I love color, and nothing delights me more than finding new hues, and new names for hues.

Today's color is Australien, an orange-yellow hue that takes its name from the natural rock and earth colors of the southern continent.

FAMOUS COLORS -- Fuchsia

keeping with my exploration of colors inspired by or named after people, consider Fuchsia.

Fuschia is named after prominent botanist Leonhard Fuchs, who discovered the flower now known as fuchsia.

Fuchsia is a bright intense pink color, often confused with magenta, which is slightly more purple.

It was the color of two of the most iconic dresses of the 20th century, that being Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" costume, & the suit Jacqueline Kennedy wore on the trip to Dallas.

More recently, it was worn by Taylor Swift & Timothée Chalamet on the red carpet, as well as rock star Machine Gun Kelly, who considers pink his favorite color.

Are there other iconic fuchsia dresses Im forgetting?

My favorite looks from last night's Golden Globe ceremony included:

Regina King in a Louis Vuitton look with 20, 000 sequins:

Andra Day, who won for Best Actress in a Drama:

Best Dressed among the men for me was Josh Connor, who won for Best Actor in a Limited Series for The Crown:

Biggest misfire look was Margot Robbie, in Chanel.
