- the root of their stupidity is their desperate attempt to impress one another. Mac always wants to be seen as the cool leader, the alpha, so he constantly does stuff he doesn’t wanna do so that Charlie idolizes him. Charlie, not wanting to be uncool, goes along with it, even tho he doesn’t really wanna do it either

- Mac’s a hugger, but charlie gets pretty uncomfortable with touching. But charlie, similar to his mom, likes to do things three times, so charlie squeezes Mac’s hand three times to say he loves him. Mac totally didn’t cry when he figured this out.

- Mac teaches Charlie to read and write! in the Poppop the final solution episode when charlie almost read the dentist sign Mac says “Pretty close,” so I think he’s teachin him for real agshagshaghdajjdka

- Mac’s desire to be a sheriff and bodyguard comes from Charlie beating up the bullies that used to rag on Mac (charlie is known to be untamed when he gets angry/the ones he loves get threatened). He wants to protect himself and others for once
