maybe not quite a writing idea but do you have any headcanons about how Lucas got Oliver out of the attic/got away with murder? (Like I think Jack helped hide the body and that’s why he resents Lucas and treats Lucas so differently from Zoe)

I always imagined that Oliver was either invited to the ranch as a olive branch by the bakers or stumbled onto it wanting to hurt lucas more. Either way somehow he got into lucas's bedroom, if we're going the play date route it makes more sense why he would be up there, werent they like 8? ish? i cant remember its 6am here and im talking out of my ass. Anyways, the playdate isnt going well obviously but lucas says oh creepy attic in my room Oliver wana go in it? and young boys bieng ever so stupid and wanting to prove theyre tough he goes yeah and goes the fuck up there. Lucas removes the ladder and boom kid stuck in the attic.
But what about the noise your cry, the noise miles! he would be screaming! well the baker house is huge, i could imagine that Jack and Marguerite were probably out doing whatever the ranch needed doing that day, thinking it best to leave the boys alone. Jack i think dislikes lucas because he thinks Lucas is a sissy and too scrawny (southern standards) so he goes off thinking lucas ought to deal with the issue himself like a "real man" and brings Maurgarite with him. ANYWAYS, back to the screaming, Oliver is a little boy and once he realises nobody will get him out i would bet that his begging and pounding of the floor turns to soft cries, then he falls asleep since kids naturally need a lot of sleep, after the exhaustion of the panic and day, it just befalls him.
When Jack and Marguerite come home, they ask where little oliver has gone, Lucas lies, says that Oliver left, Jack and Marguerite call Oliver's parents, to soon find out Oliver is missing. Panic sets in for everyone except Lucas who is seen as a freak anyways due to his multiple diagnosees. So a search party begins, 3 days searching the bayou and the baker estate, everyone focusing on the old house, barns and sprawling under ground tunnels instead of the main house gives Oliver a good few days to slowly die of dehydration. When he does die the good ole Louisiana heat quickly stinks him up. Now there's no proof that jack has seen combat but come on look at him, lets say he did see combat. He knows the smell of death. Well he would anyways because a ranch and a dissection room comes with death but rarely do cows rot before the farmer finds them.
The stink fills lucas's room, jack knows what it is but his sweet wife says its just what teenage boys smell like (ignoring that hes 8 and not fucking 13, but hes a fast grower she says) Jack starts rambling "I was a teenage boy, Marge, I aint never smelled like that goddamnit". A stain grows "its just water damage, cher, lay off the boy" says his sweet mama, but lucas has started sleeping in the living room from the stench, Zoe only 6 years old sleeps in Jack and Marguerite's bedroom cuz of "the nightmares".
According to my extensive knowledge of decomposition 🤓☝🏻 a hot and humid climate would make Oli's stinky body fully bone in a few weeks.
But heres where my imagination stops because From here on out i have absolutely no clue what I headcannon to happen. I do not think that Jack found out though as i truly think if Jack or Marguerite found out they wouldnt have kept him in the house let alone in the same room as their precious little girl Zoe.
Personally I do just think Jack hates Lucas because of that southern bias to "Traditional roles" I come from the south of poland, which strangely isnt too different to southern america in mindset anyways. And Lucas bieng scrawny with a nerdy interest in science instead of hardcorse sports made jack dislike him some (yes he did baseball but i imagine that was just because of jacks influence) Not to mention that his only sibling and positive force at home was a girl, he probably was a curious little kid, playing dolls with her or letting her "do his hair" before all the favourite kid vs glass child resentment (as in lucas sees her as the favourite and zoe sees herself as the glass child meaning lucas gets more attention)
But yeah, your idea of jack helping get rid does make sense i mean how would a little kid manage to get all those bones down and cover up the stain. However it wouldnt fit into my personal headcanon of the family dynamic, that bieng said I do not have a solution to that problem other than lucas bieng a fucking psychopath with absolutely no emotions even as an 8 year old (which i dont belive)

It should be noted that there was no pronoun to refer to who was doing yoga, as Japanese as a language sometimes omits subjects when it can be interpreted from context. The context here is vague, though, so we can go off of what ISN’T said rather than what is
The context about why Zoe thinks Lucas is a pervert is gone from the original lines. In the English version, it’s because Lucas was looking at her, but there was nothing stated about that in the original. My guess is that it was Lucas who was doing yoga, and she called Lucas a pervert because of that. Because, yk, it was 2014 and the South and doing yoga as a male could be seen as effeminate, and, thus, perverted
My best guess is that the localization team wanted to further depict Lucas as different/a much worse person than the other Bakers and that’s why they did that(???)
