I’ve been getting back into drawing stuff for Rhythm Doctor again because of the Act 5 hype, so here’s a silly comic based on Mic Check by ReneeDekobora2042!! It was one of the first RD fics I read when I first got into the fandom, and probably one of the best (definitely up there with Clipboard Notes, victor if you’re seeing this hi LOL) so I thought it would be nice to make a short comic of one of my favorite parts. More ramblings & bonus doodles under the cut :]

I started working on this about a month an a half ago, and initially I just wanted to work on this as a small silly wacky fanart project that was supposed to look more like this

So like every sane artist I decided to make it harder for myself

Also some unused sketches based on the Rollerdisco Rumble Reprise custom level by Kabii!

These were my favorite panels during the sketching phase but I had to change the last couple panels to reference 2-3N instead because it made more sense timeline wise. Might render these someday tho because I'm still attached to them lmao

A sitcom about all the white whistles sharing a student flat together.

- Lyza is permanently pissed and breaks at least one household appliance per episode

- Ozen wanders around the house in a snuggee scaring the houseguests and hating everything

- Bondrewd flamboyantly barges into random scenes with a ridiculous fashion sense and constantly carrying a satchel of incredibly illegal shit

- He’s also the one who brings in the houseguests, who we meet once and then never see again.

- Ozen hates Bondrewd’s guts. Bondrewd loves everybody to a genuinely creepy degree.

- And Srajo and Wakuna are the guys in the joint basement room who everyone constantly talks about but who we never see

MADE IN ABYSS review!

So, originally I’ve written a very long, detailed review for this anime/manga but my computer just suddenly designed to crash out and It’s all gone. I’m to lazy to write it again so here is a short version

PRO - world building, this whole world is gorgeous - art work for both anime and manga - everyone look memorable, great character design - especially all the white whistle, they look so COOL - likable protagonist - Bondrewd ! just…. everything about this character - but seriously this manga might have the best arc and best antagonist I’ve seen in a long time, bondrewd’s arc is awesome - very emotional story, this manga leaves an impact

CON - slow (almost boring) beginning, but trust me, wait till mitty’s arc kick in and It’s all worthwhile - sometime this manga will turns into a cooking show - all the little girl fan service which I’m not a big fan of - the anime may never reaches bondrewd’s arc, so that’s a con

TIPs & WARNING - It’s gonna get DARK - like, seriously - Berserk level of dark - just……with children - you think ep 10 was dark? read bondrewd’s arc - so, yeah. just be prepared. Your gut will hurts - a lot - chapter 38 is the most beautiful thing ever happened and everyone need to read it - also little girl fan service, it might feel uncomfortable at times

IN THE NUTSHELL : if you can handle dark stuff, like the sense of mystery and adventure or want some morally complex character
