As promised! A #vegan omelette! It's easy and delicious, thanks to @followyourheart VeganEgg. The recipe, plus a little giveaway for a box of the #veganegg (pretty valuable since it's sold out already on Amazon). My review, the #giveaway, and the recipe, are all on the blog today (link in my profile).

So I was in such a hurry to eat this baby that I didn't stop to take pictures, so we must make do with the leftovers (yay #leftovers!!!). Also yay for pizza night, especially this delicious #vegan garlic pizza.
Oh my, this turned out good. Middle Eastern Balela salad, California style (which to me means with avocado). The recipe is on the blog today. Did I say it came out so good?
This Zucchini Apple bread is so awesome. It's #vegan, #glutenfree, plus lower in sugar and has an extra boost of protein thanks to @sunwarriortribe Classic Plus Organic protein powder. Oh yeah, it's delicious too!
Three weeks ago, when his companion of 17 years died, I was afraid that Boris would follow soon after, if only from loneliness. Timing is everything because we had just brought two feral kittens indoors because of the heat. I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see these two snuggled up like this.
Purple and green had been my favorite color combo since I was a teenager yes, green and purple eyeshadow!), so I love my 2014 #IDEAWorld tank with my new @brickbetty Escape Skirt. I especially love the green python print shorts (which even have a key/gel pocket). I'm a #brickbetty fitness pro, so if you want to know more about these beautiful made-in-America clothes, just ask. As for the run, Johnny, my running partner this morning, is looking much better behaved than he actually is.

As promised! Today #ontheblog the recipe for these #vegan and #glutenfree chocolate chip cookies! The secret, of course, is the amazing egg replacer #aquafaba. In case you haven't heard, @aquafaba is the brine from beans! You know that liquid you usually drain off and throw away when you open a can? Turns out it can replace eggs in almost any recipe, including meringues, macarons, even whipped "cream!" Seriously, this is a vegan game-changer.
This happened this morning! If you know me you know I'm NOT a baker, but after learning about aquafaba (basically bean juice) and it's amazing ability to replace eggs in all kinds of recipes, I had to give these cookies a go. They are #vegan, #glutenfree, #soyfree , #dairyfree, #nutfree and delicious! I'll be sharing the recipe on the blog on Monday, but I basically took a regular cookie recipe (because so #notabaker) and changed it up. Pretty proud of my effort and @alantwoodruff is in heaven!

This was a spur of the moment 10k, my first in about 13 years. Back then I was 44 and finished in 44:04 (and was 4th person overall). Today my goal was to finish in under an hour, which I did by 45 seconds. That was enough for 2nd in my age group (and 8th woman overall!). Love the 2nd place "medal," a folding chair. Much more useful than another medal. Thanks to all the folks at @elitesportsca for putting on a fun race. That includes @alantwoodruff the announcer, who always brings me across the finish line with style. Great race, fantastic weather! (at Promenade Park)

Look what I found, at Ralph's of all places. I didn't even know about @daiyafoods Cheezy Mac! First Key Lime Cheezecake, now mac and cheese! I'm in #vegan heaven! Check the bottom box..That's Alfredo style. It's #whatsfordinner tonight.
Tons of people out running today! I thought perhaps it was because it's #NationalRunningDay but when I had a chance to ask a couple guys at a water fountain they told me there was an @adidas event at the @laauintaresort. I felt a little embarrassed because in spite of an eclectic taste in running #fashion I was wearing not a single item of #adidas clothing. Oh well, they didn't even know about the "holiday." As for my celebration, I ran 6 miles. I felt so good when I started that I decided to pick up the pace and do a little tempo run. It was lovely.
