After my exam I decided it was time to take a break. Starting into the new semester without a structured course load was different and after 3 years of hard core studying well deserved.
But as I have my last exam for my degree a week from now, I am starting these posts again. I am hoping to gain some motivation!

I received the message today, that I qualified for the oral exam. I am glad that the past days of intense studying actually were not for nothing. So my goal for today is finishing all lecture videos and then get started on the topics I think will appear as a focus in the exam. This morning I sat in the dining room in the sun, enjoying some quiet hours before the rest of the world woke up, starting into their Sunday.

Today is a day full of watching lecture videos to recap the content of the class. 8 hours are done, but that means around 25 hours more over the next two days. I am glad I have the ability to watch everything in 1.5x speed. I also took time to make myself my favourite breakfast - cream cheese bagel and a latte macchiato.

I received the message yesterday that my oral exam is scheduled for next week, which means I have only 4 days to prepare my presentation and learn the theoretical parts including all mathematical concept. So my workload will be very high again for the next days. But at least yesterday I got to do some gardening and this morning I journaled in the sun. The rest of the day is reserved for Reservoir Computing though.

Today has been the first day in a long while where I didn’t get up early-ish to go and do something for university. And it is a welcome blessing to have a day off after working hard the last months. Even tough today was supposed to be my not-doing-anything-at-all day, I am reading not only fiction, but also something related to my studies. Oliver Sacks, along with a few other authors, has reignited my love for reading non-fiction books on scientific topics. “The island of the colorblind” has been a great read so far! I also drank a fantastic chai latte.

Today I had my deadline for an important project. I have finished everything in time and hope it will be accepted. I also visited the campus today, after some time, to look over my previous exams. It is definitely a relief to finish long and strenuous projects, but I am also really looking forward to going even more into depth when preparing to present my seminar presentation.

I have been working and studying hard these last months and decided to invest a bit of time to start blogging how far I have come.
I have a deadline coming up in a few days for a course I am taking at a Masters level. Taking courses advanced for my level of education has been challenging, but I have enjoyed the content of the module greatly.
