly a part of his vocabulary and something he doesn’t seem to have any hang ups about. Which means that son of a binky bonky is not some weird attempt to suppress himself from swearing it’s just also part of his vocabulary. He’s so weird and I adore him

Nothing makes me laugh more than thinking of the counselors cursing Max and Laura for flaking on them and making them have more work meanwhile the doomed final couple were being straight up psychologically tortured for 2 months straight
