Leo towelled his face off. He’d showered after getting back from patrol. It was late, later than the usual time they got back from patrol on the average night. His brothers were exhausted, yawning and disappearing off to bed one after the other. Splinter was already asleep when they returned. Even Donnie was too tired to stay up in his lab, which was saying something. Leo was the only one awake. He barely had the energy to wash up, but he refused to get into bed filthy and forced himself under the warm water of the shower and then back out into the comparatively cold air after he’d scrubbed the dirt from his skin.
Leo groaned and leaned over his chest of drawers. He was exhausted. Man I need to catch some z’s, he thought as he opened the top drawer to find some underwear. He left it open as he pulled out a soft, dark grey pair and pulled them on, sliding the waistband up until it rested on his hips. He had gone to shut the tray when the repositioning of your clothes caught his eye.
You had been down to the lair recently, and the clothes you’d left in the wash had been folded up and shoved neatly in your side of the top drawer after they dried. Leo caught a flash of pastel pink. It had never quite registered to him that ‘spare clothes’ also entailed undergarments, or maybe he’d purposefully chosen to ignore that particular fact. Pretty pink undies were folded up and placed at the front of the divider box your undergarments were in. Leo hadn’t seen them before. Your other pairs were generally the same; you kept your favourites at home with you and the ones you didn’t mind not having around down in the lair. That being said, all of your panties were cute. Some had lace trims, some were plain grey and black, and others were a variety of colours that Leo never really paid mind to. Your underwear section was shoved right to the back, after all. But the pastel pink stood out. They must’ve been a pair you liked, because you hadn’t left them down in the lair before. That’s gross, Leonardo. Leo sighed and pinched between his eyes when he realised how creepy his deductions were. He shut the drawer and went over to lie his ass down in bed. It had been a long night. He didn’t need to be mulling over stuff like that. It must’ve just been the tiredness talking- he was thinking too hard...
Leo rolled over to turn his lamp off and tugged his blanket up as he settled in; he finally shut his eyelids. Pink flashed behind his lids. They snapped open again. His eyes slowly adjusted to the dark. Silence. His blue blanket looked a washed out dark grey in the minimal light filtering through his cornea. Leo huffed in an attempt to rid himself of whatever his sleep deprived brain was on, fluffed his single, slightly flat pillow and tried shutting his eyes as he lay on his side. Thankfully it worked, and he slipped into sleep, the creases on his forehead finally smoothed out as sleep got a hold of him.
▹▹▹
You were conked out on April’s shoulder on the couch at the weekly movie night. Leo was watching you from his end of the couch, idly sipping his drink as the movie neared its end in the background. Donnie was pestering Splinter who sat next to April about showing him a new invention for his room that the old rat was not at all interested in. Raph was sitting next to you with his arms crossed and legs spread. Casey was on Raph’s right, in between the red slider and a restless Mikey. Leo sighed intermittently at the kernels of popcorn Mikey kept accidentally dropping on his lap. You were fast asleep. Leo wondered if you’d been overworking yourself. You hugged April’s arm and smushed your cheek to her shoulder in a way that made you look small and sweet. Leo trailed his gaze over the slope of your shoulder, the soft pout of your lip, the elegant bridge of your nose. Your lashes resting on your cheeks. Your eyes had shadows under them, made deeper and worryingly bruise-like in the glare from the screen. Leo caught April’s questioning gaze when his eyes flickered up off your face and he simply gave her a nod, which she seemed to take to mean you needed your blanket pulled up. You snuggled further into her shoulder when she did. Leo brushed some popcorn off his lap and went back to watching the screen. I need to clean the fuck out of the floor after this, he thought, hearing the unmistakable crunch of popcorn underfoot and a quiet ‘oops’ somewhere to his left from his youngest brother.
The next day was cleaning day. All patrols and other activities had been put on hold after Raph had chucked a handful of popcorn at Mikey and received an entire bowl to the face. Leo had been less than amused and Splinter had thwacked his unruly sons over the head with his tail and retreated to his room, plucking kernels off his clothes. Leo focused. Vacuuming. Polishing the weapons on the wall above his bed.
Leo stripped the flat fitted sheet off his mattress, throwing it and his beat up pillowcase over to the laundry basket and humming absentmindedly to an oldies song Splinter had put on the lair speakers as he changed his sheets. He took the basket to the rickety washing machine and put them in. Leo took his fresh clothes out the dryer and took them back to his room so he could fold and put them away. Shirt. Pants. Another pair of pants. Underwear. Pants. Arm straps. Some socks he’d sewn. Shirt. Underwear. Pants again. He put the final pair of joggers in his top drawer and went to shut it. Pink. Leo’s eyes caught the fabric of your underwear yet again. His hand faltered halfway through the action of shutting the drawer.
I’ll… just tuck it in the compartment better. Yeah.
Leo carefully reached towards the fold of pastel pink; his movements were painstakingly slow as he stretched his hand towards them and his fingers brushed the soft cotton. He couldn’t just push them down, no, they’d get all wrinkled and he knew you hated when your clothes visibly creased too much. Leo sighed and in one fell swoop pulled the undies out of their separate compartment and watched them unfold in his hands. The leader in blue stared. They were patterned with thin white horizontal stripes that marked the pink in one centimetre intervals. The waistband too was trimmed with white. They were tiny in his hands. Leo’s thumb instinctively smoothed over the fold lines. Now put them back, Leo. He went to fold them, and his finger accidentally hooked the gusset as he fumbled with the panties in his hands. Hands with all the dexterity in the world, hands that could wield a multitude of weapons, hands that were so, so capable were reduced to a blundering mess as he tried to fold your pretty panties. He replaced them in their compartment and shut the drawer with a decisive thud. For some reason he felt slightly out of breath. You’d been here yesterday, he’d seen you not even 15 hours ago. What if you’d stayed the night? What if you’d insisted on helping out today- a very real possibility considering you liked cleaning- and caught him like this? His excuse to touch your panties had been so poor. Never again, he grimaced. With one last look back at the closed tray, Leo exited his room to get back to his chores.
A/N Very minuscule snippet but oh my goodness the real thing is quite something. Lots to do for the next few days but some hcs will defo drop!

Tags: Bay!tmnt x reader, fake dating, touch starvation, the foot clan are creeps, not proofread
The main reason ‘fake dating’ would come up in the first place is to fool the foot clan. Now that they’re aware of the boys’ existence, they’re keeping track of anyone and everyone that could possibly be involved with the four brothers. Get them to think there’s someone special to one of the turtles, and once they try taking you away, the boys have an opportunity to locate the foot clan’s new base of operations.
ᥫ᭡—————————————————————Leo
Thinks this plan is the most juvenile, cliche thing he’s ever thought up. That won’t stop him from stepping up and offering to be the one to ‘date’ you, though. His plan, his responsibility. Besides, this one involves the possibility of you getting targeted and probably hurt, too. He needs to have control over the situation from the inside, and he can’t do that if one of his brothers is gonna be the one to ‘date’ you.
Is so incredibly awkward with what fake dating actually entails. Forget the touchy bits, he can’t get over having to make it obvious he’s heading to your place. He’s a ninja, he moves in the shadows, he’d never slip up and let himself be tailed. His pride gets in the way of a lot of things, and carrying out the very mission he came up with is one of those. You’re more likely to get fed up than all shy and nervous if you fake date Leo.
Once that particular hurdle is cleared though. Watch. Your. Feelings. By god can Leo do something if he puts his mind to it. His charm is turned up to the maximum, even when he’s being a little nervous about it. This fake dating schtick needs buildup to work. Leo is a master of buildup. He ends up getting so good at it he almost fools you. Key word: almost. With how much he texts you to debrief after every late night in your apartment or on a roof you couldn’t possibly misconstrue his actions as being anything other than performed. He practically sends you a three page document every time- going over the likelihood he was tailed, the plan for next time to lure the foot out, and how you could improve your act (you get incredibly ticked off over time with that last one. Who does he think he is?)
Leo would probably awaken a ton of urges through your little fake dating act. He’s no doubt stupidly touch starved, as are all of them, really, but he subconsciously gets addicted to the contact. It has to be very obvious, unmistakeable contact so the soldiers creeping on the two of you and using their binoculars to peer through your tiny apartment window will get the message. Leo starts to touch you casually without realising, even while you’re down at the lair. Hand on your shoulder, on your waist to move you out of the way, on your face to brush off a stray eyelash without asking. At your apartment he’s getting a kickkk out of having you in his lap, backing you into walls, feeling you touch him and hold his hand. Leo’s getting spoiled.
Is a massive fan of looming over you. Even if you’re tall, he’s finding a way to loom. Seeing you embarrassed and unable to brush off the fake dating stuff the way you’ve brushed off so many other things on so many other missions gives him some weird satisfaction. He’s a bit of a weirdo like that, but it pushes the two of you a step closer to dating for reals.
Cheek kisses. For literally the longest time. From an angle it looks like he’s actually kissing you so the two of you were banking on that being enough. Alas, it isn’t. The first kiss the two of you have is right in front of the window, but it doesn't feel fake at all.
ᥫ᭡—————————————————————Mikey
He was nominated for this one! Mikey is the best at putting people at ease and lightening the mood, and his brothers decide by majority that he’s going to be the one to ‘date’ you. Leo is probably most likely to step down if he believes Mikey can do a better job and make you more comfortable than he can. Mikey is ecstatic, he’s already planning extravagant ways to fool the foot and thinking up matching fits to really sell the image.
Mikey gets shy when he does actually have to follow through, though. He’s completely fine with everything until he gets too caught up and turns around and finds his face inches from yours; that silly goofy grin falters and you can see his eyes get all wide. Expect him to back away and hastily call ‘time out, time out, time out’ when he gets too flustered. It serves to make you nervous too, so now both of you are an awkward, bumbling mess. Mikey never quite gets over that particular habit.
He ends up being a little too obvious if that’s possible. “Come here,” and he’s dragging you over to the window or a more visible place to repeat that cute little action you just did so the people tailing you can spot it. This turns into him doing it for everything. You hold his hand; he’s pulling you to the window and letting go of you just so you have to do it again in the soldiers’ line of sight. Maybe it’s a subconscious thing; Mikey wants you to repeat it, and this is just a perfect excuse. His reasoning is that he’s totally acing the mission. Though, from an outside perspective he might as well lean out of the window waving your intertwined hands yelling “we’re dating!” Not the most subtle but the tangerine turtle has good intentions.
Three words to sum up how it all goes careening off the rails: touch starved Mikey. Again, like Leo, he’s getting too comfortable with the increased touchiness. Is it really fake dating when he kisses your forehead as a ‘hello’ even when there’s no one there to fool? The same goes for petnames; they slip into everyday conversation, though with a lot more intent than the actions. Playing a game with his brothers means Mikey is throwing an arm around you and waggling his (nonexistent) eyebrows as he says “we can be a team, right babe?” and shoves a controller into your hands. Will absolutely use the fake dating thing as a way to pair the two of you up for everything.
Mikey starts hankering after your touch. He’s always joking around, but when things get a little too serious as you both put on an act for the foot soldiers Mikey stops kidding. His earnest, honest feelings shine through and he acts like he really likes you, enough to make you wonder if this whole fake dating thing isn’t entirely fake after all.
Mikey is too shy to properly kiss you to make it convincing, the most he can bring himself to do is kiss nearrrr your mouth and pray it looks real enough. You have your arms around his neck and he has his hands on your waist, like clockwork he leans in to slowly plant a kiss next to your mouth and you can feel his heart hammering hard through his plastron. It never drops in pace, no matter how many times he does it. You think he’d pass out if he properly kissed you.
ᥫ᭡—————————————————————Raph
Surprisingly the most casual of the brothers. He’s all for teasing and being playful, so fake dating is easy peasy. Raph is the least likely to be trusted with the task of ‘dating’ you, purely because he’s very emotionally volatile and there’s always a risk of things not working out right. However, he ends up doing a pretty good job, even by Leo’s standards. Make no mistake, Raph is super gruff and awkward about it, but the two of you ease into it and it gets reallll simple with time.
Raph does this arm-swing+pivot-in-a-circle combo when he’s embarrassed and awkward, like he’s attempting to be all casual about it but he just isn’t. If you grab his hand and show that you’re making an effort to really get this mission to succeed, he’s going to be incredibly reassured and will do the same for you. He gets super serious when he’s discussing the plan with you down in the lair. You will end up getting embarrassed. That’s when his evil, teasing side kicks in. Don’t worry, Raph makes up for it by being the most casual about the rest of the arrangement. You’ll feel comfortable in a way you wouldn’t with his other brothers.
He’s got no problem pulling you onto his lap where the two of you are easily viewable on a rooftop or through your apartment window; this is all for the mission, even though he is a little shy. Most of his confidence comes from knowing that if the foot soldiers tracking the two of you try anything, he’ll be able to protect you. 10/10 bodyguard over fake boyfriend. Raph pulls his phone out and gives it to you so you can do whatever you want on it to pass the time, because it’s not like he uses it for much and you can’t reach your phone with him holding you. He’s got the ‘cut up fruit on a plate instead of apologising’ kind of affection but he’s got this stuff down.
The king of touch starvation followed closely by Donnie. This man trails behind you like a lost puppy after you’ve established the fake dating thing. Leans his face into your hand and kisses the swell of your palm under your thumb oh so tenderly. He’s so egregiously weak for your touch, even if it’s all fake. Let him have this, just this once. Pretend you don’t notice him relishing getting to grab you and squish you to his chest until you’re both laughing. It's for the mission ofc.
Raph would’ve straight up kissed you had you not shied away the first time his face got super close to yours. He resorts to pecking the tip of your nose. Anytime you guys need to fake a kiss, he kisses your nose and affectionately noogies you as though trying to cancel out the intimacy of the former action. Every time without fail.
In private Raph muses over the kisses a billion times over and mentally analyses the look on your face, whether or not you shrank away in embarrassment or fear and if he could get away with doing that more often with you. His feelings go allll over the place. Raph is 50/50: worried you don’t want to be doing this with him and not particularly paying much attention to it because it’s just for a mission. He views it the same as training or patrols, just another task to do. And then he proceeds to over analyse it again. Real muddle of emotions he is. Expect him to get too caught up in the act while he’s at your apartment and end up actually kissing you.
ᥫ᭡———————————————————Donnie
Donnie thinks this whole thing is very slightly stupid. But he too is sometimes stupid and that leads him to go along with it. Either he pulled the short straw or there was heavy peer pressuring from his siblings to ‘date’ you for this one; I don’t see him involving himself in a plan like this beyond being support. However, you’re a good friend so this can’t hurt! He’s interested in the trial and error aspect of fake dating too. This whole thing is basically just a social sciences experiment. Leo backs off because he trusts Donnie to calculate things like how long you’d need to ‘date’ to ensure the foot clan would be confident in the legitimacy of your ‘relationship’.
Makes it super obvious, but in trying not to make it obvious. “No, just sit there and look pretty and they’ll buy it, I promise. Turn a bit. More to the left. Perfect! Are the candles too much?” You end up getting fed up like two minutes in because him being nervous is making you nervous. You grab his face and snap him out of it. “Donnie! You’re stressing me out!”
He’s a ball of nerves but keeps things resolutely professional. He schedules out an abundance of fake dates and sends you a list of potential activities that aren’t too demanding but will work in your favour. Honestly once the two of you get into the swing of things it gets pretty fun; you devise games and place bets on who can play the most convincing partner. Be prepared to be hounded with all sorts of tracking devices in preparation. He tries to reassure you the emergency buttons are just in case, but follows that up with “well to be accurate you are bait, so…”
He chills out with time, however, his touch starvation kicks in and shoots his nervousness back up. Is he kissing the top of your head too much? Should he stop holding your hand, or should he hold your hand more? Is it wrong for him to knock his nose to yours and tell you to kiss him on the cheek for the foot soldiers no doubt watching you from the rooftop across the street? Please keep fidgeting with his fingers and sitting in his lap. Your pupils dilated 35% when you looked at him. Have you always been so soft?
He’s also the most likely to do accidental boyfriend stuff when the two of you aren’t faking. He carries your bags, pulls you casually into his chest out of the way of Raph and Mikey when they’re bantering, takes care of you when you feel sick and rubs your back. Like Leo, watch your feelings!! Donnie doesn’t let extremely touchy habits stray into interactions outside the ones where you have the enemy as an audience, but he does get a bit more comfortable with joking around with you. If anything fake dating him will make you two closer friends.
His way of faking kisses when the two of you are on a ‘date’ is to kiss your forehead, or between your eyes. He turns his back to the general direction he knows you’re being watched from and smooches your forehead and pinches your cheek gently afterwards to get you to smile at him, which relieves his own anxiety. You actually commenting on anything related to touching (asking if you can hug him, mentioning how warm he is) will take him out if the fake touching itself hasn’t already. He’ll sooo let it slip that he wants to kiss you for real.
𑣲A/N really short this time but I need to clear out my drafts good lord. Long Leo fic in the works!

Leonardo was pacing his bedroom, hands planted firmly on his head in distress.
You were his friend. This was supposed to be a mission. There weren't supposed to be feelings…
Leonardo let out a frustrated growl, throwing his hands away from his head, letting them swing down to his sides.
He could hear Donnie's voice echoing in his mind, "Just be mindful that feelings can and will develop with repeated intimate contact. The contact will eventually become second nature to both of you and this could potentially move into being very real for one or both of you."
How wrong he'd been when he'd denied all of Donnie's research on the matters of the heart. There was no way Leo would ever allow business to mix with pleasure. Specifically when it was a mission that could cost your life if he fucked up.
He was so sure. He'd denied vehemently that anything would ever come of it. He was positive.
Put up walls. Was intentional in where he placed his hands. His lips. His body. Your body.
Your body against his.
"Fuck."
Leo had stopped pacing as his mind wandered back to the kiss you'd shared at the window. The look on your face as he tried to pull back. The way your lips chased his.
The moment you let a small whimpering moan escape when he'd caved and went back for more.
"aaaaAAAAHHHGG!"
How was he supposed to continue this little charade now? How could he tell his brothers? How could he tell you? How could he even face you?
First time reblogging something (I don't know how Tumblr works) because this is what I was going for. Beautifulllll. When I was writing I initially felt like Mikey was the perfect turtle for this trope, but now I wanna do a whole separate fic on Leo when I'm already writing a full Leo fic😭
Maybe part two is in order. For now though. Logical (asshole) leader Leo.
Leo felt like a caged animal. What the fuck was up with him? He finally sat down on the edge of his bed, hunched over with his head in his hands like a mourning monk; he slid them down over his nose and felt the brush of his rough palms over his lips. Lips that had been on yours.
Lips that you'd kissed.
"Okay. Okay." He breathed out a long, harsh sigh through his nose, nostrils flaring and jaw ticking. "Okay." There was gravel in his voice.
He hadn't even texted you when he'd got back to the lair. Not pulled out that useless device and tapped his thumbs across the screen until he'd gone over every single detail of your 'date' in enough depth and with enough objectivity that he'd be able to quell the nagging in his head. That's what he'd been doing every time. It had shielded him from his feelings for this long, anyway. He was just making sure you did your best on this mission; it was his responsibility to make sure this worked and texting you afterwards made this feel like one of the shoddy experiments Donnie roped him into when they were kids.
He shouldn't have any feelings.
"Please."
"FUCK!" he growled with frustration at the memory of your soft whimper. The leader in blue shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose and was transported back into your apartment's little living room, your hands brushing over the scales of his shoulders and your pleas mumbled into his lips.
"No, no, no, I'm not doing this."
His brothers didn't know yet. He hadn't royally fucked this up yet. His world had shrunk down to where his solid gaze only took in the floor between his firmly planted feet. He went steely.
What his brothers didn't know wouldn't hurt them.
He went for his phone.
It was fake, he reminded himself as he typed. You knew this was fake. And as far as you knew, he thought this was fake.

Grey. The room was washed with a fuzzy blue-black overlay. Your blinds were pulled all the way down, leaving whatever light the smoggy navy night gave off to seep through the edges. You lay on the bed unmoving; your eyes stared dully into the distance, completely unfocused. Salt. Your face was streaked with the dried salty residue of tears. Your lips were dry. The hollows of your eyes felt taut. You didn’t blink. It felt like this happened when you least expected it, or maybe you had expected it, at the very least subconsciously. The day had been fine. More than fine, you’d been happy, hadn’t you? Gone outside, walked, eaten. Why did this now consume you? A dark, hollow pit had formed in your gut and you didn’t know what to do anymore. Everything was too much. Sleeping, eating, talking, breathing, living. It was all too much, you were too much, and too little. You couldn’t recall when you’d collapsed into your bed and started staring into the distance, only that you had and hadn’t yet felt the sweet relief of sleep. Then again, sleep was full of memories, a gross amount of twisted, crushed fragments that bound themselves together to create something entirely new. It was too much. You wanted to erase it all; erase your memories, your life. Or maybe you selfishly wished to exist for eternity without past, present or future in this empty void you were paralysed in. It had started to feel good after a while.
The doorbell. You sucked in a soft breath, and, as though reanimated, your limbs twitched themselves back to life. Your body protested when you pushed yourself up. You weren’t expecting anyone. Cold dread settled itself in the pit in your stomach. You walked slowly to the front door and peered through the little peephole. The blurry image of a dark blue tee filled your eyes. You vaguely recognised your neighbour. Simon Riley. Christ, you were still so out of it. You rubbed your eyes. Thank goodness it was just him. Simon had first greeted you almost a year ago in the shitty elevator of your apartment building when it had jammed with the two of you in it. You had discovered you were neighbours and had since interacted in passing; in the hall when the two of you happened on the other, at the local grocery store, and once or twice at the park at odd hours of the morning when you discovered he too had trouble sleeping. You’d pegged him for the military type, and you’d been proven right when you had happened to see him returning late one night in his uniform. You didn’t pry when you noticed. You never pried, and he liked that about you. He’d left you a set of keys to his apartment that you’d accepted without much thought, and with it came the silent agreement that you watched him go and checked his place once he’d left. Why he trusted you so much you had no idea, but if you were somehow of some use, you didn’t mind. His apartment was spartan and thankfully he didn’t have any plants to take care of- you were terrible with plants. It had gone on this way for a while, with the both of you sharing unspoken understanding. The latch on the door grated as you slotted it to the side and pulled the door open.
“‘Lo.” His gravelly voice filled the air.
“Hi.”
Silence filled the corridor. Simon shifted on the spot, pale lashes fluttering as he took you in with those dark eyes. The black medical mask over his mouth and nose muffled his voice. You realised you were zoning out and put on the cheery tone you used for acquaintances. “Sorry, uhm,” you coughed once, awkwardly, “did you need anything?”
Simon continued looking at you. What is he looking at? You suddenly felt self-conscious and dropped your eyes to the floor, thumbing over your dry lips.
“Nah, ‘was just coming to ask if the heating was workin’ again for you too. It was off earlier.”
“Oh, oh, right, yes, it’s back on I think, thank you.” A crease appeared between your eyebrows; you were fumbling your words. Simon continued to take up your doorway with his presence. You forced a smile. Your lips hurt at the sudden stretch and your tongue slipped out to rewet them. Simon just gave you a nod. The awkward silence continued to stretch and you made to hold the door with your other hand; the latch clanked and the hinges creaked where you swayed in place. “So…” He stayed quiet. You ducked your head, unsure of how to extract yourself without coming off rude. You couldn’t stomach small talk tonight. Simon’s eyes never left you.
“You doin’ okay?”
The question stopped you in your tracks. In all the time you’d known your neighbour, you’d never really spoken much about personal stuff. You got the sense he didn’t like people prying, and neither did you, so you didn’t and he seemed to have appreciated you for it. For him to be asking you if you were doing alright caught you so off guard you didn’t know how to respond. Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, I’m okay. The words just wouldn’t leave your mouth. You wondered if you really looked that pitiful. God, maybe you should’ve taken a look at yourself before you got up to answer the door. Or was it your tone of voice? Did you not sound like you usually did? You swore you’d responded perfectly. Smiled just right. Simon went blurry. Oh. Oh no. Not now. You couldn’t be tearing up now. Your traitorous voice cracked horribly when you unfroze and compelled yourself to respond.
“Ye-yeah, ‘course.” You swallowed hard against the lump in your already dry throat. Your eyebrows knitted together and you clenched your jaw to force the imminent tears to stay at bay; praying Simon hadn’t noticed and that your eyes would do you the favour of drying the glossiness up before the tears fell. Your vision cleared some, but only then did you realise it was because your tears had spilled over. You hurriedly turned your face away. Words failed you. They only emerged in a quiet, garbled mess.
“I-I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m-” You blew out cool air and attempted to cover your face with a well-positioned hand. The tears wouldn’t stop. You fanned your face with your other hand.
Simon stared. His eyes had widened ever so slightly when your tears had actually started falling. Fuck, he hadn’t expected that. You had looked tired when you opened that door, more tired than when he’d seen you last; there were faint streaks on your cheeks and so he’d asked if you were doing alright. He’d never expected to see such a meek, helpless, forlorn expression on your face. You were always smiling, happy, full of life in a way he couldn’t comprehend but appreciated nonetheless. Seeing you cry was jarring. You looked scared of your own tears, like you were genuinely confused as to why you were crying. The faintest of whispers slipped from your lips as your body shook with an involuntary sob, and suddenly Simon couldn’t let himself stand in the hall anymore.
“Hey, come here. C’mere, I’m sorry for bein’ insensitive.” His strong, warm arms enveloped you. You hadn’t experienced such a weighted hug in a long time. When was the last time you’d been this vulnerable in front of anyone? When had you last cried in someone’s arms like this? The tears fell harder and you latched onto him, face in his chest, heart in his hands.
“No, ‘m sorry, not your f-fault.” You attempted to shake your head, breaths shuddering, quietly choking out sobs into his chest. Simon held you close, one large palm cupping the back of your head, the other arm wrapped around your back. He never let anyone touch him. The feel of you in his arms was foreign, but he found he wanted to keep you right there. You fisted at his shirt; forehead to the firm, steady wall that was his chest.
“Wanna go inside? Privacy, ’n that,” Simon mumbled into your hair. You nodded. His arm flexed, holding you close while he stepped the both of you into your apartment and shut the door behind you. You didn’t remember how long you cried in his arms, or how many times he soothingly stroked the top of your head and your back and murmured reassurances, but your knees felt weak and your insides felt dry and devoid of water. At some point Simon had pressed his back to the door and slid down, gathering you in his arms on the floor of your little entryway and holding you close as you cried quietly and hopelessly and utterly uncontrollably in those strong arms. “I’ve gotcha. I’m here. I’m here, yeah?”
Simon felt you cling to him, still with so much desperation despite your inability to channel energy into your limbs. You couldn’t get words out and let the glistening, crystal tears slip down your puffy cheeks, going semi-limp in his hold. “Don’t go,” you whispered into his shoulder, whimpering and repeating yourself, “please don’t go.” Simon just pulled you in closer. You needed this. If he was being honest with himself, he needed this. A person in his arms, one that wasn’t trying to kill him or injured or dead. A person holding him tight and begging him to not leave. A person who he trusted, who was trusting him in return. He felt a lump in his own throat and forced it down.
“Don’t you worry yourself over that, love. I won’t go anywhere.”
It took you even longer to finally stop crying. A deep, shaky inhale marked the end of it all and you went fully slack. Simon let you nestle your head under his chin. He felt you match your breaths to his at last; a sense of relief filled his body. He didn’t say a word. You were no doubt embarrassed, and he didn’t exactly feel up to forming sentences himself. He adjusted you, sliding a thick forearm under your knees to hoist you up with the momentum of standing up. You simply held onto him, pliant and trusting that he wouldn’t drop you or do anything weird. So much trust for a man who was hardly around. Simon wanted to be worthy of that trust. You were a smart one, you could definitely take care of yourself, but after seeing you so torn down he felt the urge to look after you. Even if it was just for now. Your apartment had much the same layout as his, albeit smaller, and he made his way to the kitchen. He quirked a brow at the colourful mugs on the drying rack. The hand towels were equally colourful. His were just grey rags. He really needed some new ones. Simon set you down on the counter, not moving away just yet and letting you rub your eyes and sniffle wetly as you composed yourself as best you could.
“Runny nose?” He left his hands on the counter either side of you. You nodded. He brought a hand up to your face, thumbing away the droplet just under your chin where the last of your tears had collected and holding his other hand up right in front of your face. He very gently pinched your nose between his thumb and the side of his bent forefinger. “Blow.”
You did as you were told. Simon ran his hand under the tap afterwards. You spoke awkwardly. “You didn’t have to do that. ’S gross.”
“Trust me, I’ve touched worse. Little snot ain’t gonna do shit.”
You involuntarily smiled. He came back over with a damp tissue to wipe off the dried, salty tears on your face. You sat still as he mopped your cheeks with the wet tissue and idly let your legs swing. His hands were warm and the tissue was cold; the two contrasted as he held you still and cleaned you up. “I’m sorry for making you do all this. I don’t even know what came over me.”
“Don’ apologise. You’re not making me do anything.” The slow drip of the water hitting the sink basin filled the silence. Simon’s gruff voice filled your ears again, a little lower. “You need to cry, you cry. Don’t seem like you do it a lot, if I’m going by tonight.” He binned the tissue and came back over to you. “You look after my place when I’m away. Only fair if I’m lookin’ after you, innit?”
You weren’t entirely sure, but the creases at the corners of his eyes made you think he was smiling ever so slightly under that mask of his. You wanted to believe he was. The corners of your lips curled up reflexively. “Is that how it works?”
“If you want me to, of course.”
You nodded and dropped your forehead forward onto his shoulder with a soft sigh. Part of you wanted to hide your face. Simon rubbed your shoulder. “That’s that, then. I’ll stay here with you as long as you need me to. Don’t hafta talk about it.”
You let the dripping tap fill the gap once more, breathing in the distinctive smell of warmth and metal and smoke. He stayed there, unmoving. “Simon.”
“Mmh?”
“You’re really nice.”
Simon shut his eyes. Red painted the insides of his eyelids. Flashes of silver and soot and fire filled his head. He wasn’t nice. Not in the slightest. But here you were, leaning on him and calling him nice as you let the same hands capable of great violence hold you close. You probably knew, too. And still, you defined him with the word ‘nice’.
“I try.”
A/N extremely short but oh well. If you're dealing with symptoms of depression remember, talking to someone helps, there are more people there for you than you know.

ᥫ᭡———————————————————————
Movie night is almost religious between the three of you. Gojo never let you miss it, insisting that every Saturday you go over to Geto’s place and put on whatever the former wanted to watch. You managed to get a couple movie recommendations in, but the majority wound up being whatever trashy ‘bonding’ movie the white-haired man got his hands on. Suguru getting an ask in was out of the question. However, on the incredibly rare occasion he did offer his input, things were a lot more interesting. That held up no differently tonight when you went to Suguru’s place yet again; tonight the dark haired man had picked the movie, much to Satoru’s dissatisfaction. You sat between the two, leaning back into the couch cushions and sighing as the video loaded. For once both men were silent, eyes glued to the screen as the opening scene began to roll, utterly deadpan. You wondered absently what was going on; perhaps they found the movie uninteresting or perhaps they’d argued before you got there. Either way it was unnatural for the two to be so still. Bickering, joking, inhaling snacks: all of these were the norm for your movie nights and the absence of them made you grow anxious. You looked to Geto. His eyes flickered down to meet yours questioningly. He raised a brow. You looked away from him and went back to watching the movie, though Geto’s steady gaze had flustered you a little. What you didn’t see was the way Geto glanced across to where Satoru was sitting, as though silently goading him. Do it. I thought you said you’d do it, Satoru.
Gojo swallowed. He stuck his tongue out at Geto above your head, scrunching up his nose childishly. Then he very slowly made his move. “Y/n!” Gojo whined, pawing at you and putting on a clingy act, “you’re too far away. Come here.”
You squeaked in surprise as he lifted you without effort and dumped you on his lap. His head rested atop yours, arms wrapped around your waist, thigh pressed right up between your legs. You were frozen in place. Geto tried to subdue his amusement and keep up his casual stare. “‘Toru! Let go of me.”
“I don’t think I will. Why’re you so mad, hm? I’m just holding you…” His voice lowered as he spoke, leaning down until his hot breath hit your ear and made you shiver. You squirmed once, and then promptly stopped when you felt his thigh between your legs. You needed to stay still. Very still.
“Satoru you brute. Poor girl can’t breathe.” Geto gave you a mock sympathetic look, and gave Gojo an unimpressed one. His eyes, however, sparkled with amusement. The movie went on, chattering voices overlapping eachother and occasional bouts of cinematic music. You stayed stiff as a board on the blue-eyed man’s lap. The action of sitting you down on him had seemed to bring life back to Satoru, the way he kept shifting below you to exclaim how terrible the movie was or snag a snack away from Geto was making you feel warm. Heat snaked across your skin and staying still became infinitely harder; a hot rush of shame shot up your spine when you realised you were getting worked up by the perpetual flexing of his thigh and the heat of his chest against your back. Satoru’s hands were constantly readjusting and his palms bushed against your tits every time he went to wrap his arms back around you. When he leaned forward your clothed cunt rubbed against the thick muscle of his thigh and you had to suppress the urge to continue rocking your hips by yourself to chase the satisfying friction. Your panties were getting damper. Geto’s eyes were on you. You could feel his dark eyes boring into the side of your skull and you determinedly kept your gaze forward and on the actors on the screen. You had no clue what the plot of this useless ass film was. Satoru put his chin on your shoulder.
“What do you think?”
What did you think? You hadn’t been listening to the conversation at all, too busy focusing on not getting wet at the constant touchiness Satoru was prone to. And now you were faced with a question. You stammered. “I uhm- I’m sorry, repeat?”
Geto almost laughed from the other end of the tiny couch. Gojo sighed and shook his head with a subtle smirk. “Oh, don’t worry. Just watch. Suguru’s crappy movie looks like it’s actually getting interesting.” You turned your face to the screen again, completely clueless. You were squirming imperceptibly, tiny little twitches that pressed his thigh up into your steadily pulsing pussy and pushed his arms up to brush the undersides of your breasts. Your nipples were hardening from the maddening feel of hands touching you, but not quite there. You shifted and held your breath like it was gonna do anything about your current position. Suguru was still watching you.
“Satoru, she doesn’t look too good.” He hummed sympathetically. He cooed at you. “Satoru’s squishing you, huh. You wanna come here?”
You paused, not wanting to offend Satoru by sliding off his lap but not entirely trusting Geto’s honey-sweet tone either. You bit your lip. Fuck it. The lesser of the two evils it was! You turned your head to try to give Gojo an apologetic look, before detaching yourself from his arms. “I wasn’t even doing anything Sugu!” He whined. You shared a look with Geto and the two of you huffed in amusement. Gojo was ridiculously clingy when it came down to it. Gojo rolled his eyes at the two of you. You sat back down in the middle, but it looked like Suguru had other plans when he asked you if you wanted to get off of his best friend’s lap. This time it was Geto’s arms around you and his- you daresay- thicker thigh between yours. “Sugu-”
“Shh. Watch the movie. I’m gonna quiz you on it, so pay attention. I’m sure you can focus better without Satoru holding you so tight, am I right?”
This evil, evil man. He had no intention of letting you focus any better at all. You begrudgingly relented and leaned back into his chest with confusion all over your face. And then it started.
If you thought Satoru’s touchiness had been bad, Geto didn’t even try to hide his. His large hands cupped your tits, giving you ten times more friction than Gojo had and bouncing his knee idly beneath you in a way that bumped your clit and got you even wetter. You were fully squirming now, trying not to enjoy being practically fondled and struggling to do so. That officiated it. They were doing this on purpose, or at least Suguru was. You weren’t sure about Gojo. Little by little you began to roll your hips to match his flexing thigh, inhaling sharply when he squeezed your tits without a word and continuously brushed your nipples where they pebbled through your shirt. You felt hot and overwhelmed and needy, the touches were working you up and yet they just weren’t enough. In all your lustful haze you’d forgotten about Satoru, who, when you looked over guiltily, was watching you with a hungry expression on his face. He was hard. Your eyes widened at the unmistakeable swell in his sweatpants over his crotch, it was so hard you could practically see the veins of his cock through the soft material of his sweats. His best friend’s hands on your body somehow got him even harder; the sight of you worked up and confused and unable to do anything about it sent blood right down to his head and he was growing twitchy and impatient. Suguru had agreed to share you before you came around, but it looked like you were being hogged. Gojo reached a hand out to your face. “You’re still having trouble focusing, hm?”
Your breathing stuttered. Geto laughed behind you, and the vibration ran through his chest to your back. “Focus on me instead, sweets.”
Satoru squished your cheeks in a warm hand. His face inched closer and closer to yours until you gasped and screwed your eyes shut and scrunched your nose in anticipation. Cute. Gojo took a second to look at you, chuckled, and pressed his lips to yours. Your eyes damn near flickered open when he shoved his tongue in your mouth immediately; his other hand came down to squeeze the soft skin of your thigh. Those long, deft fingers of his inched upwards as he kissed you stupid, and you moaned helplessly into his mouth when he reached the sensitive skin of your inner thighs. You broke apart with a sharp inhale; eyes half lidded, spit glistening on your lips and stringing between both of your mouths.
“So pretty. Look at you. Look at her, Suguru.”
“I’m looking.”
You turned to face the dark-haired man, and Geto’s unmistakable heady expression made you falter. Oh. You were in trouble.
▹▹▹
“Say ahh-” Gojo patted your cheek, trying desperately to keep up his cocky composure, but your plush, pretty, spit soaked lips had him knitting his eyebrows together in the most gorgeous of focused expressions. You were facing Satoru on the couch, movie long forgotten, entirely zoned in on pressing chaste little kisses to his throbbing cock. His tip was an angry flushed red and it oozed sticky strings of pre that slipped down to his balls every time you pressed those kisses to the underside of his veiny shaft; the milky substance coated your lips with every fervent smooch to his balls, his base, his glossy, twitching head. Behind you, Geto was working on your drooling pussy. He had his hands on the soft, round fat of your ass, spreading you open unabashedly to take a good long look at his work. Your pussy glistened and your back arched in anticipation as you felt him rub his thumb lovingly along your slit. You directed your focus with great effort back to Satoru and did as he instructed. Gojo tapped his glazed ruby tip on your tongue, breathing out in long, low moans that matched each pat of his dick to your face. He whimpered, rubbing his cock over your pretty cheeks and staring at the glistening sheen of pre that left a trail wherever he slapped the heavy length of his dick. You whined.
“Lemme suuck. Wanna suck it ‘Toru.”
Oh fuck. Oh fuckkk. Gojo almost came right there. His head entered the hot confines of your mouth and the two of you let out twin moans; Gojo, because your mouth felt divine, and you, because Geto had just sunk his long, dextrous fingers into your syrupy cunt. Suguru fucked his middle and index fingers into your pussy from behind as though attempting to gouge out your insides; his movements were almost clinical in the way he rolled your clit under his thumb every time the base of his fingers met your sopping hole. You squealed at the sensation around Gojo’s dick and Satoru jerked his hips forward violently, fucking his cock down your slippery throat. Tears pricked your eyes from the simultaneous stimulation of Geto fingering your pussy and Gojo stroking your face as he pushed his cock into it.
“Mmh oh, you’re such a good girl.” Satoru slurred, grinding his cock into your hot mouth as you gagged and choked, desperately trying to take it all. Suguru groaned low and hard behind you, the hand stabilising him on your ass moved away and you were left with the cold ghost of where it had been; quiet little ‘shlllck, squelch, schlick’s emerged from somewhere behind you that told you Geto was jerking himself off as he fingered you.
“Be good. Stay righttt there, baby, be good.” Geto replaced the loss of his other hand with his mouth, dipping his head into the dripping mess between your thighs and licking a sloppy, saliva filled stripe from your clit to your slick-soaked, fluttering hole. You could only whine around Satoru’s cock.
“Just f-fuck her, Suguru. Wan’- ohhhh yeah- feel you fuck her onto my dick.” Gojo whimpered, uncontrollably shoving his length down your throat; his heavy balls hit your bottom lip in his feverish, horny stupor and dripped milky strings of saliva and pre down your chin to your neck.
“You’re so fuckin’ impatient, Satoru.” Geto shuffled forward, retracting his fingers from your pussy with an obscene squelch. His brow furrowed. He rubbed his dick up against the swathes of slick between your legs. You wiggled your hips in an attempt to get him to push in. The filthy sound of you sucking Satoru off overran the audio from the movie, and Suguru at last sank the head of his weeping cock into your heat. You pulled off of Gojo’s dick to gasp, mewling at the incredible stretch from just the head; Geto was immeasurably big. He was huge. He groaned and his hips stuttered, he pushed himself all the way in and plugged your pulsing cunt full with him. He moved his hips back. The noise from where the two of you were connected was the nastiest, loudest slurrrrp. You babbled mindlessly, collapsing onto Satoru’s lap with his spit-soaked dick resting on your cheek, “’s sooo big!! Too much!”
Geto gathered what little composure he could and with a focused grunt, started up a slow rhythm that quickly tuned into him pistoning his cock into your poor, gooey pussy. Satoru stroked your face. He eased himself back into your mouth with a mumbled ‘you okay?’ You just suckled on the fat tip, unable to do much more than let Geto’s thrusts push you forward and get you to throat Satoru’s cock deeper. Tears pricked your eyes. “Oh- fuck- Suguru, look at her, she’s cryin’! Soooo good, aren’t you? Fuck, I wish I could’ve eaten you out.”
You let out a choked sob of pleasure around Gojo’s dick in response. Geto huffed with the effort of trying to shove his dribbling cock into you; your walls were so tight and sucking him in so adamantly he could barely listen to what Satoru was talking about.
“S-Satoru,” the dark haired man stammered- a rare phenomenon, “shut up. You wanna taste her so bad, suck on my fingers.”
Before Satoru could respond, Geto pushed the fingers that had been inside you into Gojo’s mouth, and the latter moaned at the taste of your wet pussy on his best friend’s fingers.
You were fucked out of your mind. You couldn’t register anything beyond the blinding pleasure you were feeling, and the gradual buildup of your orgasm. Shit. You were going to cum. You squealed around Satoru’s cock and creamed all over Geto’s. Tears slipped down your squished, puffy cheeks. Suguru groaned at the spasming of your pussy around his length.
“C-cumming! Shitshitshit, ’m cumming!” Satoru soaked the inside of your mouth with his pearly seed, groaning deeply as he jerked his hips up, once, twice, three times into your welcoming throat, not minding how it overflowed and sloshed out. You gulped it down, sliding your lips off with an audible ‘pop’ and panting heavily as Gojo turned to mush before your eyes. Geto whimpered- actually whimpered at the vulgar noises and snapped his hips flush to yours, his balls hit your clit and he nutted right inside you with a pained moan.
“Come here.”
What was with these guys’ stamina? Suguru pulled you so your sweaty back was flush with his chest. You heaved out breaths as his cock slipped out of you and his cum leaked out. Satoru stared at the image in front of him. His eyes were wide as he gazed at the creamy mess Suguru had made of your pussy. He shuffled closer to kiss you.
“So pretty. You can take me too, can’t you?”
You regretted nodding your head.
Satoru fucked his hips into you; he stretched your tight hole out on top of the already overwhelming stretch of Suguru’s dick. Both. Balls deep in your cunt. You were convulsing; your hole fluttered helplessly trying to accommodate the both of them. Suguru reached up from behind you to roll your nipples between his fingers. You were about to burst, whining incoherent words into Gojo’s mouth.
“You’re doing hah- so well.” Geto groaned beneath you and it resonated into your back through his chest. Gojo’s hand shoved itself between your bodies to rub your clit and you moaned obscenely, lavishing in the praise. Plap, plap, plap.
“Fuck, Sugu, I can feel your dick moving inside her,” Gojo broke away from your mouth to whimper into your shoulder; both of them fucked into you- when Geto pulled out, Gojo pushed in.
“She’s close, Satoru, don’t fucki- don’t stop.” You twitched, feeling something snap and a gush as you squirted all over Satoru’s lower half. Gojo creamed inside you two seconds into feeling you cumming around both of their dicks. His swollen tip swabbed inside you. His cum sploshed out and trickled down Suguru’s balls. The dark-haired man groaned, bucking his hips up to squirt his seed into you for the second time. Creamy rings adorned the bases of their dicks. The three of you panted hard. Gojo crushed you onto Geto’s chest, completely boneless as the aftershocks of his orgasm ran through him. Slowly, the two pulled out, leaving your wrecked pussy to gape around nothing.
“Shit… 'can’t move,” you mumbled, rolling over to nuzzle your face into Geto’s neck tiredly. Gojo squashed himself behind you and the three of you lay there, fucked out.

“Why won’t that asshole answer his phone?” Toji sighed and opened the unlocked door to Suguru’s place. Good thing the door was open, or he might’ve had to break it in and interrogate the tall bastard as to where exactly his stuff was.
“Oi! Geto!” Toji called out. “Where’s-” Toji abruptly cut himself off at the sight of you, naked, between the very man he was looking for and a familiar mess of white hair. He stared. Then his scarred lip curled into a smirk.
“Oh. No wonder you didn’t answer your phone.... Room for one more?”

Donnie’s bed was warm. You’d spent the last three hours getting pelted by the hot, sticky New York rain as you failed in your endeavour to finish your errands for the day. First, all of the trains had been delayed because the city’s coalition of crackheads had decided today was the day they demonstrated their power. You had spent an hour outside with fat droplets bursting on your face as you waited for the bus instead, but to no avail. It seemed the bus driver just hadn’t wanted to pick up the passengers at the bus stop you were waiting at, and what’s more, drove past as such speed it soaked your legs with the grimy water collecting in the gutter that conjoined the road and the sidewalk. Another hour was spent trying to walk to a different bus station. Your phone ran out of battery midway and you resorted to very angrily stomping through the streets for shelter. Finally, thoroughly soaked through, undignified and ready to hit something, you made your way to the closest entrance down into the sewers and just prayed you’d find salvation in the lair.
Donnie had been grabbing a juice box from the kitchen when you’d squelched in looking utterly disgruntled. Mikey was closer, lounging on a beanbag by the lair’s entrance when you arrived and hopping up when he noticed your presence, bounding over with a big grin.
“Wassup, wassup, wassup! Uhh… You take a dip before you get here?”
You glumly stared at Mikey in response. Droplets of rainwater slid down the contours of your clothes and dismally dripped down onto the floor, leaving you with a personal puddle. “Funny, Angel.” You grit your teeth as you spoke, sighing heavily. You were sure the damp was entering your soul and giving you some sort of spiritual pneumonia. Donnie made his way over almost immediately after, a sympathetic look on his face. He did seem a little amused at the wet rat look you had going on, though. Adorable.
“Hey. You should get in the shower, you look freezing. How long were you in the rain for?”
You shook your head and shrugged.
“Um- maybe a couple hours? I left at 9 and I don’t know what time it is right now, so…”
“Three hours. C’mon, let’s get you dry. Don’t worry about the floor. Mikey can handle it.”
Donnie shot Mikey a half stern, half playful look and ushered you along. Mikey groaned exaggeratedly in the background as you both headed off towards the shower. Donnie’s large hands hovered beside your shoulders, unsure of whether he should touch you as he walked alongside you. You had started rambling.
“I’m sorry for turning up unannounced. My phone ran outta juice and the trains and buses were delayed and I couldn’t go anywhere to get out of the rain because apparently the stores have a limit on people getting shelter without buying something, which is ridiculous but they were full anyway so it didn’t matter if I bought something or not.”
Donnie was trying to listen, he really was, but he was more concerned about the way you were shivering and the waterlogged swell of your clothes. “Don’t worry, you’re always allowed down here. Here. If you’re okay with it, I can help you out of that?”
You hesitated, but then remembered the variety of embarrassing situations you’d been in with the turtles over the years and relented with a nod. This was just another one of those. That’s all this was.
“Right. Arms up.” Donnie peeled the heavy jacket off you, along with your sweater. He averted his eyes determinedly and busied himself with turning the shower on while you shucked off your heavy jeans. You were less than amused by the way they refused to come off and clung onto you as though suctioned by the rain.
“These- fuck- ass- jeans!” You heaved a breath once they finally came off, leaving you in your equally soggy underwear. You grimaced. Ew. Donnie almost laughed at the sound of your struggles. He rummaged until he found the nicer-smelling soap from the cabinet to leave in the shower caddy.
“Just leave them in the laundry bin, we can deal with the washing later. I’m pretty sure Mikey still has a big ass load of his stuff to be dried so we’ll need to wait anyway.”
“Thank you Don.”
Donnie left a couple of towels on the rail and very quickly exited, saying something vaguely about finding you some clothes. You weren’t listening, too busy stepping under the warm rush of the shower and sighing in relief; the steam quickly rose up to fill the bathroom. Salvation at last. As you sluiced the soap suds off your body and tried to forget the potential undiscovered waterborne diseases New York boasted, you thought about Donnie. You both had a strange dynamic. I mean, he’d literally just helped you out of your clothes like it was normal, doesn’t that count as strange? When you had first met the turtles almost three and a half years ago, you had been more concerned with keeping your distance: maintaining a decent balance of closeness while remaining apart. Your attempts to be poised had quickly become in vain with the sheer amount of life-threatening situations you’d been thrown into after meeting the turtles. There was being tracked down by foot soldiers, getting stranded underground with Raph and Donnie, having to deal with all the other problems that came with Leo’s insistence on your inclusion on patrols, not to mention the Krang’s quasi-invasion and subsequent disarray amongst the foot clan. After all of it, you had grown far closer to the brothers and less preoccupied with courtesy. Donnie was who you grew the closest to. He’d learned that he could rely on you to help him in the lab in ways the others couldn’t. Mikey was banned from the lab for a reason after all. You had the ability to reach where he couldn’t, had the same perfectionist trait that made him trust you’d do everything just as he told you to and the desire to learn and not just replicate. You loved when he taught you about complex things in simple ways and you quickly learned to get the gist of what he was talking about when he went into a lecture about planetary systems or biomechanics. After long nights working alongside him, or calls begging him to help you with your major’s material that turned into scheduled meetings where he’d help you with your assignments, things turned complicated. The calls often got sidetracked to the latest episode of a show you both liked, or the Knicks winning a game, or other ridiculous theoretical conversations. The two of you were complicated people with a complicated relationship, but you were eternally grateful to have found a friend and mentor in the purple turtle.
The squeak of the shower turning off pulled you from your thoughts and you instead focused on wrapping yourself up in one of the towels on the rack. Donnie had left you some of your spare clothes just outside, and you gratefully pulled them on. You and April had collectively decided to stash a change of clothes down in the lair for the next time you’d inevitably need it, and it had payed off once more. Though you did feel a little awkward about your underwear being right next to Leo’s stuff even if the leader in blue had insisted there was space for yours and April’s spare clothes. Mikey too had offered half of his and Raph’s shared wardrobe space, but you were a little skeptical of its cleanliness. You knew for a fact Leo religiously cleaned his room and taking up the cramped compartments both Mikey and Raph already needed to use hadn’t felt right. The orange turtle had definitely just asked for April’s sake, anyway.
Feeling clean and far warmer than before, you padded right to Donnie’s bedroom to make use of his bed. Lord knew he hardly used it. He often opted to sleep in his lab or desk chair or the couch in the main area. The lair had a cold, damp, soggy sort of atmosphere due to the relentless rain above ground and you refused to catch a cold; you tugged the corner of the blanket around you to shield you from the possibility. Donnie wouldn’t mind. He never seemed to mind how you’d grown so comfortable regarding his things. As you huddled under the covers you spotted your phone charging in one of the ports beside the bed. You hid your smile in the blankets. The purple turtle truly was a sweetheart.

“Leo, ion mess with this plan ‘a yours.”
“Yeah? Well we’re doing this anyway. Now listen up. We know Karai is taking over as leader of the foot clan, since Shredder is out of the playing field. I need our eyes across the city tonight, which means you—” Leo pointed at Raph “—need to focus on Downtown Brooklyn. Mikey, listen, you’ve got 63rd. Casey’s focusing on the NYPD gig at the bridge and April, you’re down scouting on lower east side. I’ll be around there.” The leader in blue reiterated your positions for the third time tonight, sighing heavily to himself and pinching between his eyes as Mikey gave April a big beam and thumbs up. He then turned to you.
“You’re posted near Red hook. Donnie, you’ve got the job of patrolling in the truck. But keep a low profile, would you?”
Donnie nodded in response, checking the time on his watch. You watched the way the tall turtle flexed his hands, his tridactyl fingers fidgeting to fix any loose straps on his gear. You yourself instinctively mimicked the action, checking your own comms and ensuring your pack was secured tight. The lot of you dispersed. The foot clan had become disorganised with Shredder out of the picture and only with Karai’s ascension to leader did they stand a chance. That was exactly what was happening, and tonight was the night the foot clan was going to hit the city, fully operational once more.
Initially you hadn’t been the greatest at these sorts of things. Leo and Master Splinter had seen your potential to be useful on missions and convinced you of your proficiency. Both you and April were good at remaining inconspicuous where the boys would stand out and your job tonight was to play innocent, patrol near the docks and inform the turtles of any foot clan activity by them. The lot of you were to act as a network, if one of you spotted the rise of soldiers the rest could relay it and, with the help of the NYPD, shut it down before it started. That was the plan at least. You really couldn’t stick around for long, not with the iron weight of the assignments you’d left to the last minute encumbering your thoughts. The idea of your beady eyed professor clacking on his keyboard with his grubby uncut nails to email you for the second time about your late submissions made you wrinkle your nose. One way or another you were shutting the foot clan’s shit down and finishing your pending work.
Two hours passed with no sign of any activity at all. You’d had a lovely conversation with an old man who seemed to have gotten the fancy to fish at this time of night, and you were too endeared to have any objections. Other than helping said man and his kit down to the docks there hadn’t been any further encounters. Your breath clouded as it hit the air. The cold of the evening began to penetrate your layers. The sky was dark and contrasted harshly by the lights of the city; wind blew in all directions and the endless noise of the sleepless citizens seemed to reach your ears through a muffler. You shut your eyes. The wind disturbed your hair and fluttered through your clothing. You felt your heart slow. Perhaps the sudden tranquility running through you was what prompted you to open your eyes again just in time to catch a dark shadow dropping down from a cargo container. Immediately the sound of your heartbeat entered your ears, your pupils contracted and you were as alert as anything. What was that? You had been hoping the bay would remain untouched, but the rational side of your brain knew that was implausible. The splash of the waves lapping at the edge of the bay and the usual bustle of the city were all that filled the air; gentle creaks and groans from the walled off construction site and the occasional muted yell pierced the night. Everything felt as though it was held in suspense for a moment. Before you could jump to any hasty conclusions you got closer to get a better look… Silence. Perhaps you’d imagined i- CRACK. The sudden crackle of your comms made you jump. You cursed and exhaled in relief when you realised it was just Mikey. You really needed to get Donnie on refining the long range comms system. Your relief was short lived once the sound of the orange turtle’s voice filled your ears.
“Dudes, we have foot soldiers coming out the underground. Hurry your shells over here, over.”
“Mikey we told you, you don’t gotta say ‘over’ every damn time.” The sound of Raph’s voice filled your ears and you almost let out a chuckle before Leo interjected.
“We have some trouble up here too. There was an IED that went off just a second ago. Casey, get ready, I’m gonna try to bring them to the bridge. Looks like about fifty of them. ATL Karai, Mikey.”
“ATL? Why are we talking about Atlanta right now, over?”
“Attempt. To. Locate!” You could hear the way the leader in blue was gritting his teeth even through the static-y audio of your comms.
“Guys, I’m seeing soldiers here, too. They must be all over the city.” April’s hushed voice could be heard. You scanned your perimeters, hoping she was wrong. That would really fuck up your night. Leave it to the foot clan to take a dump on your plans for peace.
“Ah fuck. Yeah, you’re right April. I got some trash downtown to take out,” Raph grunted. The blue glow from your tracker left highlights on your face. You checked their positions. Raph… Mikey… April… Leo… Your eyes flickered up away from your tracker a second too late, you were met face to face with a foot soldier. Shit! You hadn’t been paying attention. Comms. Tell Leo. You went for your comms and the soldier attempted to get a solid hit to your head with their elbow. It landed with a thump and you let out a yelp that thankfully carried through to the others.
“They’re at the docks!”
Donnie was coincidentally near the bay when the comms crackled to life and everyone clashed as they reported the foot clan activity popping up across the city. He swerved the truck the second he heard your voice. His heart rate spiked. The tone of your voice had sounded pained and he was starting to freak out a little. “Hang tight, I can get to the docks. Leo, what’s the plan?”
“Our mission is to minimise damage and lock up Karai. Focus on the objective people.”
You ducked under the second swing the soldier aimed at you, getting up close to hit the figure hard in the gut; the ninja doubled over and you used the butt of your trusty taser to hit them over the head. Thank god you’d curated your own set of essentials to bring on these missions. You spotted a couple of other shadows in the dark and, cursing, ran for cover. Despite the situation your mind was still on how screwed you’d be if you got home late. You ran through the different options you had in your mind: email your profs and say you were indisposed and hadn’t had a chance to finish, go radio silent until your next lecture, pull an all-nighter. None of the options seemed feasible and you silently lamented your poor decision to do your work tonight. The thought of employing Donnie’s help very briefly ran through your mind, but you knew full well you couldn’t bring yourself to keep the poor man awake. He had his own work to do. Quit being selfish. You ducked behind the rusty corrugated metal scrap left over from the construction site, sandwiched between a wall and the scrap with your head throbbing where the guy’s elbow had connected with your cranium. Holding your breath, you waited and listened for any sound. The others were talking over each other on the comms and you winced at the stuttering audio, praying it was inaudible to anyone who got close to your hiding spot, shutting your eyes for a second while you regained your bearings. Footsteps echoed. Their volume increased incrementally until you were sure if you didn’t move you’d be a sitting duck. Moving quickly, you sidestepped out from your hiding spot, holding the handle of your taser and keeping your elbows tucked close. I can do this, you thought. A throwing knife shot right in your direction as you emerged and the glistening edge grazed your arm, zipping past. Oh hell no, I can’t do this. You instinctively flinched away in anticipation of the second, but instead heard a dull twang as it ricocheted off a metal surface and you were left unscathed.
Donnie had arrived. You felt a giant wave of relief flood your body. He kicked back and spun around, a couple more silver blurs rebounded off his shell; he used his staff to sweep two of the foot soldiers off their feet, hitting the advancing ones with the end of the bo. Spin, sweep, thwack, kick. You always loved watching him fight, the speed at which the movements were performed and the analysis and execution all at once baffled you. Donnie moved with a kind of fluidity that made you forget his size, he looked like he was floating. His combat skills were a form of art. The shadowy figures lay slumped on the ground and the tall turtle whipped back in your direction, coming back over to you once he’d ensured no one else was close by. Exertion made his voice a little lower.
“Hey. We need to get out of here before any more ninja turn up. I was thinking if we use the truck, we might just be able to get across the city and rendezvous at the—you’re hurt. Hey, no, let me see.” Donnie frowned when he noticed your arm and you rolled your shoulder back so he wouldn’t fuss over it.
“Donnie, I’m fine, I’m just glad you’re here. You don’t have to-” You let out a big sigh as Donnie’s large hand gently pressed against your upper arm. He inspected the sliver cut into your clothing and the line in your skin that beaded glistening drops of red. His thumb swiped some of it away and he sucked in a breath at the same time you sharply inhaled. He fumbled for a patch in his tool belt, pulling down on the opening in the fabric to stick the sterile strip on your wound. He pushed to ensure it stuck properly.
“So. What d’you think?”
“What I always think. You’re amazing.” You inspected the patch and experimentally moved your arm. Donnie smiled.
“Not the greatest patch job in the world but I’ll take care of it once we’re in a safer location. Good to go for now. Let’s get to the truck.”
The two of you made it to where Donnie had parked after taking out several other soldiers. Donnie had a steadfast focus. The yellow and red ’Tartaruga brothers’ emblazoned across the side of the modded van stood out in the dim light of the streetlamp and you hopped in the passenger seat. You remembered doing the spot welding on the wires above the centre console a while back with the tall turtle; you’d had a gnarly crick in your neck after spending hours on the welding. It had been left untouched for a while before he’d enlisted your help. Donnie’s arm flexed as he started the van up and turned the steering wheel to round the vehicle onto the main roads, and you watched. You absentmindedly wondered if in the future you could do this again in a different context. Just you and Donnie on a night drive. That sounded nice. You’re on a mission, focus. You leaned over to switch on the main gps. Did Donnie really need so many buttons on the display? You eyed the little coloured dots that indicated where everyone’s location was. “There won’t be much traffic. Our ETA to the bridge is 20 minutes, but I’m gonna speed.” Donnie paused, looking over at you, then the road, then back at you. “You okay?” There was a faint ringing in your ears and you blinked. Your head pricked uncomfortably. The coloured dots of Donnie’s gps left light trails in your vision when the truck bumped over a pothole; long exposure was not on your list of effects your vision had. That wasn’t great. You blinked it away.
“I’m okay. Long night.” You tried to give him a smile. Donnie kept his eyes fixed on the road, not buying your response, but not able to press further, either. It was always like this with him. He could never find the courage to invade your mind, to ask the questions that actually mattered. He could touch you under the guise of helping you, but he couldn’t reach over to hold your hand. Now that he thought about it, there were all sorts of inconsistencies with the careful balance you both had. He’d helped you out of your clothes: that succeeded hand holding, right? No. You trusted him to help you and he had. That was all. He was the one agonising over every little detail and blowing things out of proportion. That had been to help you. Holding your hand now would just be presumptuous. But he wanted to. Greedy. The silent support would’ve probably helped him, too, but he kept both hands firmly on the wheel. Responsibility came first, like Leo said.
A good 15 minutes later you both reached the Manhattan bridge where the NYPD had gathered officers in charge of the operation. There had been a sort of barricade set up at both ends of the bridge that would serve to close in any hostiles who got in close. Leo had brought the foot clan to them; Mikey and Raph had also intersected with their respective groups of foot soldiers on their tails and were 2 minutes out from the force. If all went smoothly things would be wrapped up in the next hour. You hopped out from the truck, jogging over to where Casey stood beside Bureau chief Vincent with his hands on his hips. The man shook his head, cursing. “Dang it. No Karai.” You surveyed the scene: several black-clad figures bound together and being pushed down into the back of a police van. You looked to Donnie who was frowning but gave you a nod when he caught your gaze. As if sensing your want for information, he checked the holographic display on his watch.
“Mikey and Raph are a mile out. With the police covering the city attacks seem to be lower than the average at which they were when Shredder was in charge. We can only surmise that tonight the foot clan was… operating separately from Karai, probably with expendable recruits. It looks like she has some self-preservation.” He frowned again, eyes scanning your surroundings for Leo. You shut your eyes for a moment. Your head was still twinging, a relentless, cyclical pain that told you here and now to give up on your already half-hearted plans of an all-nighter. A touch to your shoulder snapped your eyes open once more.
“We’re moving.”

The way back from the police department almost lulled you to sleep. Donnie offered to drop you to your apartment on the way back to the lair. You had gratefully accepted, leaning against the truck door and staring out of the window as Donnie drove. The quiet sound of the brother’s voices drifted from the back.
“I’m sayin’ they knew that we knew about their little stunt tonight. If Leo had listened when I said-”
“Alright, enough. I can admit tonight didn’t exactly go as planned, Raph. Now cut it out.”
“Did you guys see the amount of soldiers though? I was totally freaking out for a second there but it was like takedown city. I don’t even think they were trained, just guns in the hand and go.” Mikey gestured exaggeratedly, leaning back in his seat with a sigh and continuing to press his thumbs to his phone screen; a faint laser sound emitted from the game he was playing.
“Karai’s roping innocents into her ranks.” Leo spotted Mikey’s concerned expression and shook his head, stepping around to put a hand on Mikey’s shoulder. “Don’t worry little brother. We’ll handle this.”
“Man I’m tired of this junk. I ain’t doin’ the dishes tonight Leo, ’s your turn.” Raph mumbled. He ran a hand over his face to rub the sleep from it. Leo deadpanned.
“We have a rota.”
Raph imitated his voice under his breath “‘We have a rota.’ Control issues much?”
“Dudes I’m trying to beat my score on here would you please postpone this argument?”
“Shut up Mikey.”
Donnie parked in front of your dingy student apartment building, shifting in his seat and leaning across to open your door for you while you unbuckled. Your chest was warm where it had touched his forearm. The warmth of his skin lingered over your heart as you got out of the car and watched Donnie drive off. A tired walk later, you were back home. The door to your apartment creaked with effort as you opened it and closed it behind you. You kicked off your shoes, hopping in a frustrated circle to tug off the second one and almost falling over. The extractor in your little bathroom whirred to life and started up its loud humming while you attempted to wash your hands and splash water on your face. ‘Just a quick shower and I can start my work’ you reasoned, stripping out of the now dirty clothes from the mission. You took a minute to stare at yourself in the mirror. No bad bruises from the mission, thankfully, but you had a sneaking suspicion your hair was covering up a hefty splodge of dark purple. The ache in your skull told you as much. The shower washed away the sweat that had collected down your back. You towelled yourself off, flopping down onto your sheets completely bare and exhausted. A dog barked down the street. The tick of the boiler cooling down set a familiar pace to the evening, the cool night air flowing in from the old fire escape window and a warm, soft glow from the lamps you had everywhere spilled out over the floor. You reached for the neatly folded pile of clothing on the bed, hardly moving to tug on a pair of panties and a shirt before unceremoniously rolling over to sit up and locate your laptop and phone. It was late. Your head hurt and you still had inordinate amounts of work to do. You took a look at your phone screen and were met with the sight of several notifications: an email, a few messages in the group chat from Leo, the persistent settings notification asking you to update your phone for the umpteenth time and the latest notification was from Donnie. Huh. 3 minutes ago. You clicked on the notification, unlocking your phone to read it.
Don🔬: Hey. I’m available tonight if you wanted some help to finish your assignments.
You looked at the message with a completely blank face. Then you read it again and the tiniest of smiles began to form. God, Donnie was a lifesaver. You’d complained about the work before the mission earlier that evening to Raph with no idea at all that Donnie had been listening. You held your breath and typed out a reply.
You: Are you sure? It’s late and I don’t want to keep you up.
You set your phone face down, arm flung over your face as you lay there. His response came quicker than you expected.
Don🔬: I’m sure. Join the call when you’re ready, I’ll be waiting.
You scrambled off your bed, sitting down on your squeaky desk chair and turning on your monitor. You winced at the sudden glare from the screen and blindly fumbled for your glasses to put them on. A couple of clicks later you were staring at yourself in the grainy video feed of a zoom call, preparing to join. You tugged your wrinkled shirt. The mini you in the box mimicked your movements. Donnie had called you like this countless times and every time felt just as nerve wracking as the first, the anticipation of seeing him got your gut all twisted. You clicked once more and were met with the usual sight of Donnie in his chair. The blue glow from his nook of monitors cast his face in soft shadows. You could see the other screens in the background as he scooted his chair closer and the fact that he was stripped of his usual gear. Donnie smiled at the sight of your rumpled appearance. “Hey. You ready?”
You had to swallow down your nerves, nodding and rummaging around for your notebook and a pen that hadn’t run out of ink. You preferred taking your notes physically even if half of them were illegible. The three assignments you had, two of which were almost third of the way complete, were promptly pulled up. “I’m trying to hunker down on my argument for the essay and I think I’ve almost got it so I’m good on that, but for um… this one,” you shared your screen so Donnie could take a look, “this one I have no clue how to start. Or finish. Or anything, really. I just don’t understand how to apply the stupid Herfindahl-Hirschman index in this context or what econometric and statistical modelling even is anymore and I’m sick of it. How is this even relevant? I also wrote down-” you pushed up your blue light glasses awkwardly as you rifled through your notes, “-this, about what the professor said on the assignment. I can’t actually make out the first half so it’s useless, but if you can decipher it then by all means.”
You had a stressed expression on your face that made Donnie want to simultaneously laugh and fix everything immediately. He swallowed, focusing on the material you’d provided him. He’d spent a while familiarising himself with the concepts you had to learn, and with his affinity for the mathematical sides of things he’d whizzed through it without issue. You on the other hand had always been the more creative sort, thinking largely in complex, abstract branches that looped around than focused, linear cognitions. He understood, he himself was similar, though he made more sense of certain equations than you did.
“Okay, let’s start by going through the concept and then you tell me how you tried applying the HHI to this context, sound good?”
You nodded. Donnie adjusted his glasses and pulled up the good old whiteboard function. “Sweet. Okay, so imagine you have uh- um, let’s say, a bunch of grapes.” Donnie began to scribble something vaguely resembling grapes on the white screen. The pen lagged on your end and after a glitch some misshapen purple blobs appeared. You smiled. “You split it so you have 1 grape, 2 grapes, 3 grapes and 3 more grapes. These are going to represent hypothetical market shares; 10%, 20% and so on, and you have to square these numbers.” Donnie squiggled little ‘2’s that looked more like mirrored ’S’s next to the poorly drawn grapes. He knew full well you were well acquainted with the topic, but knew the best way to teach you was to start from the beginning. Besides, this way was more engaging both for him and for you.
“Add them up and there’s your HHI. 2300. This one’s a moderately concentrated index since it’s less than 2500.”
“So 23 grapes,” you responded, and Donnie nodded with a smile. “Precisely. I’m not drawing 23 grapes so don’t get your hopes up,” he quickly added when he caught your hopeful expression. “We need to focus. Now, I won’t further insult your intellectual prowess by continuing, I think you got the point. Tell me how you tried applying it to this question?”
Hours passed without your awareness. Notes filled your lined paper. A lukewarm mug of tea sat on your desktop; you’d gotten up at some point to put the kettle on to keep you going. You had slowed down considerably, encompassed by the warmth of the duvet you’d dragged off the bed and the pillow you had atop your desk to save your elbows. The bruised-eye-blue of predawn clouded the sky and you had long since submitted your work, started completing the essay, and yielded to your drowsiness. Donnie himself was still awake. The long caffeinated nights and endless energy drinks had given him a sort of nocturnal ability that he found useful in moments like these. He was watching you slip away on his screen. The lightening sky was filtering in through your curtains and leaving your room with a comforting fuzzy quality that bathed your figure in deep blueish grey shadows. The clutter around his setup had increased overnight; a box of pop tarts was tipped over on his desk, several charts lay discarded with brown espresso rings staining their diagrams and an old knitted blanket Raph had made was hanging over the armrest of his chair and swung every time he swivelled around. He was speaking at a quieter volume so as to not stir you from your imminent slumber. You were squinting at your screen, trying to navigate the infuriating submission system your uni used while Donnie rattled on about the pros and cons of his ‘compact mechanic’ robotics project.
“-and bam! I got it. I knew it would be awesome when I printed the first prototype, but the detail on the final model really exceeded my expectations, inter alia. It’s still a work in progress, it’s just the outer shell- pun not intended- that I’ve completed. But enough about me. All done?”
You tiredly nodded; eyes straining as you went to click the final submission button of the night. You were very visibly nodding off. Your duvet was slipping off from around your shoulders along with your shirt sleeve. You suspired, gazing at Donnie on your screen with a look that made his heart stutter.
“Mmhm. ’Took forever.”
Donnie blinked himself back to his senses, watching you contentedly settle your head down on your arms, glasses askew. How he wished he could be there to take them off and put you to bed. But Donnie was a coward and in lieu of his wishes opted to longingly stare at you through his screen. “I’m beat.” You yawned, hair curling over your forehead. Donnie’s fingers twitched, itching to push it out of your face. He sighed. He needed to stop.
“You did it, though. Hard part’s all over.”
An almost delirious, satisfied smile formed on your sleepy face. “You helped. I don’t know…” you yawned again, “…what I’d do without you, Donnie. You’re the best. I love you.”
The words had slipped from you so casually Donnie hadn’t even registered them for a moment. You’d said it once or twice before in a joking manner, but nothing compared to hearing you say it in a soft, sincere tone, on the verge of dreamland and eternally grateful. He knew you were. You were always so thankful for the simplest of things he did. He felt like an idiot: here he was getting covetous and you were just grateful he was helping you. His own feelings were the anomaly. He buffered. You had fallen asleep, the imperceptible sound of your breathing entered his ears. He turned his computer’s volume to the maximum and just sat there for a minute. Your breathing evened out, not at all like the way you breathed when you were awake. He watched the neckline of your shirt shift as you slept, the bare skin of your shoulder showing. He ached to kiss it. He’d been aching to be near you for so long that he was going insane. An invisible line held him back. Respect, guilt, insecurity, hell, just straight up cowardice; all of it held him back. He moved one of his large hands up, slowly reaching his fingers towards the screen. You looked relaxed when you slept, your brow was no longer clouded with worry and your facial muscles were completely slack. Ignoring the possibility of smudging fingerprints onto the display, Donnie gently brushed his fingers over your image. His breathing was shallow, afraid of making any noise that could cause you to stir as he stroked the screen. Fuck. He couldn’t tear his gaze away. Quietly, he went to leave the meeting. The black ‘this meeting has ended’ screen left him in a dimmer light than before, and he felt the loss of your presence along with it. He rubbed the hand that had been outstretched over his face.
“I love you, too.” Donnie whispered to the darkness of the lair.

The New York skyline burned a fiery orange that melted up into a blue ombre. The city was alive tonight, more so than usual, with the brimming excitement surrounding the parties being thrown across the city. Vern had invited the turtles along to a friend’s private party, claiming they needed to take a leaf out of his book and make ‘friends in higher places’; presumably he’d meant the very same friend who would be throwing the party when he’d invited them to come along. The turtles were to be in safe hands, the party consisted mainly of rich sponsors, select NYPD officers looking to move up in the world, all sorts of models and friends of friends and extravagant New Yorkers who made party-going their thing. Vern relayed that he’d been granted the opportunity to bring 50 people of his choosing, 4 of which the host had insisted needed to be the ‘heroes’ of NY. Leo had been incredibly skeptical, as had Raph, but with Mikey’s budding excitement at the prospect of actually being part of the party for once they’d all begrudgingly accepted. They’d need to get used to being at least a little in the spotlight. Even if Leo had decided they needed to keep mostly to the shadows, these kinds of things were still expected occasionally. Besides, Donnie was double and triple checking that all the guests had signed some form of paperwork that involved not publicising the turtle’s attendance. It was rigorous. You and April were extended invitations. You stressed about dresses. You loved and hated dressing up; the idea of getting all glammed up was fun, but in practice it was often the first of many stressors. Not to mention being around so many people while dressed up made you nervous. Being around so many people in general made you nervous. Since the two of you were heading to the party together, you went over to April’s to get ready. Makeup items were strewn across the bathroom counter of her apartment, April’s speaker blasted hype-music and after singing along and actually putting your dress on you felt far more confident about the evening. You took deep breaths in the car, smoothing over the bust of your dress. It was a little thing, flattering your body and glittering even in the dim lighting. You were a little wobbly in your elegant heels as you hadn’t had much practice walking in them, but you liked how the sparkly detailing matched your dress.
The venue was glamorous. It was an elevated club kind of building, with several floors and a few balconies that overlooked large grassy lawns. Lights littered the place (confusing the insects that used the moon as guidance) along with what appeared to be thousands of flowers spilling out from the bushes and wrapped around every pilar in sight. A cluster of tables filled the outdoor area and several smaller tables dotted the inside of the building. Caterers had set up in the junction between the indoor and outdoor area, boasting a wide range of food you knew full well you’d have never been able to afford with the money from your part time jobs. This was the real deal. The indoor area was a maze of glittering rooms, each with its own bar. The bartops were made of a sleek, polished white marble in the largest room, with pelmet lighting running under the counter and casting a soft diffused downwards glow on the barstools. The venue had lots of similar lighting features, with neon blues, purples and pinks casting colourful highlights on the guests. The now dark night sky contributed to the deep, club-like atmosphere of the place and you were suddenly glad your dress matched the vibe. Classy, but still very much a party dress. Bass thumped through the speakers into the night, setting a steady rhythm that matched the movements of the idle guests.
Donnie was way out of his element. He and his brothers were expected to make an appearance after accepting so he couldn’t have just bailed, but he was starting to regret accepting in the first place. His mind was on his work, far, far away from the sparkling outfits and glitz and glamour and bubbly alcohol. He had attempted to clean up some after seeing his brother’s outfit choices and realising his usual tech wear wouldn’t slide. The lot of them had got on his ass about making an effort. Mikey and Raph had gone the traditional 2000s route. Mikey was in an orange jersey shirt that he’d in one way or another donned under his shell; a couple chains glinted around his neck and he wore extremely baggy shorts that had his nunchaku stuffed in a pocket. Raph had found himself an equally baggy pair of jeans and been convinced by Mikey that jewellery was the way to go. The red turtle had somehow found a gold ring to fit around one of his thick fingers and wore one of Mikey’s spare chains, along with tying a red bandana around his bicep. Leo was more formal, with slightly threadbare suit slacks, a belt and a watch on his wrist. Donnie had rooted through his pile of sweats and cargos to find something viable and had finally settled on a decent-looking pair of pants, a black belt that sat lopsided and his usual purple forearm straps. He refused to be roped into the jewellery wearing, not wanting to relinquish his beloved watch. No way was he wearing Mikey’s old chain that advertised him as ‘M-dawg’ to the party. The purple turtle had been loitering around the entryway for some time now but decided to do a couple of rounds to get used to the place and shake off the nerves he was feeling.
Your first thought when you saw the venue was ‘holy shit’. Your second was also ‘holy shit’. The sheer number of guests overwhelmed you immediately. There were one or two familiar faces (April had introduced you to some of her colleagues before), but the majority were unrecognisable. You followed April like a lost puppy and let her do the talking while you assimilated. There are way too many people here. No way Donnie vetted every single one. You scanned the entryway for the turtles from your position in the far corner every so often. With no sign of any of them, you decided to split off from the brunette and head for the food vendors to take a look. Large platters were overflowing with food, your mouth watered the second the scent hit you. Pasta with a number of earthy toned sauces you couldn’t even begin to know the names of, little sandwiches cut into adorable triangles skewered through with toothpicks and surrounded by a charcuterie style assortment of grapes, cheeses and cold meats, tureens of fragrant soup with bread bowls positioned strategically around them, honey glazed chicken and some odd looking foods you didn’t recognise but knew involved overpriced caviar. Glossy picture-perfect strawberries on heaps of cake and cream, miniature eclairs flaked with gold leaf, round red glacé cherries, chocolate fondue. All sorts of other foods crowded the different tables and you eyed them all with fascination. You definitely needed a plate at some point. Yeah, no, I need a plate now. You went straight to the warmed porcelain plates stacked to the side of the buffet tables. The tiny little price tags beside each dish next to the cursive catering company name showed off how much the host had spent. Better them and not me! In your distraction you almost missed Mikey chowing down on a very full plate at a table in the corner. You refrained from laughing as you came over with your own plate.
“Angel, you seen your brothers anywhere?”
“Hm? Whaschujgm-min,” Mikey garbled with his mouth full, holding up one finger and swallowing before trying again. “I don’t know, I think I saw Leo by the bar. But you totally gotta try some of this, brah.” Mikey made a high-pitched contented noise. “Free food is the best.” You snorted. Mikey shoved one of the stuffed rolls onto your already full plate. The two of you inhaled the food and you managed seconds. It was so good you were considering splurging some of your own cash at some point, which Mikey advised you against and insisted all you needed to do was go to more parties for the free food. You bid Mikey goodbye after you felt considerably fuller. The lights glimmered hypnotically as you walked. Leo was still in fact by the bar, awkwardly conversing with one of the NYPD officers. You didn’t want to intrude and sidestepped past some glowing models to enter an adjacent room.

‘This conversation sucks. It really sucks,’ Donnie thought. He’d been roped into discourse with one of Vern’s connections who seemed to think themselves an innovator. Donnie had been subjected to 20 minutes of the man’s self-important rambling and he was beginning to lose it, his eyes were flicking over the room and its decor in a bored manner and the guy still hadn’t taken the hint. Politeness features in conversation stated he needed to find a way out of this without attacking the negative face of Mr-whateverhisnamewas, but he didn’t exactly feel like hedging his way out of the conversation. The man had bright green, brown and yellow stripes on his tie that clashed horribly and he kept adjusting it like he hadn’t yet figured out the right length to fit around his neck. Corporate jargon spewed from his lips between the attempts at explaining his company’s work on space probes. Donnie could tell the quack had no clue what he was talking about.
“-And I said, that’s a particle problem! Ahaha!” The man guffawed. Donnie’s waning patience caused his eye to twitch. He hadn’t even been listening to what he was on about, attributing it to the dude’s incredibly disproportionate ego and belief in his own academic superiority. He wanted to correct Mr. Self-important shmuck. Instead Donnie offered a sarcastic curl of his lip and went right back to looking around the room. Despite the dim atmospheric lighting his eyes caught onto a glimmer in the crowd; Donnie’s whole world slowed. Relief inundated his body. You were wandering around the opposite end of the room, an almost empty glass of something peachy pink in your hand and an absentminded smile on your lips as you passed the guests. You were doing a good job of keeping it together with the amount of people roaming about the venue and the drink you had was to ease the tension. Melting ice clinked against the glass in your hand. It swirled around as you moved. Donnie’s eyes were then drawn to your dress. You had a short dress on tonight. Your skin glistened a kind of bronzed colour in the lighting set off perfectly by the cerulean hue of your dress; it sparkled with each tiny little movement you made, throwing circular reflections on your skin from the tiny sequins. The manganese blue and pale azure sparkles catching the lighting glued Donnie’s gaze to you like a magnet. Your sleeve slipped off your shoulder, and in your movements Donnie caught the back- or rather- lack of a back your dress had. A thin strip of the material went over where the back of your bra would usually show, extra lines of glimmering pale gold connected it to the dress; it reminded Donnie of drop line cake icing. Fuck, was he salivating? The purple turtle swallowed. The detailing rested against your bare back and slid with your movements. Your heels sparkled the same light gold colour, casting white glints in the darker corners of the room. Donnie was hooked onto your presence, feeling reassured at the sight of you and cursing himself a thousand times for not trying to find you sooner. He reluctantly looked back to Mr. Receding hairline.
“Sorry, excuse me, but- I need to go.” Donnie hurriedly pushed past the guy. He payed no attention to the sputtering sound the self-appointed scientist was making, focusing all of his efforts on making his way through the crowed to you. You, who was shifting past a couple in order to slip into the next room and out of sight. You left your empty glass on a side table. Donnie hurried his footsteps. He narrowly avoided a waiter. All that was on his mind was getting to you.
You slid into the next room. Immediately the volume of the music increased. People milled around with one another. You looked up to see a thousand tiny lights illuminating the ceiling. They mimicked stars and you stared in wonder at them. How had the venue even achieved that effect? Some of the lights looked like they were hovering close to the ceiling and when you squinted you could just barely make out thin transparent wires connecting the floating dots of light to the ceiling fixtures. Optical fibres? Whatever they were, they sparkled from the high ceiling like suspended fireflies. You took slow steps, eyes fixed on the general splendour. Unbeknownst to you, Donnie was a few feet behind, trailing after you. He pushed past a couple more people, apologising hastily as he tried to get closer. You paused to check your phone and Donnie took the opportunity to catch up.
“Y/n!”
“Donnie! Hi. Where have you been?” You immediately shuffled closer to the tall turtle with relief plastered over your features. Donnie matched your movements, reciprocally drawing in close. He dropped his head so he could speak to you better over the sound of the music. The two of you formed your own little bubble. You looked up at him. His appearance was taken in very quickly and you wondered if his brothers had forced him to abandon the heavy tech gear and cargos he was partial to.
“I was talking to- never mind. You um-” Donnie raked his eyes over you again. You seemed to glow in the dim lighting and he suddenly found himself unable to say anything about your appearance. He rerouted.
“When did you get here?”
“I think 30 minutes ago? I lost April somewhere and I just ended up exploring. This place is so pretty! It’s a lot of people though, I’m glad I found you. Or you found me? Whichever. I’m just glad you’re here.” You were always glad to see him. You sounded nervous, clearly more put off by the crowd than you wanted to let on; your composure was sporadic. Donnie moved closer.
“I lost Leo by the bar.” Donnie looked up at the lighting, before pulling his gaze back to you. “I like the place, but it’s pretentious. Vern really knows ‘the right people’, huh.”
You smiled. “I’m working on a plan to steal the cutlery. I bet you if I sold one fork I could pay my rent three times over.”
Donnie chuckled. “We could test it out. Distraction theft could work. I’ll go ask where to find the bathroom and you can shove some spoons in your purse?” You laughed, free hand coming up to cover your stupid grin; Donnie’s eyes crinkled at the corners when you laughed. You moved closer to Donnie to avoid the group trying to pass by, still giggling. Donnie’s hand hovered by your lower back; he’d been about to touch it to keep you out of the path of the guests but had stopped himself before he could. His fingers brushed the little sequins of your dress. Pretty. So pretty. You felt his body heat close and looked down with an affectation of decorum as the guests passed. Donnie gestured to the bar where the crowd was sparser. You nodded. He kept close as you both navigated to the shiny black counter, and you squinted at the various amber bottled lined up against the backbar. Your smile had momentarily slipped, and you put it back on, continuing to speak. “I don’t think your diversion tactics would work, Don. You’d just make it super obvious, no offence.”
“Offence taken; how would I make it obvious?”
“Act it out real quick?”
“Okay…” Donnie tried to get into character. He turned his head away and then turned back when he was confident he wouldn’t laugh. “Excuse me, do you know where the bathrooms are? I’m lost.”
You burst into peals of laughter. Donnie looked at you with a very confused expression. “What? That was good, right? Screw you, I know that was good.” He tried to quell his amusement but failed miserably and his lips morphed into a smile.
You snickered, “You sounded like a kid. We’d get caught in 5 minutes, tops.”
“Well when you put it like that it sounds ridiculous.”
Your eyes were drawn to the bar once more and as you skimmed the menu a single word stood out. On the small chalkboard sign with drink prices and names written in various colours of chalk, the word ‘milkshake’ stuck out like a sore thumb. You perked up.
“Donnie, look!”
The tall turtle turned his head away from your face to cast his gaze on what had stolen your attention away. You drummed your fingers on the bartop in excitement.
“They’ve got milkshakes! We have to get one. Strawberry, right? I’ll get us one. Stay here. Don’t move. Where’d that guy go…”
Donnie watched helplessly as you tracked down the bartender. He hadn’t even had a chance to get a word in. God, you were cute. You knew what flavours he liked, too. It wasn’t revolutionary, you remembered little things like that, but at times like these it made Donnie feel like he mattered to you so much more than he did. Quit it. She’s just being considerate, Donnie, it’s not a fucking proposal. You returned after a couple minutes with a retro style milkshake in your hands. Whipped cream. Cherry on top. Scoop of ice cream. The works. You had a massive smile on your face and Donnie could practically see the cold pink glass reflected in your pupils. He must’ve been making a stupid face because you awkwardly smiled.
“It was way more expensive than I thought it’d be, so I could only get one. I got us two straws though. You don’t mind, right?” You batted your lashes at him unconsciously, holding up the two straws as evidence. He couldn’t protest.
“Yeah, that’s um- fine.” He swallowed and took the straw you handed him. You took the first sip, squealing immediately as the fruity taste hit your tongue. You garbled something about it tasting good and took another long sip, lips pursed with the effort of trying to swallow down half the glass in one go. Donnie laughed, inserting his own straw and taking a sip once you’d moved back. “Mmh. The flavouring isn’t artificial, it’s actually,” he paused to take another sip, “really good.” You beamed at him in agreement. You alternated leaning in to take sips from your respective straws, talking about how the place sustained the flowers on long nights like these, the logistics of wheeling in the massive marble slabs that made up the bar counters in each room and how Donnie was doing with his robotics project. He was focused on creating a mini mechanic that could build, fix and maintain his other projects. He got so lost in his excited rambling that he forgot to keep his distance. His legs were intertwined with yours while you faced one another on the barstools. His hand brushed against your own where he set it down on the counter between his gesticulating. His sentences were punctuated with ‘omigosh’s and before he knew it his throat was getting dry, and he leaned down to take a sip of the pink shake at the same time you did. Your faces were impossibly close. Shit. He faltered and almost choked, his heart stuttered and certainly not because of the amount of sugar he was consuming. You scrunched your nose, pulling away from your straw to giggle. Donnie coughed once.
“Shit, I’m sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.” Wow. Great going, Donnie. Now you’ve just weirded her out.
You laughed, though he could tell from the way you looked down and focused hard on wiping the cream off your lip that you had been taken off guard by how close your faces had got. Were you uncomfortable? He fixed his gaze anxiously on you, trying hard to ascertain your feelings, but he couldn’t figure you out; the face you’d made was confusing and all he could conclude was you disliked being so close to him. He went to detangle his legs from yours, keeping his head down. You sighed.
“Y/n!” April’s voice cut through the crowd. She clacked over in her heels, holding two glasses of some gold bubbly liquid. She was smiling. Donnie was thankful for her merciful interruption.
“Donnie, you’re here too.” She took a second to glance between the two of you and quickly hit you a raised eyebrow that Donnie missed. The atmosphere in your little corner was as tense as a stretched spring. Full of potential energy. You raised a brow right back at her and the glasses she was holding. She was too tipsy to press further and smiled. “You’re coming with me, ‘kay? Donnie doesn’t mind, right buddy?” Donnie wanted to protest. He wanted to shake his head or grab onto you and keep you there next to him, but that was childish, and he was above that. You went to stand, throwing Donnie an apologetic look. “I’ll be right back.”
April tugged on your arm and squeezed it. She’d clearly had one too many drinks. You looked reluctant to leave Donnie like this, the unresolved air between the two of you lingered and wrapped around you. He wasn’t ready to end the conversation. No matter how awkward it had been, he’d liked having you to himself. Find a reason. Any reason. Say something. Ask her for a dance later! A sense of urgency filled the tall turtle as you began to turn away and he found himself reaching out; before he could prevent it Donnie was grabbing your hand in his larger one.
“Wait. I-”
You looked at him. He looked flustered. You took a step closer again, not removing your hand from his. The look on your face was almost hopeful, albeit confused, and Donnie couldn’t speak.
“Be uhhh- careful. Lots of people ’n stuff,” he said weakly. Any hopes you had fell, and you just gave him a gentle, understanding smile and a nod before slipping away with an impatient April into the throng.

The guy April had introduced you to 15 minutes ago was nice, even if you weren’t interested. He reminded you a little of Donnie. He was tall, had blue rimmed glasses and a shy smile that kept you from leaving. You tried to enjoy the conversation. At the very least the man had a personality and wasn’t just clinging to small talk, even if he was shy. Your mind was elsewhere. Donnie had looked like he wanted to say something earlier. What was it? The thought nagged at you incessantly and you took another sip of the soapy alcohol in your hand. It made you feel even worse, so you slowly put it down and tried to focus on the man in front of you. The mawkish remnants in your mouth made you grimace. God this was gross. Everything about this felt gross. The part of the night where everything started to feel sticky and overwhelming had arrived and having to socialise wasn’t doing you any good. You wished you were back with Donnie and the milkshake. No, you reminded yourself, none of that matters. Focus. The guy was ducking his gaze and smiling.
“I thought they’d never make a movie adaptation of booster gold, let alone on the OMAC project. I guess the whole ‘hero comes back for one more job’ trope is pretty popular!”
You forced a pleasant smile. “I wonder if they’ll leave it inconclusive or move onto the whole blue beetle thing. I feel like it’ll probably just have an uplifting tone at the end or something. Most superhero movies do these days.”
The man nodded enthusiastically in response. You fidgeted with the hem of your dress just to have something to do with your hands. Suddenly, the guy blurted, “would you want to go dance with me?”
You lifted your head, surprised. Where did that come from? “Oh! Yeah…sure, I’d be down to.” A slow smile formed on your face and you nodded your head. What was the harm in one dance? This man was sweet in a way, and you needed to take your mind off things. Your thoughts had been straying in dangerous directions; places you’d never allowed yourself to go too far down for fear of screwing things up. You needed to stop thinking about Donnie.
You felt slightly guilty for not remembering the name of the man in front of you, but you took his hand nonetheless and let yourself be guided into the crowd. The lighting was dimmer there, full of flecks of muted yellows and blues and pinks that dappled over the moving bodies. The man in front of you pulled you closer. His hands were warm. Soft. They trembled in yours and you reflexively squeezed them. He squeezed back and slipped his hands nervously to your waist.
“Is this a good time to say I can’t really dance? I just wanted to… be uh… near you.”
You chuckled in spite of yourself. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. A familiar hum melted through the speakers as a new song started up. The guy’s hand brushed your bare lower back.
I don’t wanna be alone tonight
Your eyes widened slightly. A soft bitterness sparked in your stomach and you exhaled. Just your luck. Even the music refused to help you forget. You shut your eyes and focused on the bittersweet feeling of having someone close.
It’s pretty clear that I’m not over you… I’m still thinkin’ bout the things you do
You let the man swivel you around. The steady rhythm filled you up and you lost yourself to the atmosphere.
▹▹▹
Donnie felt nauseous. He’d finished off the milkshake alone. Your straw leaned idly against the edge of the cold glass, abandoned and making the scene even more depressing. He checked his watch again. 17 minutes. You’d disappeared with April 17 minutes ago. You had said you’d be ‘right back.’ How long did ‘right back’ constitute? Certainly not this long. He didn’t want to intrude on whatever you had going on, but there was something propelling him out of his seat. He was being selfish again, the cold stab of possessiveness branching through his veins and pushing him to find you; he couldn’t stand sitting there by himself. People had started to stare; he was used to the staring, being 6’8” and a mutant turtle, but their piercing eyes seemed to be drawn to the fact that he was alone and didn’t look like he’d be joined by anyone any time soon. He needed to find you. His heavy footsteps through the crowd became more hurried with each step. There was the sinking feeling that he was too late, that he should’ve said something earlier instead of chickening out and leaving his needs and desires unspoken. He cursed himself. Thud.
“Donnie? Ay, ay, what’s got you haulin’ ass?”
“Raph- Hey, I have somewhere to be, I’ll talk later- later.”
Raph’s brow furrowed as Donnie shoved past. The purple turtle had distraction all over his face and Raph wasn’t used to seeing his brother so frenetic other than when his work got serious and he locked himself in his lab for days.
“…Huh.”
Please be there, please be there, please be there. Donnie slid into the crowd of moving bodies. Music filled his ears. His eyes latched onto you in seconds; they instinctively searched for you in every room and every crowd. His eyes adjusted to the lighting and he stepped out of the way of an exiting trio. He was about to make his way over, disregarding the fact that this was a dance floor and he was butting in when he had no intentions as of right now to dance, when he noticed the man in front of you. Donnie’s whole world went cold.
Look what you made me do, I’m with somebody new, ooh, baby, baby I’m dancin’ with a stranger.
You had a small smile on your face as the brown-haired man in front of twirled you around and moved his hands over your waist. Your shoulders moved to the music and your hips circled. Donnie’s hand flexed. His mouth felt dry and his gut felt empty. It felt like someone was squeezing the muscles of his throat until his windpipe collapsed and he lost the ability to breathe. He assessed your body language in vain and found only politeness in it. You were clearly fine with dancing. But you remained poised. Donnie clung to the knowledge that you never acted so formal around him, but the dull throbbing in his heart began to overtake any bitterness he was feeling.
Dancing with a stranger.
You dropped your gaze from the guy to look down at his hands on your waist. The sight felt wrong. Flecks of diffused orange light caressed your skin and sparkled off your dress. The melody cascaded over your bodies, flowing through your shoulders and moving you in tandem with the man before you, and yet it felt unnatural as anything. You found yourself wishing for a minute it was Donnie in front of you with his hands on your waist, tridactyl fingers caressing your back and head tipped down to focus all his attention on you; god did you almost feel like you could be dancing with him every time you shut your eyes. The man smiled down at you. You tried convincing yourself you could be okay with this; dancing with this man you knew little about, forgetting Donnie and replacing his image in your head with thin blue rimmed glasses and messy brown hair. The guy leaned down to put his face close to yours and you kept your head down, feigning shyness in lieu of giving away your distaste. Donnie looked away. He left the room silently, foregoing plodding back to the little bar the two of you had been sitting at, blindly pushing past a blur of faces until he found a secluded balcony. He had no one to blame for the melancholy he was feeling but himself.
It had taken you another eight minutes to wrench yourself out of conversation and away from the dance floor. You downed one of the shots left on a half full tray, wincing at the nasty taste and using it to tear your mind away from everything. A warm burning sensation courtesy of the alcohol did nothing to remove the stubborn lump in your throat. You really should’ve just stayed with Donnie. The longer that man kept you there the more grossed out you’d felt, and the persistence that seemed to have taken him over after dancing with you threw you off completely. He really had wanted to be ‘close’ to you. You felt your head spin. Thud.
“Seriously, is everyone gonna keep bumping into me, or- y/n.”
“Raph.” You cleared your throat. “Sorry.”
“Yeah, it’s whatever. I guess I gotta keep out the doorways, huh. You seen Mikey?”
“No. He might still be downstairs. Did you…” “Donnie?” You nodded. “I saw him walkin’ through here earlier, but ain’t seen him since.” You sighed.
“Thanks.”
Raph eyed you. You had the same sort of look on your face that Donnie had earlier, and he didn’t like the wateriness in your eyes. He’d never seen you seriously cry; you were tough and he knew it. Crying wasn’t your forte, sure you’d let slip a tear or two on group movie nights down in the lair, but this looked different. Were you drunk? Seeing what looked akin to intoxication set him on edge. “You aight?”
“Mhm. A-okay.” Raph noted you looked like you were looking through him rather than at him. He sighed and patted your shoulder.
“You should get some water ’n get home soon. Ain’t lookin’ too hot.”
You offered him a small nod, before slipping further into the crowd. Raph was left to wonder what exactly was up with you and Donnie. He needed a drink.
The cool respite of the open balcony called to you. No one lingered around it, all of the guests and officials mingled among one another in the larger rooms of the building. The breeze curled through the wispy pale blue curtains and beckoned you close. You didn’t notice the tall figure leaning against the metal balcony railing until you got closer. The familiar sight of the turtle you were looking for met you. His eyes were red, though you couldn’t notice through the dark filter the night overlayed and your own distraction. His eyes flickered over to you. They widened. He didn’t know whether to act normal or not. He didn’t feel normal. No, he felt petty and heartbroken and stupid. Again he had to remind himself he was making a mountain out of a molehill. You were free to dance with whoever you liked. It wasn’t like he’d had the courage to ask you, anyway. ‘What’s Hecuba to him, or he to Hecuba, that he should weep for her?’ Even Shakespeare couldn’t save you now, Donnie. Thankfully his thoughts were shut down by you speaking first.
“Donnie! There you are. I’m sorry I left you for so long. April wanted to show me a painting and then introduced me to some friends and I couldn’t leave.” You took some steps closer, leaning on the rail beside him. You blinked. The lump in your throat had somehow only grown bigger with Donnie there next to you.
“It’s fine, I promise. Did you have fun?” Somehow, his question made the nausea you felt worse. You tried to nod, but couldn’t. A tear spilled over when you blinked and you hurriedly thumbed it away. Donnie’s eyes widened. Guilt flushed through him, and he felt even more of an idiot for letting the tone of bitterness slip through his question when you clearly weren’t feeling well. Eyes red. Unfocused. Wobbled when she came over; there’s an 80% variable that there’s a 73% chance that it’s the shoes, but she did have a drink earlier and April probably pawned off that other drink she had. Be sensitive.
He fumbled. “Hey, what- happened? Are-are you hurt?” He gave you a once-over and you shook your head quickly. Your voice sounded small. “No, ‘m fine. I’m okay.” You fanned your face with a hand and blew out cold air. “I think I wanna go home.” Donnie nodded.
“I get it. I can drop you off, if you need me to. I feel like I’ve been here long enough.”
You swallowed.
“No, it’s okay. Leo would be pissed at you.” Your heart thumped dismally in your chest. Donnie stared. Out here in the cold night air it felt as though the two of you were in a different world. Your eyelids fluttered and the soft breeze stroked your face with its chilly hand. A respite. You turned to face Donnie. He was already looking at you. His glasses magnified his eyes a little and made it that much more noticeable when he blinked. It was endearing. He still looked worried, keeping a watchful gaze on you as though searching for any more imminent tears; he didn’t know how to handle tears, let alone yours. Rather, he didn’t know how to handle your tears without revealing his feelings. Everything in him yelled to pull you into a hug, or hold your hand, or anything that would take that dejected look off your face and show you how you could rely on him. It was foolish. He was already in a state of his own. Neither of you spoke a word, coexisting in the serene silence with your eyes on each other.

Thirteen goddamn missions. How many more would you have to go through ‘till Karai was behind bars? They spanned over a month. Your university had upped your workload in the same month, and the stress you were under was immense. Leo had oh-so graciously allowed you to miss the other 5 missions they’d planned out when your deadlines came up and you couldn’t spare any time to run around the city. He was being lenient. Real lenient. You groaned into your mattress. Your body ached from the nights of running and hiding and infiltrating and scouting and decoy-ing. You were so sick of it. Ugly washed out bruises littered your knees and shins from who knew when; your body was tense and you could barely set one foot in your lectures without falling asleep. One of your lovely acquaintances had taken to silently taking your notes for you and sending them over after the lecture. Guilt rested on your shoulders. The fact that you felt more for Donnie than you wanted to admit had started to chew slowly at you, ever since the night of the party there had been a looming sense of loss in your heart. Entertaining the idea of someone else had only aggressively confirmed you couldn’t stand thinking of anyone in that way but your purple turtle. Your feelings stuck fast, insurmountable and unforgettable. There was no way to push them aside and move on the way you were so proud of being able to do with everything else. Fuck love. You were tired.
“Yo. Fellas, let’s go, let’s go.” Leo marched through the lair, banging his katanas together and sending resounding crashes bouncing off the walls of the lair. Raph reluctantly peeled himself from the couch where he’d been trying to catch some shut eye. Mikey jerked awake, falling off the tipped-back chair he’d fallen asleep at; the bag of peanuts on his lap fell to the floor along with the comic book he’d left open over his eyes. Leo had become progressively more uptight with the pressure he was under these days. Raph shot Leo an irritated look and adjusted his mask, retying it so it would be secure and suppressing a snort at Mikey’s fumbling. Donnie winced at the racket his older brother was making. He yawned and lifted his head off his desk. Drool formed a pool on his schematics. He patted around for his glasses. Ugh. What time is it? Donnie brushed stray wrappers off his desk and finally grabbed his thick framed glasses, thumbing to press down the lifted corner flap of tape that bound the bridge of his glasses together.
Getting out of the lair and across the city was a blur. Donnie did some tricks across the rooftops to wake himself up when they got out of the truck. His sleep schedule was thoroughly fucked. He hadn’t slept much at all since the night of the party; his mind was clouded with images of you in the arms of someone else, someone better, someone normal, someone human. It was ridiculous. He wasn’t the most insecure, but with time it had crept in and wormed itself into muscle and tissue like some kind of parasite and refused to leave. You acted the same way with him as always. It was just him. He was sucked back into feeling stupid for all the one-sided emotions constantly flowing through his mind; you were less than aware of the turmoil he was going through and one look at your sweet face every time he saw you only increased his resolve not to slip a peep on his state. Donnie focused on the missions, refining the tech for his robots, and helping you with your work. He threw himself into it with the abandon of a man with nothing to lose. Except, he was losing both sleep and his sanity. And probably his body’s ability to process caffeine.
“Mikey, throw me the rope.”
“Gotchu, brah. Go long!”
Leo jumped up to catch the coil of rope before it could go over the side of the building, shooting Mikey a look that the orange slider very blatantly ignored.
Donnie squinted at his watch. No messages from you. He knew you’d be there tonight; this was one of the missions you couldn’t miss. The amount of grief his older brother had given you for missing the one before was no doubt a factor in your acceptance this time. Donnie swiped at the pale blue hologram to open up the text thread from the previous night.
Don🔬: Good job tonight. I can check your citations tomorrow but be proud of the work you’ve done!
Donnie cringed when he reread the message. Wasn’t that too impersonal? He sounded like an old man.
You: You’re a lifesaver Don, but I don’t wanna overwork you
You: Get some sleep big guy
Don🔬: Will do, see you tomorrow
Today, 23:20
Don🔬: We’re on top of the TCRI building, no sign of the foot yet
The purple turtle stared long and hard at the embarrassingly short text thread. He had a strong urge to delete the latest message, but that would be even more embarrassing than the text itself. You were in on this one. There had been absolutely no reason to text you, and yet he had. It wasn’t like you’d be actively checking your phone. You knew the plan. Baxter Stockman was back and working for the foot clan. TCRI and its projects had been handed off to the authority of another qualified scientist when Baxter Stockman had supposedly gone ‘missing’ after Shredder’s own disappearance. However, if Baxter was back, he’d need to get hold of his research. The best way to go about it was break back into his old workplace and steal anything he deemed a requirement for their new plan of action. Krang was still a threat, especially if the fool managed to take back his research and create a new portal opening out of spite. That’s what the foot clan were. Spiteful. Donnie ran a hand over his face and clicked off the hologram. His frustration curdled back into the ugly dredges of doubt and all he could do to keep his mind busy and focused on something other than how much he desperately wanted your attention was run through the mission plan again.
You were in the building. The unrestricted floor clearance tag you’d been given by the company for tonight was clutched in your hand and you thumbed the corner of the laminated card as you walked. You wondered if they’d let you keep it, or if you could get away with slipping it to Donnie by the end of the night. If the tech-savvy turtle really wanted to he could bypass any and all security measures, but you still wanted the satisfaction of being able to give him something useful. You inwardly groaned. Here you were, wandering the halls with one of the higher up scientists, waiting for the foot clan to burst through the doors at any second and you were busy thinking about Donnie. That seemed to be a common theme on these missions. You frowned and recited the plan. You were the boys’ eyes on the inside for tonight; the NYPD was only involved to the extent they could be without making it obvious to the foot that they were prepared for any infiltration, and had arranged for your placement in the building as a human alert button. You also suspected they wanted some extra information on what exactly TCRI were up to these days. You could do that. The people who worked late in the building were only aware that you were there to ‘help evacuate’ and needed complete clearance to be able to do so, not that you had a personal agenda to snoop.
“And this here is our modelling department. They work on theoretical models of the collider you saw at sub level 3, the basic functions of potential alternate dimensions, and scaling of our other general projects. We don’t have many people working late in here, apart from-”
“Sir!”
The older man next to you who’d been touring you around the facility sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose in a way that reminded you of the habit Leo and Splinter had. You smiled. The guy who waved was fresh faced and energetic, you could tell he was probably new from the way he looked so enthusiastic so late at night. The older man next to you gestured with raised brows. “As I was saying, apart from Mr. Walker there, no one else works late in this department.” You tried not to laugh. That made your job easier. If there weren’t many people on these floors, you wouldn’t have to worry about casualties…

Donnie dropped down to crouch to the cold floor of the laboratory as the foot soldier swung an electrically charged pole at him. He grunted and swivelled so he knocked the soldier’s legs out, and as the foot member scrambled for purchase they sent a tray of beakers and pipettes crashing to the floor and leaking orange and blue liquid out onto the surface. “Look what you’ve done now! Contamination is a serious- issue-” Donnie felt a sharp prick in his calf and instinctively went to rip the cables off before he got electrocuted. The sound of his brothers fighting around him filled his ears. The alarm system blared over the sound of the chaos and Donnie heard the sound of a glass door breaking. He looked over to see Raph smashing through the hail of glass shards. Bullets sprayed and Donnie ducked down behind a metal desk, cursing under his breath at the absurdity of the mission.
“Donnie!” Leo yelled over the gunfire, “Where’s Stockman?”
Donnie stammered as he got back up and kicked a gun out of a man’s hands. “He uh- he should be held up two floors down. You guys gotta hurry up.”
“I’m workin’ on it.”
“Bogey on your 6,” Donnie ran up and thwacked the foot member who emerged out of nowhere with his bo. Leo clapped his brother on the shoulder.
“Good looking out, Donnie. Mikey, Raph, on me.”
You were lost, trapped in a maze of identical rooms that all connected to one another, full of sleek, shiny tech that you weren’t acquainted with. 2 foot clan initiates circled you like sharks. They had chased you through the laboratories; the unconscious body of the cheery Mr. Walker had been in one of the rooms you ran through. Naive. You had been so goddamn naive. You grit your teeth in irritation at the foot soldiers who stood ready to disarm you. Baxter Stockman jogged past the door. Your eyes widened. No wonder they’d wanted to corner you! This was all to clear an unobstructed path. You disregarded the soldiers and made a run for the exit; no way could you let that bumbling idiot reach the instruments and research he needed to recreate the Krang invasion, not now. A foot soldier kicked your knee in the second you tried for the exit and you groaned. Fuck, that hurt. You feigned being winded, doubled over in a show of pain greater than what you actually felt. According to Donnie’s scan of their gear, foot soldiers had concealed knives. Righttt there! You grabbed the handle sticking out by the initiate’s ankle, lifting and pulling it up out of its sheath; you stuck it in the back of the man’s knee and turned around to disable the other one before they had the opportunity to electrocute you. They collapsed at the exact moment a bang and hiss rang in your eardrums. Your blade clattered to the floor. White clouds of steam burst through the room’s vents. The clear sliding doors slammed shut and you coughed, panicked, whipping around to search for the culprit. A blur of black and red was barely visible through the smoke clouding through the room, the boiling steam suffocated you and you felt your clothes dampen and the familiar feeling of nausea. That wasn’t just water through those pipe vents. Karai’s voice rang singsong through the sealed doors.
“Poor thing. You can’t escape. Perhaps, if you had been more useful we could’ve spared you. Your apartment gave us all the information we needed.”
You gasped, avoiding the burning steam and picking up one of the tools atop the desk in a vain attempt to crack the glass. It was no use. You were going to pass out before you could crack it. Karai receded and disappeared after Stockman and you cursed, kicking the door in frustration and swivelling around, searching for any alternate exit points or anything else you could use to get out. it didn’t look promising. The boiling heat made your skin blotchy with condensation. You went for your comms.
“Leo? Donnie? Karai and Baxter are in lab,” you gasped, “7. Hurry.”
Donnie looked over at Leo in alarm at the sound of your voice.
“Leo?”
“We’ll get Karai and stop Baxter. Go find her.”
Donnie split off and his brothers ran to the lab you identified while Donnie booked it to where you had last been.
You were kneeling on the floor. Any oxygen you could suck into your lungs was inhaled with desperation. You swam in a haze, surrounded by pure white and coughing at the chemical taste filling your mouth and swamping your other senses. You folded over on your knees, pressing your cheek to the floor and wheezing. You wanted Donnie. You were terrified that these would be your last moments. Suffocation was one of the worst ways to go. You. Wanted. Donnie. You never got to ask him to go for a drive with you. You never got to tell him you regretted not staying with him at that stupid party. God that had been such a waste of your time. You choked at the sudden lump in your throat. You never got to tell him you love him. Tears pricked your eyes and you shuddered, clawing at the ground to attempt to push yourself back up and to those sealed doors.
Donnie entered the lab area, eyes wide and panting. White steam clouded the glass panels and he could only make out the silhouette of a downed foot soldier behind the glass.
“Shit! Doors, doors, doors… c’mon Donnie… no pressure, no pressure, it’s not like she could be dead in there.”
He frantically looked for the override to the sealed-off section of the laboratory. “Fuck!” Donnie swore loudly, punching in the buttons on the designated control panel hard and getting more and more urgent when it refused to work. He held his staff to the panel and with a ‘bzzt’ the wires shorted and the doors opened. Steam emerged in swathes. Donnie held his breath, squinting through the burning hot clouds and falling to his knees next to your small figure on the floor.
“Hey, y/n? Can you hear me? God, please be okay. Come here, I got you. I’ve got you sweetheart. Oh my god, oh my god, I’ll never let you go again.”
Donnie mumbled words that probably soothed him more than it did you. He cradled you in his big arms, exiting the contaminated area and finding a safe spot to crouch down.
You thought you were dreaming. Cool, clean, crisp air flooded your lungs and you gasped at the feeling of Donnie’s hands checking your pulse through your temple. The sound of his voice reached you through a silencer, gurgled and wobbly like you were underwater. Time moved slowly. Your ears popped and without warning every sound suddenly had sharp clarity to it; time sped up and you were thrust back into the present. Donnie’s voice brought you back. You pushed up with surprising speed and wrapped your arms around him the second you could move. “Donnie!” you cried.
He held you close, pressing his face into the crook of your neck and squeezing you so tight you thought you’d burst. “I’m here. I’m right here.” He didn’t give a shit about the wetness of your skin or the way you constricted his windpipe, all he cared about was that you were breathing. He pulled away enough to give you a once over. His hands held your shoulders. “Let me check your pupils. Can you breathe okay? A-are you experiencing any intense nausea? Does your skin feel itchy? What happened?”
You shook your head, grasping at him with a wobbly lower lip. He shut himself up and pulled you back in.
“Don’t go anywhere, please. Please, Don.” You whispered into his neck, feeling hot tears roll down your face. Donnie leaned back against the wall, resting your wet, exhausted form against his plastron and pressing his face to the top of your head with a great, shuddering sigh. His adrenaline ebbed away incrementally and he rubbed your back.
“I won’t,” he whispered back, “I promise.”
Even now, as he held you and you matched your breaths to his, he couldn’t get out the words he so desperately wanted to say. I’ll keep you safe. I was so worried. I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened to you. I love you.
Mikey had been the one to detain Stockman, and the guy was tied up and being subjected to Mikey flicking his face; the orange turtle was having boatloads of fun prodding at the scientist and making a mockery of him. Leo had finally caught Karai. The leader in blue gave her a serious but very subtly smug look. He was triumphant. Karai bowed her head in defeat. Raph was just relieved they’d managed to catch Karai. He couldn’t have dealt with any more of Leo’s griping. He sat on the edge of a table as the police department were radioed and a chopper arrived at the TCRI building.
Donnie refused to put you down. Maybe it was because you looked pitiful trying to walk. Your head lolled into his chest, you sniffled every few seconds and coughed when your windpipe refused to cooperate. If you had been in a more coherent state, you might’ve noticed just how easy it was for the tall turtle to carry you. How his arms flexed when he hoisted you up and the way he removed one arm for just a minute to wipe your face. He was so strong. It was easy to forget just how strong he was. Donnie let Leo drive the truck on the way back to the lair. He sat in the back with you leaning on his shoulder, arm around his thick bicep as you slipped in and out of sleep.
“Are we going home?” You murmured into Donnie’s arm with your eyes closed, and the purple turtle rested his big, three-fingered hand on top of yours.
“We’re going back to the lair. I need to check your condition and run a couple tests, but we could stop by yours. Did you need something from your apartment?”
You opened your eyes at his words, recalling your interaction earlier. “I can’t go back there, Karai said- she said- I think they broke in. Maybe. I don’t know when.”
Donnie’s face contorted into one of worry and he absentmindedly rubbed his thumb over the back of yours. “If that’s true it might not be safe for you to go back there. That might be how they avoided getting caught in the first place…” Donnie’s tongue darted out to wet his lips. “I’ll call April and ask her if you can stay at hers, but for now you’re staying with us. Is that okay?”
You nodded and shut your eyes again. You leaned against his shoulder and sighed, burying deeper into his side when the truck bumped over a pothole. Donnie picked at the hair tie on your wrist. He looked at you, then at the way you had your arm hooked under his and then back down to the hair tie. He slid a finger under it, shimmying his index along your inner wrist until he could fit his second finger in. The hair band slid until it bound Donnie’s wrist to yours, and the slider intertwined your fingers and squeezed your hand. He hoped it would say what he couldn’t. He wanted to be stuck to you.
▹▹▹
“We’re doing this again, huh.” You groaned as you sat on the sink counter and let Donnie peel off the damp clothes that stuck to your skin. He’d taken a look at you and concluded you’d be fine after you hacked out the toxic substances, drank a load of water, consumed a wide assortment of medicine and got a hell of a lot of sleep. He tried not to smile down at you.
“You know the probability of this happening this many times should be really low. You’re an outlier,” he teased as he rolled off your shirt. You hummed tiredly when you put your arms back down.
“Maybe.” You got distracted by the soft purple of Donnie’s bandana ties resting on his plastron and reached up to rub the material between your thumb and forefinger. Donnie had his head down, watching you. “Donnie?”
He blinked. “Yeah?”
You looked up at him. His eyes widened a little and flickered off to the floor, to the wall; anywhere that wasn’t your face, but his gaze kept coming back to you. You opened your mouth. You closed it. Then you shook your head. “Thank you for being there.”
Donnie just looked at your small smile and took in a short breath as if to speak, to acknowledge the atmosphere in the little bathroom between you. He resorted to patting your elbow.
“Always.” His voice cracked. He cleared his throat. “O-kay, shower time. I’m waiting right outside so yell if you need anything. And I mean anything, don’t ignore dizziness or blurry vision or any other symptoms. You wouldn’t believe the number of annual deaths from people falling over in the shower, it’s nuts.”
Your shower was long and miserable. You stumbled out halfway to purge the chemicals from your body into the toilet bowl and lay flat on the floor with your legs kicked up on the wall, wet and shuddering as you felt your circulation return to your head and the spasming of your facial muscles finally cease. Getting back in the shower had almost been worse. You finally emerged, woozy from the heat. The old shirt you wore as you sat on Donnie’s bed after your shower smelled like tea. Your skin was hot. The phantom feeling of Donnie’s hand in yours lingered; the purple turtle was bustling around the lair to collect a cold glass of water, some hard candy for you to suck on to get rid of the nasty taste in your mouth, and the rickety fan Mikey had commandeered and left next to the couch. At long last Donnie collapsed onto the bed next to where you sat, face smushed to his bedding with his glasses lopsided. You stared at the way his arms gathered one of his pillows to his face and how he exhaled hot air; the lenses of his glasses fogged up. You swallowed. Did he need to be this hot? Donnie pushed himself back up enough to look at you through his cloudy glasses and nervously licked his lips.
“You don’t mind if I’m here, do you? I can move if you want the bed to yourself… Actually, I think I’ll move, I- I don’t wanna crowd you.” Donnie’s voice petered off when you shook your head. Wordlessly, you reached out to take his glasses off and took your time folding down the temples and setting the pair aside. Donnie held his breath. You scooted down to lie flat on the mattress. The tips of your fingers brushed his forearm as you made a grabbing motion, and he lowered himself back down. Donnie’s heart was beating a mile a minute.
“Stay with me. You promised.”
Donnie had never folded faster in his life. He was just glad he was already lying down or his knees might’ve given out and he might’ve given himself away. Holy fuck. Holy fuck. Holy fuck. His vision was blurrier without his glasses, but he reached towards you nonetheless and chastely held your hand. You squeezed his. He grounded you, you felt your muscles loosen and your mind shut off at last. “I won’t go anywhere,” He murmured. He pulled your hand closer, resting your joined hands by his face. You could feel his breaths hitting your knuckles. The two of you fell into slumber without another word, leaving the silence laden with a thousand unspoken words to tarry a little longer.
▹▹▹
You woke to the warmth of Donnie’s arms around you. Long, soft breaths skimmed your hair. It was comfortable in his arms, more comfortable than you’d been in a long time and you couldn’t bring yourself to move. You experimentally shifted your elbow. You didn’t think you could move, actually. Donnie’s grip was firm and impossible to wriggle free of. He had a thick leg between yours, his arms squished you to his plastron and he cuddled into you like he couldn’t bear to let you go. He was heavy. You groggily took the opportunity to nuzzle your face into the hollow of his neck. You wished this was what every night was like. A steady thump conducted through his chest to yours and you found yourself wondering if his heart ever sounded different, if his heartbeat had ever sped up or skipped a beat for the sake of love. This was painful; lying here next to him, held reverently in his arms and yet not knowing whether he felt the same way about you as you did him. You huffed against his neck and breathed in the scent of skin and grass and espresso and screwed your eyes shut tight in an effort to memorise this moment. A low grumble notified you that Donnie had woken up. You stayed very still, fearful he’d caught you in the act of breathing him in. A vibration ran from Donnie’s body to yours. He churred. You felt him nuzzle his face into the top of your head, no doubt still half asleep and probably assuming you were one of his pillows. You let it happen.
“…y/n?”
His voice. Lord, his voice. You nodded into his collarbone. “Mhm.”
Donnie’s muscles tensed and he gently pulled away from you, detaching his arms gingerly like he was scared you had been lying awake and uncomfortable for some time now. You tried not to let the disappointment show on your face at the sudden lightness where before his body had been flush with yours. He reached for his glasses. Donnie didn’t dare move his leg from between yours, feeling like removing it too would be more awkward than leaving it where it was. You spoke before he could. “Did I wake you?”
Donnie shook his head as he slipped his glasses on. “No.” The silence stretched until the two of you broke eye contact and simultaneously fell into quiet giggles. You reached for his hand and he held yours; the corners of his eyes crinkled as he stared in wonder at you next to him in his bed. Donnie took a deep breath and focused on the way you held his hand to glean some courage.
“I have to say,” he swallowed, “you look nice when you’re sleepy.” He blanched. “Not in a weird way. I guess I noticed when you fell asleep the time I taught you cointegration.”
“You watched me sleep?” You squeaked, eyes wide.
“No. Not exactly… Sort of.”
You let slip a tiny, surprised laugh. Donnie looked mortified. Your heart thumped louder in your chest. “I had the same thought when we were in the truck together. That time I was posted by Red hook and you came to get me. You look nice when you drive. Super- um- focused?” You sighed and thumbed the soft scaly outlines along his knuckles. “I wanted to go for a drive with you again.”
Donnie’s eyes were wide. He was struggling to breathe. You hadn’t freaked out at his weird admittance- you’d been looking at him, too. You clearly expressed you liked his face. His expression, same thing, whatever. You wanted to be alone with him. Shoot. Was he smiling? He hoped he wasn’t smiling. He probably looked a fool. Hope burst behind his ribs. The dam that had been blocking his ability to translate his thoughts to words broke, and months’ worth of confessions at last spilled out in a wave. “I wanted to ask you to dance at the party, but I chickened out at the last minute and I’ve been regretting it the past month. And I wanted to tell you, you looked beautiful. I actually went after you to tell you but then I saw you with some-” Donnie scrunched his nose and struggled “-guy and I thought maybe it was better not to say anything. Which was stupid. I was so insanely stupid. And I have been stupid.” Donnie’s eyes found yours and his gaze intensified. His voice dropped to a murmur, quiet and intimate like he was scared to let you hear it but couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“I love you. I want to be with you.” Donnie’s brows were knitted together in a needy expression as his hand trembled in yours. “I want to take care of you. I don’t deserve any of your attention and I’ve been trying not to want it, I swear I have, but I can’t help it. I love you.”
Your breath hitched and you felt your head spin. That look on his face was criminal. Donnie’s heartbeat through his wrist was ten times quicker than what you’d felt while he slept. Love. You had never been great at feelings; they were volatile, confusing things and in your mind people were impossible to rely on, but Donnie was your constant. He was your certainty, and he wanted to be. Your own shaky hand gripped him tight and without another thought your lips slammed against his. Donnie melted. His other arm pulled you closer by your waist and he kissed you back. Your lips were hot and plush and he kissed you again and again and again until he’d pushed you into the pillows with his enthusiasm. His glasses were askew and foggy again. You held his face to adjust them. The two of you panted. Your eyes glimmered when you looked up at him through your lashes and Donnie felt weak. “I love you, too. I don’t understand how you,” you kissed him once, sloppily, “thought you didn’t deserve my attention. I thought- I didn’t deserve yours.”
Donnie pulled you in for another kiss, letting out a small sound as your exhales mingled and your pretty, pretty hands wrapped around his neck. You were smiling so hard you couldn’t kiss him properly. “I’m dreaming. I have to be,” he mumbled as he planted wet kisses against your cheek. “You’ve always had my attention, I’ve been all yours for years.”
You pulled him in to kiss you again. “Years?”
“Years.”
You hiked your knee up enough to try to wrap your leg around him and keep him close to you. Your lips met his, softly, sweetly, pouring out all of the feelings you’d been too incompetent to convey. Donnie’s hands caressed your waist the way he’d dreamed of. The two of you knocked noses and giggled.
The faint sound of music filled the lair as Splinter got up to start his morning meditation and hummed some old tune, smiling as he heard the sound of his son up early and the air of peace at last in the lair.
A/N It's finally done!!! I have so many fic ideas now that this is done with. Peep the cultural references. Hope you liked it!

Raph
Agreeing to be more than friends but less than lovers with Raph is filled with angst. Why wouldn’t it be? Raph is on the possessive side and has an inclination towards keeping you for himself. However, the whole agreement is made before Raph gets too attached. Because of his responsibilities, lack of want of something that would tie him down when he’s busy, and inability to keep consistent contact with a significant other, the two of you agree that what you have is strictly just for the benefits and not something that needs constant maintenance. This way, Raph is more comfortable being half in and half out with his commitment at all times and you, with your equally bad commitment issues, can rest assured that you won’t need to deal with a clingy boyfriend 24/7 and only get the good sides of a relationship.
Raph is likely to start a fwb contract, be completely fine with it for the first couple months, then start to feel the nasty feelings of regret and jealousy creep in around month 5. He lasts longer than you’d think before his feelings catch up. You come to him when you want attention and physical comfort and things you can’t get from a normal friend and he starts to dislike the thought of you being close to anyone else.
He’s confusing, definitely sends a tonnn of mixed signals and gets frustrated when he can’t deal with his own feelings. Never texted you much at the start, but now he sends ‘where are you’s and ‘goodnight, thinking about you’s like a drunk ex and gets bitter and ashamed when you chastise him for not sticking to the rules you agreed to (one of them being not to text like a couple because it grosses you out).
Raph finally understands with time that he needs to sort his shit out and with that comes the understanding that he doesn’t want to be just friends with benefits with you anymore. He’s super intense at the start, but it peters out into longing stares and wistful hugs when you come over.
Little does poor Raph know, you can tell that he’s getting weirdly clingy with you and you don’t like it. You’ve always been the avoidant type, you have trouble with maintaining a moderate level of attachment to someone. There’s always the feeling of latent disgust when it comes to situations where you have to be vulnerable, but you’ve learned over time that you can control your feelings and that distance is the best way to keep things neutral on your end. Avoidance sparks up quick if you’re not careful. Raph’s clinginess makes you want to avoid him, and you very slowly start to ignore his texts and keep the more-than-friendly interactions to a minimum.
Raph lets his actual emotions slip one night on your fire escape…
“Sweetheart, listen,” Raph began before you cut him off.
“Look, I was serious when I told you not to show up. I’ve got shit to do, and my roommate’s home and you just can’t be here right now. I don’t have time for this.”
Raph ducked under the half-open window, shell knocking against the frame as he stepped into your room. You look up at him reluctantly. His face was shadowed, the rim of his shell caught the moonlight and left him with a soft white outline. His soft gaze was on your face. A hint of sadness flickered in his eyes and you wanted to avoid this altogether. “You don’t get it. I just wanna talk. No funny business, just a conversation. You can give me that, right?” Raph sounded almost pleading, but not quite. You ducked your head to break eye contact after a second.
“I already told you,” you started quietly, “I don’t have time.”
Raph frowned, taking another step closer and reaching out to touch your face. Your hand immediately flew up to hold his wrist. The two of you were held in suspense. “You been avoidin’ me.”
“No I haven’t.” You responded defensively. Raph stroked his thumb over your cheek and you pushed his hand away.
“See? You’re avoidin’ me right now. You won’t look me in the face. What, you don’t like what you see? You don’t want this anymore?”
You went to protest, but Raph cut you off. His voice got slightly more heated. “You’ve been doin’ this for weeks. Look at me, why won’t you just-“
“Raph, I need you to leave. We’ll talk later. Please don’t do this right now.”
“I can’t. You won’t respond to my fuckin’ texts.” The red turtle huffed, frowning and looking down as his tone got more frustrated. “You’ve been leavin’ me on read. What’s with that, huh? I just wanted to see you. I seem to recall us agreeing that’s allowed, right?”
“I’ll text later, okay? I will. Why do you have to push it? God.”
“Because I love you.” The sound of a passing car was all that filled the air as Raph looked at you with intent. Your eyebrows pinched together. You felt nauseous. You hadn’t wanted it to come to this. Raph had naively hoped his words you tug somewhere in your heart and get you to feel the same way about him, and he was wrong. Your fatal flaw was once you’d distanced yourself, you couldn’t undo it.
“Don’t say that. Please, don’t say that.”
Raph sighed. “Why not.” His voice was gravelly, and he took another step forward. You took a step back, looking at him with an expression he couldn’t place, but made his stomach churn uncomfortably. His worst fear had been seeing that look on your face. You steeled your expression, and the only words that left your mouth made Raph regret ever coming over. You didn’t want to hurt him, but you couldn’t give him false hope, either.
“We should end this.”
Raph sucked in a sharp breath. His expression fell and a look of bitter acceptance rolled over it. Without a word, he backed away to the fire escape and left with a single, dejected look back.
Leo
The most likely to get caught up in a fwb situation. His responsibilities as the leader give him little time to put effort into a relationship. But also, Leo’s a coward. He runs and hides from his problems and in a relationship he feels like he’d be no different. However, Leo is also very respectful and doesn’t want to lead anyone on, which leads him to the person he trusts the most when it comes to stuff like this: you. Leo is kind of annoying to decide rules for your arrangement with, because he will butt in and change stuff up and give you minimal opportunities to put your own rules down.
Leo is hot. Sometimes his attitude adds to his appeal. You and Leo find it easy to be friends with benefits, way easier than you expect and it goes on for around a year before your dynamic starts to change. Leo is probably the one that can hold out the longest before catching feelings. Instead of a gradual realisation, Leo is smacked in the face with the fact that he loves you and couldn’t imagine his life without you in it.
You’re unintentionally the best partner he could think of; you support him as a leader, you prefer your own time alone but when you’re with him you fill a hole in his heart with your actions, overall you’re ever present without suffocating him. Leo grows to love this about you and feels like if it’s with you, he could make a relationship work. You, on the other hand, are acting as you usually would with a friend (outside of your private hangouts obvi).
Leo misconstrues everything you do. He takes your affection to be reciprocating his own feelings and doesn’t stop to think that it’s just part of your arrangement as more-than-friends. Once he realises he likes you like that, he feels entitled to your time. He gets pent up and bitter over his own feelings and agonises for a long time over every little action you do. Leo makes the mistake of thinking the feeling’s mutual after he realises he likes you and that’s what undoes your arrangement.
You somehow fixed Leo’s avoidant issues, but what about yours? Things are completely fine until Leo starts getting sappy outside your designated hangout time. Leo is a little corny and wants to be all soft and sweet with you all the time, which throws you off really fast. What’re you meant to feel when he calls you ‘love’ all casual-like in front of his brothers before a mission? You pull away insanely quick. For a while you think you can handle it, that Leo will come to his senses, but it just gets worse with time.
Eventually, you both end up arguing…
You weren’t prepared for Leo to say what he did when he called you down to the lair. You were in the dojo with the doors locked. His brothers were asleep. It was late, and you’d only come down because Leo had begged over text, which was unusual for him even with his behaviour lately. Leo was all over you, hands set on your waist and hot breath mingling with yours as he sat with you. You leaned into the palm of his hand instinctively. He’d been normal so far. It looked like all he’d wanted was someone to be close to tonight. It was one of those rare nights off, the few times Leo was left with his own thoughts and couldn’t channel his energy into meditation or training. Everything was fine until he moved to kiss your cheek. You frowned. Then, your temple. He kissed the tip of your nose, between your eyes, and then over your closed eyelids.
“You’re pretty, know that?”
You didn’t say anything, ducking your gaze as he caressed the nape of your neck and kissed your forehead. He exhaled shakily, nudging your cheek with his snout.
“God, I love you.”
You froze the second you heard the words slip. You internally cursed. Any relief you’d felt at his previous actions dissipated. You had been fooled for a second into thinking everything was fine, that the normal, cocky, teasing Leo had been back, but then he turned into this. His softness scared you. You didn’t know how to handle it. Discomfort shot through you, crawling up your spine and jerking you away from the leader in blue. Leo looked at you in confusion.
“What’d you say?”
Leo’s eyes flickered over your face, brow furrowed.
“I love you. Is that not-“
“Leo, tell me you’re fucking with me.”
“I’m not, I’m being… serious… is there something wrong?” Leo shifted in an attempt to get closer and you backed away again, shuffling until your back hit the wall.
“You do know what we agreed on, right?”
Leo’s gaze suddenly went a little more steely and he seemed to understand what was happening. He looked conflicted, like he couldn’t quite reconcile with what was going on. “Yeah. But you’ve been giving me these signs.”
“No, I haven’t.” You looked at him with a look of what Leo could only describe as fear, like you were afraid you’d accidentally led him on. You had a good heart and had never wanted anything like this to happen, and mentally kicked yourself for not ending your arrangement the second you caught onto Leo’s odd behaviour.
“You’re telling me, what, that it was all in my head?”
“If that’s how you understand it.”
Leo stared at you, a serious, solemn look cast over his features. He bowed his head and you sighed. You needed to leave.
Mikey
Surprisingly least likely to enter a friends with benefits contract. He’s very upfront with his emotions so you’re more likely to actually wind up in a relationship with Mikey than any other kind of dynamic. He’s more boyfriend material than fwb material. However, if he gets caught up in the moment, he might find himself in the most gut wrenching, messed up, emotional situationship of all time. This sweet guy ends up in a more than friends but less than lovers position with you when he crashed at your place after working all day and woke up to you trying to pull the blanket that had fallen off the couch back over him. He ends up being too awkward to mention anything about your relationship after you both establish a fwb situation.
Mikey doesn’t necessarily like confrontation, which is why him not saying anything drags on for a month longer than he wanted it to. He realises he likes you more than he should 4 months in, and spends a month trying to figure out the best way to bring it up without messing up the dynamic you have.
You care about Mikey with your whole heart, and getting into the agreement was a spur of the moment thing after he’d pulled you in to kiss him that night on your couch. You always get caught up in the adrenaline rush you get with Mikey, but you know full well your feelings aren’t romantic. Mikey is funny and makes you smile, but you don’t think about anything more. Your obliviousness is what becomes you guys’ downfall.
Mikey tries to devise all kinds of plans on how to bring it up, and Leo has walked in on the orange turtle pacing back and forth muttering to himself about it before. Mikey doesn’t want you to abandon your friendship entirely and is stuck in a sort of decision paralysis about it.
You only notice Mikey’s change in attitude towards you when he starts acting sheepish. He tries hard to act normal, but that ends up being what gives him away. You don’t recognise that he’s being weird with you because he likes you, but when he starts casually bringing up hypothetical situations and spending more time actually lost in thought when he’s with you instead of being as carefree as he usually is, you start to suspect something.
You try to convince yourself it’s nothing and that Mikey’s just done something and is scared to tell you in case you get mad (which isn’t far off) but that leads you nowhere. Mikey’s sudden awkwardness makes you feel awkward and you begin to distance yourself before you know it. You’re a contradictory person, and showing affection was fine till now because you didn’t believe there was anything between you. The second stuff starts to get for reals, you flee.
You hang out with him in the van one evening and Mikey finally cracks…
You lounged on the passenger seat of the van, leaning against the door with your back against the window and your eyes on Mikey. Mikey was in the same position, leaning against the driver-side door and looking right back at you. You’d seen that almost bashful, playful expression a thousand times and it lessened the feeling of unease that had been churning in your stomach for a while.
“What?”
“I’m just lookin’. Got a problem?”
You snort, shaking your head as Mikey’s foot nudges your knee. “Nope. What’re we doing, though? I’m assuming you had an agenda for after you drove us back.”
The two of you had been on a late night drive. Snacks, movie in the back of the van and music on the radio. Mikey had parked down the usual alley by your apartment once the evening was over, window wipers swaying back and forth on the van’s window to swipe away the pouring rain. In retrospect, that should’ve been an indicator that thing’s weren’t going to go the way Mikey wanted. Pathetic fallacy or something.
“Uhhh, about that.” Mikey shrugged. “I have no clue, dude. Actually... Oh, ooh, I just remembered, I forgot to ask how your interview went! Yeah, let’s go with that.” He waved his hand with a flourish, indicating you should speak. You grinned, leaning an elbow against the dashboard as you launched into the story. You’d messaged Mikey a week ago about the interview and the orange turtle had somehow remembered. That, if anything, should've been a bigger indicator. You got more energetic as you explained all the details the fancy office building had, the ridiculous number of plants the interviewer had in her office, and the annoying forms you had to fill. Mikey exhaled, worry leaving his mind as he watched you talk and sketch out shapes in the air with your hands. The awkwardness left his mind completely. He had a loving look in his eyes as he looked at you. When you took a second to laugh at the absurdity of your interview and how you were better off applying somewhere else, Mikey sighed dreamily.
“I love you.”
It felt like all your blood was drained out of your body. Your stomach twisted violently and you dropped your gaze.
“Are you serious?”
Mikey seemed to realise what he’d said, and considered backtracking, but knew it was all or nothing now. “I- well- yeah. I mean it. I like you. Like-like you. Love you. It’s whatever.”
“No, it isn’t. This wasn’t meant to-“ You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose in confusion and frustration. You hoped this would never happen. You refused to look up, not wanting to see Mikey’s expression slowly but surely turn into one of anxiety. His smile had dropped. You felt discomfort and guilt flush through your system.
“What?”
“I can’t, Mikey. We can’t. I’m gonna go, ‘kay? I’m gonna go.” With that you turned and pulled on the door handle, shouldering your bag and slamming the door shut behind you. Mikey was left to watch your figure turn into a blur in the rain, heart shattered.
Donnie
He has no idea how he got into this situation, but he’s taking it. As the mediator of his brothers, Donnie is very in tune with his emotions so you wouldn’t expect him to get swayed that quickly. Statistically, he knows that fwb arrangements usually end with one or both parties falling for the other and all kinds of drama that he is nottt about to deal with, but one look at your face and he can’t help himself.
Falls for you embarrassingly quick. It’s ridiculous how quickly he realises he’s in love with you (though that may be because he’s not as emotionally constipated as his brothers). It takes this fella 2 months to figure his shit out and he does a better job of hiding it from you at the start.
Donnie is Donnie though, and he can only handle so much without letting something slip. He starts feeling guilty and then shy and awkward and a number of other feelings he’s not prepared for. He can’t calculate the outcome if he does confess to you and he’s straight up terrified of variables he can’t control. If he thinks there’s even a minute chance of this messing up your friendship or starting drama among the team he won’t confess. But he’s emotionally mature enough to know that he can’t avoid his troubles and give up forever; he does try to throw himself into work for a while, but to no avail.
You also start to figure it out when Donnie figures his own feelings out. You didn’t notice a thing at first and you had no problem being touchy and affectionate with him, but the second his gaze got a little too soft and he got a little too touchy in front of the others you knew something was up.
You don’t want to distance yourself, but Donnie of all people feeling something for you freaks you out because you don’t want this to go wrong. You don’t like him the way you suspect he likes you and you had gone into this on the assumption that Donnie would be more proficient with controlling his own emotions. Clearly not. You have to lie to yourself and tell yourself you’re just imagining things for you to be able to keep up your arrangement.
Donnie stalks your every move. He knows he’s being weird and acting out, and the fact that he’s monitoring you tells him his feelings are deeper than he’d suspected, but he can’t stop himself. He assesses your typing speed, the frequency of emojis you use in each text thread, how dilated your pupils get when you’re alone with him, your heartbeat when you both hang out, the inflection in your voice, how often you contact him first and anything else he can, all to try to get the best possible assessment of whether you like him back or not.
You’re in the lab with him when he finally confirms your fears…
You sat in Donnie’s lap, back flush with his plastron as you mindlessly scrolled on your phone. The purple turtle had pulled you onto his lap the second he locked the lab door and had you alone. His forearm was strapped around your middle. He wasn’t usually so decisive with his actions, but tonight it looked like he was stressed and decided he needed the physical contact. You heard his heavy sigh and turned your head as best you could.
“Don? Need help?”
Donnie hummed lowly as though considering your offer, before nodding. He kissed the junction where your shoulder met your neck and you shivered at the unexpected contact. He let you slip off his lap, standing up himself to stretch his legs and sort through his schematics. He handed you a screwdriver and dragged over a stool for you to sit on. He sat back down on his own chair, facing you and holding the piece of tech he was working on between his knees to hold it steady. You sat down on the stool, facing him expectantly.
“I just need you to unscrew that screw there. My hands keep bumping the opening. I think yours should be able to reach...”
“Gotcha. This one?”
“Yeah. It’s fiddly.”
Donnie watched your face morph into one of intense focus as you found the minuscule screw Donnie had been referring to and the way your other hand brushed his as you stabilised yourself and angled the screwdriver. Your lashes cast shadows on your cheeks and he found himself lost in the moment. He didn’t mean to whisper his feelings the way he did, but regardless, as he looked at you, he couldn’t stop himself.
“I love you.”
You paused. Your hand knocked the sharp corner of the opening in the machine Donnie was holding still and you hissed, retracting your hand and dropping the screwdriver with a clatter to the floor. Your hand stung and you suddenly felt sick. “What’re you saying? Fuck, Donnie, don’t do this to me right now.”
Donnie immediately tried to backtrack. “I- I wasn’t- I didn’t mean to say that. Well, I did, I do mean it, but I wasn’t planning on telling you like that. Is your hand hurt? I’m sorry, let me see, please.“
You pulled your hand away from his outstretched one and abruptly stood up. Donnie faltered. He knew he shouldn’t have said anything. You gave him a look that squeezed the muscle of his heart and dropped it down into his stomach.
“Are you insane? We agreed no feelings. No feelings, Donnie! What happened to ‘I don’t like you like that’?”
Donnie stared at you. He was starting to grasp the gravity of the error he’d just made. Your tone was full of stress, it was evident you were freaking out over his words. You had been under the impression you could trust him not to pull anything like this when you agreed on being friends with benefits, but it looked like that wasn’t happening. You hated hurting feelings. With one last look at Donnie and a shake of your head, you turned and marched out of the lab.
A/N Lil angst to get you through the week. The 15-something-k Bay Donnie fic is so close to being done and I'm lowkey procrastinating everything else while I finish that one but here's this!
Taglist: @symbiosae
And taglist! going over basic stuff on here about updates, schedules, the boring stuff
Okay so I've almost decided that Saturdays will be when I post, purely for efficiency's sake. This doesn't mean there won't be posts during the rest of the week, but I think Saturdays (at least for now) will be when I 100% try to get stuff out. The first couple weeks will probably not stick to this since I'm notoriously ass at rigorous schedules, but I'll definitely try. Fun fact, I started writing on here as a secret just-for-this-summer thing and didn't expect to have to make a post schedule lmaoo. So so grateful for anyone who likes/comments on/reblogs my stuff!!
I'm not much of an updater, most of my posts are just fics or the essential stuff (like this one). If it's a big thing, like a post being rescheduled or when a full fic is coming out, I might drop a post or two letting you know.
As for a Taglist, anyone who wants to be notified of when I post can comment on this post if they'd like to be added! Just put down the fandom (if you'd only like specific ones) and I've gotchu. Will update this post regularly and try to make sure to get anyone who'd like to be added on. (๑>•๑)φ
I lowkey lost the request for this one, but these are hcs on the Bay!Turtles (separately) with reader's first time (who's a lil insecure). I'm thinking of sorting out a schedule for my posts because while every 2-4 days is alright, it's a little stressful. Anyway, read on!

Leo
He’s incredibly respectful about anything remotely sexual, this guy is a stickler for rules and boundaries and doesn’t push anything. He actually doesn’t think much about the sexual side of your relationship because it just doesn’t cross his mind, the way your dynamic comes off is very elderly-couple vibes even from the get go. That’s not to say the leader in blue doesn’t have urges, though. Sometimes he catches himself looking at you and has to force down any and all indecent thoughts that come to the forefront of his mind.
The way you both get to the point of your first time is entirely by accident. Leo wanted it to be perfectly planned out, romantic and scheduled in accordance with your availability, but that went wayyy down the drain when you came over to the lair one evening. His brothers were out on patrol, Splinter was god knew where, he had no responsibilities for once and you were sitting on his bed. How could Leo not kiss you? One thing led to another and you’re both confronted with your first time…
You had both been at it for a while. Hot, open mouthed kisses, the feeling of Leo’s wandering hands, the feel of his thick, muscled thigh pushed up flush against your crotch. He pulled away with his eyes half lidded, searching yours for any sign of discomfort. You were conflicted. The dull throbbing between your legs screamed at you to hurry up and get rid of the panties Leo hadn’t taken off yet, but another, louder voice was telling you to hide and never come out ever again. As long as you could remember the idea of your first time had been absolutely terrifying. It had only become worse with time; the internet, societal expectations and friends of friends’ experiences all contributed to how people viewed sex, and you were, quite frankly, scared. The grainy videos circling through guy’s group chats of unrealistic bodies and exaggerated moaning and really really questionable tropes didn’t help at all. You knew Leo. You knew how sweet he was, how he took care of you and you had no doubt in your mind about trusting him with something like this. However, there was the nagging fear that refused to leave you. You silently cursed humanity for becoming so prudish about nudity and not teaching you about what your first time would actually be like, or what was right or wrong or anything at all. Leo kissed your neck and you shivered, rolling your clothed heat up into his hard dick where it rested against your thigh. Your panties were soaked through, sticking to you and covered in a mixture of Leo’s pre and your own wetness. God, it wasn’t this difficult for nature. Most of it consisted of getting on all fours, fucking for like two minutes and being done with it. You sighed. Leo reached to brush your face.
“Are you… Do you want us to stop? I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable, sweetheart.” He was breathing heavily, an oddly pained look on his face that told you he was definitely struggling to control himself. You looked down. He’d taken your top off, and your pants, but left your underwear on. The feel of him rock-hard against your clothed pussy was making you squirm.
“I’m okay. Yeah, I’m…”
Leo frowned at the millisecond of hesitation that marked your words. He cupped your face. “Talk to me. I’ll stop right now if you don’t want this, yeah?” He breathed out, leaning his face down closer and moving himself back a little, away from between your legs to give you space.
You shook your head hurriedly, reaching up to touch his plastron. “No, I don’t want you to stop. I’m just… y’know. Nervous.”
“Good nervous or bad nervous?”
“Both? I don’t know.” You exhaled, squeezing your legs together around the thigh he’d moved away to get him to come closer again. “I’m scared,” you whispered, eyelashes casting shadows on your cheeks when you looked down. “I don’t want you to see, but I also really want um-” you burned with embarrassment. Leo understood what you were saying, and he didn’t like the tone of insecurity creeping into your voice. He kissed your forehead.
“Listen to me. Listen, okay?” He kissed your cheek. His cock was throbbing and he swore he could feel the pulse of your pussy just from where his dick rested. “We’re doing this slow. You trust me, right?” You nodded. “You have nothing to be scared of me seeing. I love you. You love me. I was scared about you not being exactly okay with my own situation, I mean- different anatomy- but you made me feel good about it. Let me make you feel good.” Leo’s voice dropped an octave as he spoke. He gently rutted against your clothed cunt once more, getting you to squirm and let slip a wanton moan. His hands trailed down to your panties. He glanced up at you once to make sure you were okay with it, before peeling the thin, sticky, semi-transparent fabric from your slick soaked pussy. He groaned. “Oh. You’re so… such a pretty pussy. Come here. Yeah, come here gorgeous.” Leo was going to fuck all the worry from your mind and then some.
Raph
He’s thought about fucking you before, but is at first too worried about hurting you to actually initiate anything beyond making out. Is likely more insecure than he gives off, that man loves getting you all flustered but has no clue how to deal with the aftermath. Your first time isn’t exactly planned. However, you both do have a lengthy conversation about how it’d work and the prep required in the first place.
Raph is the type to forego internet research, but will very awkwardly ask Donnie what to do because why would he need the internet when he has the equivalent in the form of his brother that doesn’t save search history? He does try to be all casual and hypothetical about it, but Donnie definitely knows why his brother’s suddenly asking about that kinda stuff. The red turtle has come across one or two outrageously explicit videos before, though. He will reassure you a million times over because he gets it. Eventually your first time creeps up on you and he finds himself with his head between your legs…
“Fuck. I can smell you.” Raph’s big hands were on your hips, rubbing little circles on them. It relaxed you a little, but you were still stressed out and were struggling not to shut your thighs in embarrassment. The idea of him so close to your cunt freaked you out and turned you on all at once. You’d been in this position before, but the knowledge that this time was for real was gnawing at your gut. The gooey slick collecting between your legs was only increased by Raph’s small, warm huffs against your panties. The anticipation was killing you, you could feel your thighs trembling and your hands shake as you stared down at Raph’s face between your legs. He was salivating, eyes fixated on where the damp patch in your panties grew bigger.
“Don’t say it like that,” you whined. He chuckled and experimentally licked over where the fabric clung to your pussy. You jerked your hips up, squeezing your thighs together reflexively in humiliation. Raph groaned, prying your thighs apart away from around his head. He noticed your trembling and paused. “Baby. You’re shaking.” You shook your head, keeping your head turned away as your face flushed with heat. Raph slid a hand up to gently hold onto one of your own, moving up enough to kiss your lower stomach. You were so desperate it was making your thoughts fuzzy, but even then the dull prick of anxiety shot through your stomach and made your skin clammy and cold while the temperature between your legs stayed hot. The contrast was making you feel almost feverish.
“Sweetheart. Hey. What’s wrong, hm? It too much? You know I ain’t gonna do anything if it’s too much.”
You clung onto his hand for comfort, taking a few little breaths. “I’m scared. I’ve never done- you know. It’s a lot but in a good way?” The furrow in Raph’s brow relaxed as you clung tight and didn’t flinch away. He was scared of being too much, too big, too overwhelming. The last thing he wanted was to scare you off, but it looked like you were adamant about him staying right where he was. Your mind was at war with itself while your body had the straightforward objective of getting his cock in you. Raph kissed your lower stomach reverently, trailing the kisses down.
“I gotcha. I always gotchu, you know that, right?” You nodded your head and he kissed where your panties started. “Use your words hon.”
“Mhm. Yeah. You have me. You got me.” The affirmation was more for yourself than in response to him, but your breathing slowed and your trembling slowly lessened as Raph squeezed your hand and waited. Raph huffed against your pussy again, licking once when he felt like you were more prepared. You moaned in encouragement and he pulled your sticky panties to the side, groaning lowly as he pushed his thick tongue into your hole and lapped at your wetness. You rolled your hips, still clutching desperately onto his hand as he sloppily ate you out. His other hand’s thumb rubbed against the rim of the tight ring of muscle, before sliding slowly into your pussy with a squelch. He moved his mouth away from your clit with a loud slurp, saliva stringing between your pussy and his lips. You moaned obscenely, just his finger was enough to have you grinding down, already stretched out.
“Don’t you worry. I’m gonna take care of you,” Raph mumbled dazedly into your pussy, replacing his thumb with his index and making a beckoning motion that had your walls twitching and fluttering. His own hard dick slid in a pool of its own pre against the mattress and he grunted, rocking his hips as he stretched you out with his fingers. Raph was going to take care of everything.
Donnie
This guy has looked at every single online forum and alternate source of information possible. He’s a scientist, he’s well acquainted with bodily functions, but in practice it’s a little different. He’s similar to Leo in that he completely forgets about sex as a whole and then it just hits him that you both might do it one day. Is incredibly respectful and tentative with the sexual side of your relationship. However, he’s had all sorts of fantasies about you and has needed to sit with himself and a hard-on in silence more than once after you’ve been down to the lair. He’s the type to wait until you bring it up while being in absolute agony trying to suppress his urges.
Is absolutely resolute on needing to talk to you about it before and go over his own anatomy. He’s slightly scared of being rejected, but you love and trust him and he chills out about it. Your first time starts with the lab… (cause duh)
You were in one of Donnie’s worn shirts, nestled in his lap. You were waiting for him to finish his work and, in the process, had begun to fall asleep with your cheek smushed against his shoulder. Donnie was laser focused on his work, but he had started slowing down when he realised you were falling asleep. He paused his work every thirty minutes or so to kiss your temple and mumble something about being done soon. You huffed and sat back the third time you stirred awake and found yourself still stuck on his lap at his desk. Donnie rubbed your back guiltily.
“Hey, love. Did I wake you?”
You groaned and flopped back into his chest dramatically. You sleepily kissed his neck and Donnie froze, staying utterly still as you irritatedly smooched up his jaw and onto his cheek. “You,” kiss “said,” kiss “you’d,” kiss “be done soon!” Donnie’s expression softened and he found himself grabbing your face so you’d kiss him properly. The two of you melted into one another until Donnie’s other hand left his worktop and rested against your waist. You scooted closer on his lap, hand resting on his plastron and other hand against his shoulder; Donnie made a noise when your chest brushed up to press against his. Ten minutes later you were on your knees staring up at him. Determination filled you; if he wasn’t going to make good on his promises to finish up you were going to encourage him. His large, calloused palm was flush with your cheek, and his glasses were foggy. He was biting his lip. Donnie watched with his breath held in suspense as you nuzzled your face into his crotch, the warm air making him shudder. You tugged at his sweats and he fumbled to help you slide them off. He was panting from the way you kitten-licked his cloaca. God, you were perfect; he’d insisted you didn’t need to do anything for him, that he hadn’t wanted to make you uncomfortable, but you were adamant. He kept his hand on top of your head, petting you and mumbling assurances as you experimentally sucked.
“So good. You’re so good. Just like that. Sweet girl.” His voice cracked when he fully dropped and you felt the slightly slick feeling of his cock resting against your face. He was staring down at you with adoration in his eyes.
“Donnie- ah- Donnie, hold on…” Donnie had you back on his lap. He’d pulled you back up before he had the chance to cum, wanting to return the favour. His eyes were half lidded with lust and he thumbed over your hard nipples as he rocked his cock against you. You were humping his cock needily, the sleepy haze hadn’t yet left you and the pulsing in your pussy as he got you to grind down on his dick dragged you into another kind of haze. His hands were slipping down to palm your hot, achy pussy and you whined. “Donnie, you don’t need to I-” The purple turtle kissed your cheek slowly, glasses bumping against your cheekbone. He panted.
“I can- I’m sorry, I can stop. You want me to stop?” He looked down where the crotch of your panties were covered in a hefty coating of your own slick and his precum and made a low sound you swore sent vibrations up your cunt. His dick was shoved under the soft cotton and flush with your heat, the pretty fabric held his cock to you as you both rubbed against one another.
“No, no, I don’t want you to stop. I… If we keep going I- I don’t wanna disappoint you.” You whispered it reluctantly, as though you’d been thinking about it for a long time. Donnie paused. “Is that what you’re worried about?” You slowly nodded, ducking your head. He cupped your face. “You could never disappoint me. You’re perfect. You’ve done so well learning about me and adjusting to my needs; let me take care of yours. I want to, if you’ll let me. Let me prove how perfect you are.” You shyly nodded, forehead pressed to his.
Mikey
Two words: Dirty minded. I mean, Shell tightening?? This guy is so down bad for you in every single way it’s almost painful. His love is sweet and innocent and as bright as the sun at the start of you guys’ relationship, and you both get comfortable making crappy ‘that’s what she said’ jokes at one another. You can joke about sex, but Mikey is secretly terrified that when it comes to the actual thing he won’t know what to do. Like Raph he has also stumbled across some wild videos and been permanently scarred for life.
He’s made out with you tons of times, the two of you have strayed into dangerous territory more than once and every time Mikey has felt more and more confident about the prospect of a first time. He was scared at first, but now he’s needy on the low. Is incredibly respectful and will wait until you express your want of it, but is bouncing off the walls with need for his pretty girl. Your first time is perfectly set up by one of the tangerine turtle’s date night ideas…
“Aaaand open them!” Mikey took his hands off your eyes and gestured dramatically to the pillow fort he’d constructed. You squealed in excitement, looking up at Mikey and then back at the abundance of pillows and blankets.
“Movie date?” Mikey nodded in response, “Movie date, girl. Please, ah-ah, hold your applause. This way babe.” He led you to the centre of the mass of blankets. There was an assortment of snacks and several drink options set down next to them, condensation beading at their sides and slipping down to form watery rings on the little table Mikey had set everything out on.
The movie was long forgotten halfway in. Mikey was watching you lean into his side. You had a knee hiked up over his thick thigh, he was tracing his three-fingered hand up and down your upper arm. You were restless, feeling a sort of heat creeping up your thighs. Mikey’s every touch felt electric. He was clingy, you knew this, and yet today felt ten times more intimate than it had before. You huffed, lifting your head from where it rested on his shoulder and manoeuvring yourself to sit on his thigh. Mikey’s hands went straight to your hips to steady you.
“Angel. I can’t focus.” You frowned. Mikey gazed up at you where you sat perched on his thigh.
“Whad’you need baby? I can go get you some water? Ooh, ooh, we could totally ditch the movie and look for a game.”
You shook your head in response to both, not quite knowing what you wanted, but knowing that Mikey was the root cause of your restlessness. You leaned down slowly to nudge your nose to his cheek. Mikey’s breath stuttered. “I don’t know. I want you.” You mumbled it in hopes that he wouldn’t hear, but of course he did. His eyes widened, and his hand slowly slid up to your face. “You have me.”
Mikey was grinding you on his thigh. You’d been making out for the better part of an hour, worked up beyond belief and whimpering into each other’s mouths. Mikey’s thick cock had dropped the second he’d felt you humping his thigh. You whined when he squeezed your sensitive tits, pawing at you and flexing his muscular thigh under your pussy to goad you into jerking your hips harder. Mikey felt you struggling and placed a hand on your lower back; he pushed up and pushed you down onto the blankets. He was lost in the softness of your lips, moaning into your mouth and situating himself between your legs. You gasped when he replaced his thigh with his hand and slipped his hand under the fabric of your panties. Your thighs immediately clamped shut around his forearm and you squeaked in surprise. Mikey soothingly rubbed your outer thigh, slipping his hand out from between your legs. “You okay? Did I do something wrong?” You immediately shook your head. Your cheeks heated with embarrassment. “I’m sorry. You haven’t seen uh… down there before ’n I just freaked out for a sec.” Your voice was a whisper; Mikey’s brow furrowed in confusion and sympathy.
“Do you not want me to see?” You ducked your head, nodding once, but responding quickly to reassure him. “It’s not that I don’t want to, ‘m just worried. What if you don’t…” You trailed off, biting your lip anxiously. Mikey kissed your nose to pull you from your thoughts. You broke into a tiny smile.
“Babe. Baby. Love of my life. You’re the prettiest girl in the world. Every bit of you is pretty. Don’t do those ‘what if’s, I’m right here and I’m telling you, nothing about you will ever, ever put me off you, girl.” He kissed between your eyes again, a pure, unfiltered look of love on his face. You exhaled, feeling slightly teary as you pulled him down to kiss you again. Mikey was out to prove he loved every bit of your body.
A/N I'm so exhausted but I hope you like it! Literally any suggestions on how you'd like my posts to be scheduled would be welcome (๑>•๑)φ

Leo
Leo doesn’t usually come in through your fire escape, but he will turn up unannounced sometimes when he wants to see you. He’s secretly very needy and will take any excuse to come see you so expect him to turn up with flowers and a sheepish smile asking you to let him in.
Most of the time he will text you before he turns up, because he knows you don’t really like getting caught off guard and he likes making sure you’re available before he turns up. Has actually just sat on your fire escape being a tragic brooding yearner at some point and very much prefers to know that you’re at home and want to see him (which you definitely do).
He’s also turned up unannounced after a mission gone wrong before and his massive arm flexing when he sheathed his swords to come in through the window made you accept any and all unannounced visits. Leo decides to show up unannounced one night to see you after a long four days of not being able to…
Leo dropped down quietly onto your old rusty fire escape balcony. A couple of stray petals floated down from the bouquet he was carrying and he padded closer to your window. It was open, your blinds were rolled up and swaying gently in the breeze; Leo silently slipped in, brushing against the blinds. He wasn’t sure you were at home for a second, but there was the sound of music playing from the kitchen and he smiled. You were making dinner no doubt. He shifted as softly as he could over the floorboards, wincing when one creaked a little. He angled himself so you wouldn’t see him from where you were in the kitchen. He peered from where he stood hidden and was met with the sight of you waltzing around the kitchen as you cooked, moving along to the song you had playing on the speakers. You looked completely cheerful, mouthing along to the song lyrics as you stirred the pan over the stove and the delicious smell of cooking wafted down the hall to where Leo was standing. You spun around to reach a drawer, grabbing a fork. Leo forced himself not to smile. He’d never seen you like this, completely carefree and dancing around your kitchen to the beat of the song you had on. He could hear you mumbling the lyrics under your breath, giggling to yourself when the song got to a part you liked. Leo felt his chest ache and he just stood there, staring at you and wondering if he could somehow memorise this. You were light on your feet, tiptoeing to reach one of the spices on the shelves and moving your shoulders to the melody. The leader in blue suppressed a laugh, looking down while he smiled and shaking his head at how adorable the scene was. You moved on the spot while you waited for your food to finish sizzling in the pan, stirring the contents every so often to keep them from burning. Leo decided he’d been staring long enough and needed to stop before he considered a marriage proposal. Making a little noise so as to not scare you, he moved out of the shadows towards where you stood in the kitchen. You were startled regardless, squeaking slightly and immediately feeling the hot flush of blood rushing to your cheeks in embarrassment.
“Leo!”
“I wanted to drop by ‘nd see you, but I see I’ve interrupted your little dance session, huh.” Leo couldn’t stop the stupid smile on his face as he came over to you, gently pressing the flowers into your hands and leaning down to kiss your forehead. You groaned, a rush of different feelings flushing through your system as you buried your face in the soft flower petals. The scent calmed you down some and you sighed “How long were you there? And these flowers are so pretty… You really didn’t have to but they’re so lovely. Thank you.”
Leo had a hand on your lower back and was idly rubbing his thumb over it. He coughed awkwardly. “Not that long. You got some killer moves hon.” He smiled and kissed your hairline. The overwhelming urge to smother you with affection had filled him to the brim and you could tell by the way he was looking at you that you didn’t need to feel embarrassed. Leo couldn’t stop cheesing. He was more in love with you than before if that was even possible.
“What?”
“Nothing. You’re cute. Now that I’m here, would you like a dance partner?” Leo held his hand out. You took it, rolling your eyes playfully at him. His rough, calloused one met yours and he thumbed over your knuckles. “Let’s dance.” You chuckled and just held onto him as he very quickly changed the song to something slower and more relaxed. As he turned the both of you around he slid the pan off the stove, letting the residual heat do the rest of the cooking and turning the gas off. You huffed. He was too damn smooth. You rested your head against his plastron and the both of you swayed to the slow oldies tune Leo had picked; the light above the stove served as your only source of illumination as the two of you danced. “This is a cliche.”
“Probably. It’s cliche for a reason.” Leo smiled as he responded, gently shifting the two of you around. You gazed up at him. A lady’s muffled voice echoed from the speakers into the night and the jazzy twang of a guitar set off each step Leo pulled you into. You shut your eyes.
Mikey
King of dropping by unannounced. Is genuinely in agony when he can’t hang with you and will take full advantage of being able to show up on your fire escape whenever. You’ve gotten so used to it that he has a key to unlock your window if he drops by and you have it locked.
Has planned dates on your fire escape balcony before, you’ve manage to keep it fairly clean so the two of you dragged out blankets and pillows and cuddled up on there with snacks and a movie. Mikey helped you string up fairy lights on there to make it more aesthetic. Sometimes he’ll send you a text before he shows up, but often forgets to check his phone before he arrives and just trusts that you’re going to be there. He also likes chilling for a few in the alley by your apartment if you’re not home, before he heads back he legally has to pet the alley cats.
Is usually super loud upon entering so he doesn’t freak you out because he knows you dislike unannounced visits. Mikey decides he needs to turn up quietly one night and catches you dancing…
Mikey dropped oh so quietly onto your balcony. Or at least he intended to, the orange slider stubbed his toe and silently cursed and hopped in a circle to get rid of the pain. He peered nervously through your window, hoping you hadn’t heard him. Thankfully, the sound of music drifting from your apartment had muted the sound of his footsteps and he smiled, shifting the window further up so he could roll in. He dropped to the floor with a soft thud and began to shuffle to where the music was playing from. He slowly set down the bag of snacks he’d brought with him on your coffee table. The faint crinkle of the bag made him wince. He was excited to surprise you with your favourite snacks and the prospect of hanging out on a cool rooftop spot he’d discovered to make cute little charms together. He walked slowly. You were in the bathroom, speakers blasting some sort of sexy music while you got ready. Mikey had texted you about a date earlier and you had no clue when he was getting there, but decided to get ready. Your little makeup pouch was on the sink counter; hair ties and mascara and a packet of makeup remover wipes and some really old crusty lipgloss you hadn’t got around to getting rid of were strewn around. You were absentmindedly dancing, fixing your appearance in the bathroom mirror. Mikey watched quietly from the hall, awestruck by how pretty you looked. The faint scent of your body wash drifted from the bathroom and Mikey was left in a sort of daze; the sight of you in your casual, unaware state and smelling like dessert made him want to barrel in there and squeeze you. He kept himself in check. You looked lost in your own world, twirling and singing along as you zhuzhed up your appearance. You picked up one of the many soap bottles in the shower caddy, using it as a mock microphone as you waited for your body lotion to dry down a little. Mikey was conflicted, stuck between wanting to keep watching you and wanting to join in on the fun you were having. He was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, a large smile plastering his face and nothing but love in his eyes. You neatened your hem, doing a spin for the mirror and mouthing along to the song playing through your speakers as you leaned closer to the mirror to inspect your eyebrows; you placed a hand on the edge of the sink to stabilise yourself. Mikey smiled when you smiled, eyes sparkling with adoration.
“That’s my girl.” Mikey whispered to himself in the corridor. He couldn’t stop himself and with a cough and a purposefully loud “babe!” he entered your small bathroom. You were a little surprised, but threw your arms around him without hesitation. Mikey squeezed tight. He breathed in the scent of your lotion and sighed. You pulled away, a little shy.
“When did you get in? I didn’t even hear you this time.”
“I been here this whole time girl.” Mikey flashed you a silly grin and you sighed, pushing down your embarrassment. Mikey loved when you had fun and just looked happy that you had seemed so happy getting ready. He was definitely remembering this.
“Next time remind me to come by earlier, I totally need to dance with you.” He pinched your cheek and you batted his hand away playfully, opting to hold it instead. “Uh huh. Will do, Angel.” Mikey lifted your intertwined hands to kiss your smaller ones.
“Do you need a few more minutes? I can wait.”
You nodded, but pulled him closer. “Yeah, but you can stay in here. Pick the next song? My playlist has literally just been on repeat and I need some variation.” Mikey smiled, kissing your hand again and reaching for where your phone was balanced precariously on the edge of the sink. He scrolled until he found a good one, shifting awkwardly in the small bathroom. Mikey wrapped his arms around you from behind and rested his scarred chin on your shoulder. He pressed play. You smiled and continued getting ready in the mirror. Music filled your little bathroom.
Raph
Raph likes to drop by occasionally. He’s not too casual about it because he’s worried he might bother you if he turns up unannounced, but he will if a) he knows you’re free, b) he needs some respite from a mission and c) if he just needs to see you. Is also the type to brood dramatically on your fire escape. Has just sat there while you were home before to feel close to you without having to deal with communicating that he didn’t feel the greatest.
He adores when you greet him by the window and will lean in to kiss you before he comes in when you do. It’s literally a ritual for him every time. He likes the domestic stuff even if he doesn’t admit it, and will sit and watch the sunrise with you on your fire escape or occasionally from your rooftop; he’s the best blanket you could ask for and sits you in his lap because that guy runs hot and a blanket just doesn’t do it for you. One evening he decides he wants to come and see you while he’s on his way back to the lair…
Raph thudded onto the roof of your apartment building, heaving out a sigh. He swayed himself down onto the fire escape, descending until he reached your floor. He could hear the music from where he kneeled already and it relaxed his brow, he felt his tension ease out. He’d been super high strung recently and just wanted to drop by to check in on you. The thought of seeing you made his limbs loosen up and his mind clear of the worries and stressors bugging him. He crouched low on the fire escape, hidden by the shadows of the night. The rough ridges of his shell were illuminated ever so slightly by the moon, casting him in a contrasting backlight that outlined his silhouette, only seen if you squinted hard and knew where to look. For someone so big he made himself hard to notice. Years of training and refining his technique had led him to learn to completely conceal himself in the deep shadows of the night. Raph peered in through the window. You were moving around your living room. You held a stack of books in your arms, twirling around to the music and winding up at the opposite end of the small living area to deposit the books on the couch while you whisked back to clean off the coffee table. You were humming. Raph had never seen you quite so unbothered and in your element. It was mesmerising and he decided to sit and watch you- or rather- he couldn’t help but sit and watch you. Ruining your flow now felt wrong. Raph’s eyes followed you around the room, he smiled and ducked his head when you drummed your fingers against the little storage cubes you had in the corner. The soft knit blanket Raph had gifted you lay crumpled on your sofa and you slid over to it, singing along to your music as you began to pull over the corners and fold it back into a presentable square. Raph felt an unprecedented cuteness aggression fill him when he watched you smile as you folded it, you held it up to bury your face in it for a second before setting it back down, now neat, on the back of the couch. You thought about him when he wasn’t there. You were as distracted as anything from the outside world as you danced in your living room and you still smiled at the thought of him. God he was so lucky. He watched you shimmy your hips back over to the other end of the living room and decided he couldn’t stay on your fire escape anymore. With a great heave he rapped twice on the window pane and pushed it up to let himself in. You jumped, startled. Relief flooded you once you recognised the hulking figure of your favourite turtle filling the small corner where the window was situated. Then the embarrassment hit.
“Raph! What’re you-“
You had no time to finish your sentence before he came over and pulled you into his arms. You broke into a smile and hugged back, giggling.“Hey sweetheart. Droppin’ by to check on you. How’s my baby?” Raph was smiling like a fool as he held you close, nuzzling your hairline. You smiled and he set you down.
“I’m good, I just wasn’t expecting you to come by. I’m um- I’m cleaning.” You gestured awkwardly to the living room. Raph squished your cheeks with one of his large hands, leaning down and planting a sloppy kiss to your lips. You huffed.
“You were dancing. Where are those moves wi’me, ah?” You rolled your eyes and stood on your tiptoes to give him a kiss him back in retaliation. “Dance with me, then.”
Raph was for sure dying happy. “Focus on me.” He gave you a cocky smirk and you held onto his arms. Without warning he picked you up to spin you around. You squealed, hands anchoring onto his shoulders; he was grinning at your face as it contorted into embarrassed happiness. You were melting his stress away with just a smile.
Donnie
Donnie has seriously considered putting in monitors by your fire escape for safety purposes. He doesn’t want anything putting his baby in danger and is, on the low, a fan of being able to keep track of you. It has been speculated he has some control problems. Of course he never does anything without your express want of it and resorts to just checking in on you every so often. He’s a bit of a hopeless romantic in the sense that he’ll text you to come to the window and bam, there he is with tiramisu and a very detailed spreadsheet on a date.
Has sat by your window and looked in a few times and felt super embarrassed and ashamed afterwards because he got an identity crisis and was thoroughly convinced he was a creep. You just found it funny. He likes taking you to places to stargaze and shows up excited and unannounced if there’s a forecast for a clear night sky or meteor shower. He keeps you close and points out the constellations until you fall asleep. Donnie comes by one night to drop off your watch he fixed…
The tall turtle swung down to land on your fire escape. He sighed. He hasn’t seen you in what felt like forever and he usually wouldn’t come by like this but he just needed to see you. He hadn’t even texted you in his haste. His excuse was dropping off a watch he’d fixed for you a good while ago and even he knew that was a poor excuse. How else was he supposed to just show up? It only just occurred to him as he was crouching on your balcony, gear in hand, that he could just… show up. You always loved seeing him. Why was he getting all shy now? He shook it off and peered in through the corner of the window to see whether he could come in. Immediately he caught sight of you dancing. You were swivelling around your bedroom, a pile of freshly washed and dried laundry on your bed. A candle burned on your bedside table, it filled your room with the scent of vanilla cake. You had your music on loud and were singing along as you methodically folded your clothes to put them away. Donnie stared. He pushed his glasses up as though pressing his eyes to the lenses would help him see you better. You were completely ignorant of his presence, humming away with a lost smile on your lips as you folded your clothes to put in your chest of drawers; you had each tray open to have easy access to each drawer and you narrowly avoided bumping your hip against them each time you waltzed back and forth between your bed and the rest of the furniture. Your speakers played a vaguely familiar song and you chucked a few clothes to the other end of your bed as you sorted through the pile of clean laundry. Donnie noted you were in shorts and an oversized shirt that he was pretty sure was his. You danced away, nodding your head along and pausing your singing only to curse when an item of clothing refused to fold right the first time. Donnie caught himself smiling. He was smiling like an idiot. You were unaware and lost in your own little world, gently kicking the bottom drawer closed to the beat of the song as you whirled back over to your bed to continue folding. The purple turtle wanted to burn the image on the insides of his eyelids. He dryly swallowed, licking his lips to wet them as he watched you. He couldn’t stand being so far from you. Without ceremony he pushed up your window. The noise spooked you, but the familiar scraping sound of Donnie’s staff against the window frame told you who it was.
“Donnie, wh- hi?”
“Hey y/n. Sorry to drop by like this, but I… wanted to give you your watch.”
Donnie fumbled in one of the pouches on his utility belt for your watch, and hastily handed it to you. You took one look at it, put it down and pulled at Donnie so he’d be at your height. You leaned up to kiss him.
“Thank you. But seriously, how long were you there?”
“…8 minutes. I just needed to see you.” Donnie sheepishly kissed your cheek and you sighed, a smile formed on your lips. He gazed down at you with a steady, warm expression. “I didn’t expect to see you dancing, though. Pretty awesome. You been holding out on me?”
You dropped your forehead onto his chest, hiding your face in embarrassment. “No. Forget everything you saw.” You laughed when Donnie let out a chuckle and looked up at him. He cupped your face thoughtfully. His eyes brimmed with affection and the spark of an idea that popped into his overactive brain. “You wanna dance? Let’s dance, love.”
You made to protest, but his gentle hands and softer look than normal made you nod. He clumsily leaned down to kiss the bridge of your nose. Oh, right, he had his shoulder cam. ‘Please let it be on’ was his only thought as he held you close to him. If it was, he was treasuring that audio and whatever visible video he could scavenge forever. The hopeless romantic in Donnie was alive and well.
A/N Literally stayed up all night I'm beat hope you like it
MDNI! Can't deal with this summer heat sooo here's some dirty minded Bay!Donnie Wc: 1.8k
Tags: Bay!Donnie x reader, fem reader, both are inept in all sorts of ways, slightly clueless reader, not proofread, Donnie gets hard, should I make this a longer fic?
It was sweltering. Sweat dripped down your back, collected on your chest, made your inner elbows and the backs of your knees sticky. You had been holed up in your apartment trying to escape the heat, but the paper fan you’d made did nothing to stand up to the way the sun penetrated the ozone and threatened to melt the earth’s crust. Night was worse. Somehow instead of cooling down everything became hotter. It was getting colder incrementally and you clung to the hope that the suffocating summer heat would ease off into a more agreeable temperature. You fanned yourself with the flimsy paper fan you’d folded, lying flat on your bed. The shower you’d taken had helped some, rinsing the sweat from your body and relieving you of the relentless stickiness; the idea of going to the local store and climbing into the deep freezer remained an appealing idea in spite of the cold shower. You hadn’t used your phone in fear of it overheating and you had no energy in you to get up and go find something to do that didn’t involve lying on your bed. You groaned. The plans you had made with April and a couple of your other friends had been postponed to when the weather was a little more agreeable and you were in a bitter mood because of it. Sighing and rolling onto your stomach so your back could have some reprieve from the heat building up between your skin and the sheets, you blindly patted around on your bed for your phone. It blinked at you. You stared at your lock screen for a long while. Your phone stuttered, then the screen went black. With a great heave, you decided you were going to drop in unannounced on the turtles.
Underground the heat was almost worse. You had expected it to be cooler, but remembered that the sun was glaring down at the roads too and had likely sank the heat deep into the ground. You were in the skimpiest clothes you could find. Still, your body protested at the feel of the fabric against your skin and the way it retained your body heat; you had seriously debated showing up with nothing on but reminded yourself that was very definitely a bad idea. You tugged at the neck of your cami top, attempting to get the air to flow between your body and the fabric. Your shorts were clinging uncomfortably to your ass. You tugged awkwardly to get them to sit better as you entered the lair. Thankfully it looked like there was an aircon system and you almost sank to your knees in relief at the sight. God bless Donnie and his ingenuity. As you continued further in you caught sight of Raph and Mikey lounging on the couch. Mikey was upside down, half on the couch and half off it. Several fans surrounded him and he looked relaxed. You were half sure he was asleep. Raph was struggling a little more, lying flat on his stomach and shuffling every five minutes. You decided not to disturb them. You took a look at the dojo and saw Leo meditating- or rather- attempting to meditate. His eyes snapped open the second he felt your presence and he shifted, standing and walking over to greet you.
“When did you get here?”
“Literally five minutes ago. I’m sorry for not texting, but it’s just…” You tugged again at the front of your top and breathed out heavily, signifying your exhaustion. Leo nodded in agreement.
“Don’t worry, you can stay. This heat is starting to get outta hand.” Leo seemed to register your clothing choice only then and awkwardly moved his gaze back up so as to be respectful. You weren’t the type to usually wear such showy clothing and it had taken him by surprise for a second, he had a vague feeling your apartment didn't have an ac unit if you had resorted to going out of your comfort zone. He frowned, wondering if he could ask Donnie to lend you a fan. Knowing his little brother he’d probably offer to the second he saw you. You smiled and gestured to where Donnie’s lab was.
“I’ll go bug Donnie. Um… If you need a fan in here I think Mikey has a couple spares.” You chuckled and Leo sighed heavily, no doubt cursing Mikey for hogging them all.
You padded towards the lab. There was a hopeful muted whirring sound that told you Donnie’s lab was going to be colder than the rest of the lair and you hurried your footsteps. Sweat was already collecting down the back of your neck again. You entered slowly. Donnie was hunched over at his worktop, seemingly trying to break off a rusty screw from a spare part. You knocked on the wall to let him know you were there.
“Hey, Donnie.”
Donnie swivelled around immediately. “Hey y/n. What brings you here?” You took a few more steps in and were hit by a rush of cool air. You spotted the fan-like device behind you and breathed out in relief. “That. That’s what brings me here. Oh my god that feels so good.” Donnie tried not to smile. His eyes very slowly dropped to your clothing choice and it took a minute to register what exactly you had on. The amount of skin showing was the complete opposite to what he’d expected to see and he struggled to reconcile with it for a moment before swallowing and hurriedly looking down. He fidgeted with the spare part in his hands. “You’re uh- well, you’re free to stay in here. I’m just working on something.”
You gratefully bounced over to the spare seat and rolled it closer to where Donnie was sitting so you’d be in line with the cold air too. You shuffled your hips back on the stool, collapsing forward with your head on your arms on his worktop. It was fortunately cold, you refrained from rubbing your cheek against it. A pleased sound escaped you. “This is heaven. I should’ve come down here sooner…”
Donnie was trying not to look, he really, really was, but your top rode up when you’d flopped forward on his desk and revealed a strip of skin between your top and shorts. It sparkled with a thin sheen of sweat. Your thighs shifted on the seat to space out a little and Donnie very determinedly returned to his work. The spot where you’d pressed your face warmed slightly after a while and you huffed, lifting your face from your arms so you could swivel around on your stool and face the fan, leaning your back against the edge of the desk. The cool air got rid of the sticky feeling temporarily. You pulled down the already treacherously low neckline of your top in an attempt to get the air to hit your chest. The sweat slicked valley between your tits glistened in the sterile white lighting of the lab. Your nipples showed through your top due to the contrasting temperatures and Donnie had completely lost focus. Who was he kidding? Now that he’d noticed, he couldn’t exactly un-notice. It was like trying not to notice got him to notice harder. Way harder. You tilted your head back to take a look at what he was doing and he froze halfway through his half assed tinkering.
“You hot?”
Donnie almost choked. Then he computed the questioning tone to your voice and shook himself out of it with a grimace.
“I’m fine. We’re actually supposed to do better with hotter temperatures. Turtles’ basking temperatures in the wild, especially Trachemys scripta are meant to be in the 90s, Fahrenheit wise.”
He was trying to tell you the information as casually as he normally would, but internally he was struggling. New York was going through a heatwave and it was a given that you’d dress to combat it but he was malfunctioning every time you held your hair up off your sweaty neck or tugged the front of your top. Any more of that and he was about to lose it. You nodded. Suddenly you scooted closer to the purple turtle, reaching to link your arm with his. You were still facing the opposite direction, but you leaned back to talk to him better.
“You feel cold! That’s so unfair. I’ve been sweating my ass off, Don.”
Donnie was stock still. Your tits were pressing up against his arm. Your slightly sticky skin was flush with his. The side of your thigh knocked against his own. Your voice had a pouty, whiny tone to it that sent shivers through his body. He prayed to every deity he knew of and then some that he wouldn’t lose it. What had you said? Something about… what was unfair? You looking like that was unfair. Get a grip Donnie, he mentally chided himself. He swallowed down the excess saliva in his mouth. Shit. Respond. She asked a question, now it’s your turn. All you, Donnie. Respond.
“Mikey put Orange crush in the freezer. We could go grab one,” Donnie murmured. His voice had come out lower than normal. You nodded, detangling your arm from Donnie’s and pushing yourself up.
“Sweet!”
Donnie was never recovering. You were sitting on his bed, eating slushy-textured orange crush and talking about your latest uni assignment and the movie adaptation of a comic you both liked. Donnie couldn’t tear his eyes away. You. On his bed. In next to nothing. His blanket was between your thighs. Those sheets were going to smell like you after you left and oh shit. Oh crap. Donnie was actually getting hard. He hurriedly stood up, saying something about needing the bathroom and leaving you there with the trailer to the movie you had both been talking about playing in the background.
Donnie slammed the door shut and turned on the shower. The cold water did nothing. The thought of your nipples showing through your top had him dropping then and there. Why had you been so touchy today? Logically it would’ve made more sense for you to stay as far away as possible to minimise the heat. He groaned. The memory of your shiny chest and your pleased sighs when the cold air of the fan had hit you had him twitching. His face burned and he cursed a thousand times. This was so inconvenient.

Donnie returned with a very complicated expression on his face to find you with a glass of water. You immediately offered it to him with a concerned expression on your face. “You okay? Drink some water if you’re not feeling well.”
Donnie sat back down next to you and took the water. He stared down at it, almost guilty for a second. “Thank you. You didn’t need to-“
“Don’t be silly. Drink.” I also grabbed us some chips. Mikey was about to take the last bag.” You pushed the open bag towards him and his eyes flickered up to meet yours. Yeah, he was a goner. Thank goodness he’d just stood under the cold water until his problem had dissipated or he definitely would never have been able to look you in the face again. You sidled up to him to grab a couple chips yourself. Donnie sighed. One of these days he swore he was going to man up and tell you how he felt. Maybe when it was less hot.
A/N Hope you enjoyed! Lmk if this should be a thing
which one is your favorite turtle? and your least favorite? i love your writing btw!!!
Hi anon, tysm!!!😚
This one's kind of hard to answer because I love them all for different reasons. When I was younger and watched the 2012 version I was a hugeee Leo girl, but I think that chilled out a little w age. Right now I'd say Donnie is who I'm partial to, his role is so so important and still super overlooked in most tmnt iterations, not to mention he's a sweetheart. He's useful not just because of his intelligence but also the way he supports his brothers emotionally. I love Mikey because of The Last Ronin and how he's a really emotionally aware character. Mikey always makes me smile and I just like that he wears his heart on his sleeve, his honesty is such a good model and he's such a strong character. With Raph I kinda relate to him and the way he's not only a tough guy but an incredibly loyal and heartfelt one (actions>>>words). He's a really good representation of a character with strong emotions without outright antagonising those. I'd say Leo is the one I'm least focused on (I probably burnt out all my attention when I was a kid lmaoo) but I love his character no less than the others, I genuinely think only Leo has what it takes to be the leader. In the 07 movie I like that Leo's struggles between what's right and what's wrong are depicted because it made his character so much more than 'the leader'. But yeah all of them are super cool. Thank you for asking anon!

Mikey
The two of you never got along well, for some reason the orange turtle’s excessive energy and insistence that you join in on ridiculous things just irked you. He equally disliked you downing on his fun, finding the way you rolled your eyes at his antics and your sarcastic quips irritating beyond belief; he felt like you were judging him for every little thing he was doing, whether that be eating or playing a game or training.
Mikey is utterly frustrated by your lack of amusement with him. The intensity of your gaze makes him feel perceived, and he hates it. You dislike his disregard for cleanliness on occasion, the messiness he’s prone to pisses you off, especially when you don’t particularly enjoy sitting on crumb covered surfaces. Mikey loathes the way you’re so friendly with his brothers, but seem to have an issue with him and only him. Deep down it’s based on insecurity, he’s afraid of being perceived as creepy or gross and constantly tries to put himself in the ‘harmless’ role; Mikey tries to be the one all about fun and if people dislike him he feels a weird sort of anxiety about it.
Despite trying to disregard it, Mikey is affected by the idea and gets into his head to the point where it amplifies the perceived negative feelings you have towards him. The tension bubbles up and eventually, you’re put in a very charged situation…
Mikey stormed into the room after you, huffing in frustration. You weren’t even listening to him. You took one look at him and dismissed him as beneath you, as though he were something you’d found on the bottom of your shoe and you wanted to throw away the pair.
“Mikey, quit fucking following me. I told you, I don’t need you accusing me of shit.”
“Accusing? Dude, I’m literally trying to have a conversation like a normal person. You’re the one making it hard to.”
“You’re so- no I’m not!” You scoffed at him, crossing your arms and glaring at him with that look he despised so much. Mikey took some steps closer, throwing his arms up to emphasise his irritation and his helplessness. He pointed at you.
“See? That’s exactly what I’m talking about. You never liked me from the start, you suck the fun out of everything. I’m just trynna chill and you come along and-and- make that face at me. Well. Forgive me if my kinda fun is not to your liking, your highness.” He sarcastically titled you, putting on a mocking accent. You groaned, looking at him with such disdain that he took another step forward to get right in your face and glare back.
“This is what I hate about you. You make everything about the way you see things. A look? Really? I mean, seriously, how the fuck is that a reason to hate me?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know what you’re doing, brah.”
“Shut up. Could you just shut it for a single second? All you do is get in my face and get in my way and make shit up about some sorta look. You’re so annoying. God, I didn’t find you that annoying at first but lately you’ve been driving me up a fucking wall.”
Mikey took another step closer. Both of you were breathing hard. Somewhere in his gaze he looked wounded, like your words had struck a sore spot. You hadn’t hated him at first. Fuck. The way you were looking at him now made him feel heady and stupid and annoyed and sad and suddenly he was kissing you, pushing you up against the wall and caging you in. You were kissing back.
Mikey rolled his hips, the thick stretch of his cock stirring your insides and producing the most obscene squelches. You were on your back on top of his bed, sheets crumpled beneath you. The tension between the two of you had built to a point where it had bypassed angry sex. Mikey was whimpering at the feel of your warm, tight pussy clamping down around the length of his dick, his arms were shaking and he could barely hold himself up on top of you. You were moaning into the crook of his neck. He’d been dribbling precum from his tip before he’d even pushed an inch into you and you could feel the creamy swab of his head hitting deep each time he pushed his hips down. Your pussy was soaking, you’d never known you were capable of getting this wet; the pearly semi-translucent liquid had long since coated the insides of your thighs and smeared onto Mikey’s thighs too. And not just his thighs, you were dripping onto his sheets with each slow thrust, shuddering at the feeling of a thousand nerve endings firing at once. You were certain you couldn’t form words if you tried, twitching and bucking your hips up to meet the way he fucked into you.
“Ah- fuck. Pretty. Look at me, pretty. Please, please look at me.” One of Mikey’s hands slid down to cup your face, looking down to watch the way his cock stretched you out as he sank into you before looking back up to your face with a pleading, helpless expression.
“Mi-key- Ohmygod, I” You were slurring your words, drunk off the delicious way his dick filled you up and made your gummy walls squeeze down to glue him to you.
“You don’t hate me now, right? You’re not- not- mad?” Mikey pressed his forehead to yours, screwing his eyes shut and gasping out a moan as he felt your legs try to wrap around him and keep him close.
“No ‘m not mad. ‘M sorry. I wasn- ohhh fuck, I didn’t mean to.” You had tears at the corner of your eyes, clutching onto him for dear life as you felt the pleasure building up in your lower stomach. Mikey felt the way you tensed and your words brought him to the edge so quickly he felt winded. He increased the pace of his thrusts, pounding into your poor, spasming pussy in desperation. You don’t hate him, you didn’t judge him, he hadn’t done anything wrong. You even felt sad about the way he’d held such a negative view of you, sniffling as he fucked you so messily. You didn’t even care about the messiness, too focused on the way his plastron was brushing against your nipples and the sound of his desperate groans. Without warning Mikey slammed right up into you, the friction breaking the delicate tension that had been building in your lower gut and making your walls clamp down hard as you came. He thrusted once, twice, frantic little convulsions. His cum overflowed, dribbling out around where his flushed base was balls deep and onto the sheets below. Panting and tuckered out, he nuzzled into you and kissed the corners of your eyes. It was safe to say the hate had dispersed a little.
Leo
Leo had been skeptical of you ever since you’d been roped in on one of their missions. It had been an accident, but to him you’d handled it recklessly, choosing to fight instead of run and hide the second they’d been able to cover you.
In Leo’s eyes everything about you is just wrong, you talk back to him, have attitude for days and seem to want to get on his nerves on purpose. He’d even caught you laughing about how uptight he was with Raph, and you hadn’t even had the courtesy to stop when he’d made his presence known with a more than unimpressed look. You had just smirked, tilting your chin up with a smug, amused sort of expression that drove Leo crazy. You never listen.
You hate the way Leo acted like he had a rod permanently up his ass. He had told you off the very first day you’d met, and you’d felt embarrassed and anxious and that humiliated feeling had stuck with you. You hadn’t even done anything wrong. Leo’s pretentiousness pisses you off. Leo finally gets fed up with your brattiness and decides you need some teaching…
“Fuck- you!” You squealed at the way Leo flicked his tongue and latched onto your clit, the leader in blue had been eating you out for the past thirty minutes. You were gushing, unable to move to squeeze your thighs together with the way his heavy hands pushed your legs apart without effort. Leo pulled away, spit soaking your already soaked pussy. Your wetness had dripped down his chin and it glistened, mocking you with its vulgarity.
“Ah-ah. That’s not how you talk to me. Try again.” Leo dipped his head back down, kitten licking your folds before shoving his tongue in your pulsing cunt. The way he slurped at you, attempting to gouge out your insides with his tongue, forcing your thighs apart and stilling even the idea of movement made you whimper and try to wriggle your hips to get him to fuck you with his mouth. You had tears at the corners of your eyes with how long he’d denied you orgasm, your pride had been thoroughly shattered and you were whining his name.
“Leo, Leo, please! You’re so- so mean. You’re always so mean, I hate’t” You clawed at his hand on your thigh, trying to hold it, to get him to be sweet to you for once, to stop being so fucking stern and apologise. Leo spat into your pussy, licking once more to spread the wetness around. He pulled away when he heard your babbling and the way you sounded so teary, brow furrowed in confusion at your words; not once had Leo heard you sound like that, not once in the last half hour had you cracked like this.
“I’m mean? What happened to all the times you’ve treated me like a joke? I’m trying to be a good leader and you…” Leo blew a thin stream of cool air onto your hot, messy pussy as if to try to soothe the overstimulation you were feeling “…you try to argue with me on everything. You do it on purpose.” Leo sounded a little bitter, but he focused on slowly kissing the wet insides of your thighs. He couldn’t be petty. That was so stupid. He was meant to be the mature one, the one in control and yet bitterness bubbled up uncontrollably. You shivered when he blew at you, tendons in your thighs twitching under Leo’s hold.
“You were- were mean first. You got mad at me for- fuck- no reason.”
Leo pressed a sloppy kiss to your clit, causing your hips to buck up as best they could. He frowned. “I did, huh.” He pushed up, slowly kissing up your lower stomach, up your abdomen, in the valley between your tits. A teardrop had broken and rolled down your cheek, you sniffled and squirmed under his firm hold, needy and overwhelmed. Leo breathed out, feeling a little twist in his stomach and not just from the raging hard on he’d been sporting since he tasted you. His dick was throbbing, he’d dropped the second he pried your legs apart and had been painfully hard as he finger fucked you to get you dripping down his wrist. Leo felt his irritation dissipating at the way you looked so vulnerable, and he knew you weren’t lying with how out of character it was for you to act like this. He reached down to slap his cock against your clit a couple times, groaning lowly at how good it felt. You whimpered. He leaned down to kiss your cheek, kiss your temple and find your hand so he could hold it. “I’m sorry. If you were just- ah- acting out in retaliation I can’t blame you. It’s my duty to look out for everyone. I didn’t mean to hurt you, sweets.” You sniffled, wiggling your hips to try to get him inside already. You pulled him close, eyebrows pinched up wantonly as you pressed your lips to his in an open mouthed, heated kiss. You could taste yourself on his tongue. Leo slid his tip along your folds, wetting himself with your slick and catching his head in your hole a few times; you both simultaneously moaned as Leo’s reddened, swollen tip slipped in. You gasped when he began to push his hips in, grinding your own in little circles to attempt to fit his length in your sopping pussy. He involuntarily thrusted, accidentally pushing himself all the way in and snapping his hips to connect his base to the hot, sticky mess that was dripping at the base of your cunt; you gasped and moaned into him, tears slipping down your cheeks at how good it felt.
“Oooohgod- Leo-“ you scratched at his arm with your free hand. He held your other hand in his own, an innocent gesture compared to the utterly depraved filth going on where your bodies connected. You gripped his hand tight when he began to move. “I’m shooo- fuck! sorry. I’m sorry for being so difficult, I’ll be good. Gon’ be so good.” Leo just whimpered in response to your words, feeling himself prematurely spurt a little. Yeah, all was definitely forgiven.
Raph
Raph is a hothead and a hardass for the most ridiculous of situations, and your rivalry started when you disagreed on how Leo needed to arrange the patrol rotas. In the end your schedule won out and Raph was left fuming over it. In his mind, you’re just an annoying little obstacle, something that needs to be weeded out. He finds any and all reason to argue with you, hating the way you walk and assert your ridiculous opinions and just you in general.
You find his irrational thinking infuriating, you both argue about the smallest of things. You glare at him more often than not and he tries using his height and size to intimidate you, looming over you and getting all up in your face when he’s angry. You especially hate when he does that and flaunts his size and strength in comparison to you, like he’s trying to make you feel small and weak. You both reach boiling point and things get heated…
Raph had been driving you up the wall all day. All week. All month- in fact, he’d been doing so for more than a month and hadn’t let up. He was petty, rage filled and seemed to think you were his outlet. You hated that. So why were you letting him now drive his dick deep into your guts, your face smushed against the pillows and ass up for him to grab onto? You couldn’t even remember how you got here, one minute you’d been yelling at one another and the next Raph had thrown you onto the nearest bed and pushed you into it. Raph was completely lost in the tightness of your pussy, stuffing you full with his stupidly big dick. He was so big inside you that your gooey walls were struggling to squeeze around him, fluttering helplessly to accommodate the sheer size of him. The red turtle had needed to prep you for god knew how long to even get to this point, and you’d been thoroughly fucked out before he’d even swiped his cock against the flooded mess between your legs. You were drooling into the pillow beneath you, helpless little ‘ah, ah’s torn brokenly from your throat every time Raph moved a centimetre. Raph groaned.
“Look at you. Makin’ me- shit, makin’ me have to go easy, sweetheart.” Raph pushed until the base of his cock was flush with the soaking, stretched entrance of your cunt. You let out a choked half-whine, scrabbling to clutch at something, anything that would ground you.
“Raph!“ You were whimpering. “You’re so big. I hate how you jus’ do that. I hachyou.”
Raph slowly pulled out until his tip was the only thing in your hot pussy. He looked down at the creamy ring around the base and the way his shaft was glossy with your wetness and almost came then and there. Cursing, he sloppily fucked back into you.
“You hate me. Yeah, I h-hate you too. Cocky lil’…” His words were cut off by the way your combined fluids dripped down onto the sheets. He slid one of his large, warm palms to your stomach to stabilise you and in the process felt the outline of his dick. He groaned, eyes wide and thighs shaking. “Fuck, you feel that? Me inside you. Not so high ’n mighty now, are we?” Raph’s hips stuttered and he slid his hand further down to rub at your clit as he rolled his hips into you again.
“I’ve got you right here.”
You were convulsing, two thrusts away from cumming on him. Your stomach felt weird, you reached back to clutch at him. He’d been trying to be gentle so as to not hurt your smaller frame but something in your gut was twisting in an unfamiliar way. “Raph, wait, pull out, I wanna- lemme- lemme sit on it. ‘Feels weird like this.”
Raph immediately complied, completely forgetting about any anger he was supposed to feel at the way you said ‘sit on it’. He repositioned so he was leaning against the headboard, large hands almost encircling your waist, thick fingers rubbing circles as you slowly sank down on him with a gasp. You began to grind your hips down the second he filled you to the hilt, tits bouncing as you tried in vain to ride him. He bucked his hips up in tandem, meeting your movements with his own little thrusts and stirring you up. His thumb moved to press to your clit and as he circled it you felt something similar to a dam breaking and a flood of cum. You spasmed, flopping forward on his plastron and squirting hard all over his lower half; you soaked the bed and his dick in the process. Raph fucked up into you the second he felt the gush of your pussy, stuffing you full of his thick, sticky cum immediately. It leaked out from you as you lay twitching atop him, and the two of you panted heavily. “Fuck- I didn’t know I could-“
“Guess you ain’t opposed to how big I am now, huh?” Needless to say with that Raph learned to be less of a brute and you learned to not mind how he used his size.
Donnie
Donnie is the most stubborn fool. He hated you the second you pointed out a flaw in one of his prototypes and took your constructive criticism as just criticism. What did you know about the kind of tech he dealt with? Nothing, and still you’d discovered an issue with his work. Donnie abandoned that project after that since he didn’t have an alternative go-around other than what you’d suggested, and he refused to use your criticism to improve his work.
He feels enormous amounts of disdain towards you after that. You equally hate his pompousness, he’s so condescending towards you without realising it. He throws shade left and right if you step a toe into his territory and you find it so frustrating. Eventually, you both can’t take the way your witty arguments bring up all kinds of pent up feelings…
“Again… just one more time…” Donnie’s glasses were askew and slightly cloudy, he was biting his lip as he looked down at where his cock filled your sloshing cunt. A nasty milky mixture of his and your cum had splattered across your thighs and he was struggling to keep his composure. He fucked into you, pushing your legs up so you were forced into a mating press of sorts. The stretch of his fat head probing your sticky insides was immeasurable, you were whining desperately. One of his tridactyl fingers moved down to your clit, teasingly rubbing in slow circles and building you up. You couldn’t even think, rocking your hips up to try and chase the feeling of him stuffing you.
“Ohmyfuckkk god- Don,” You babbled mindlessly, tensing up at the familiar feeling of your approaching orgasm. Donnie whimpered, groaning and panting in a way that made your pussy clench hard and flood once again. You squealed at the force of his dick hitting the spongy spot deep inside you, attempting to squirm up away from how good it felt, but Donnie wasn’t letting you move. He used his height to his advantage, tugging you down to meet his heavy, desperate thrusts as he rutted into you.
“Don’t- ah- don’t run. Can’t handle it?”
You whimpered, brow furrowing and eyebrows knitting together in frustration and arousal. “S-Shut up! Fuck, you’re so annoying. Self-important-“ you came before you could finish your sentence, convulsing and moaning into his shoulder. Donnie pulled out immediately, trying not to mourn the loss of your warm pussy clenching around him, angling your hips so he could watch your hole flutter around nothing. He watched, fascinated and struggling to not drool at the sight. His cock was twitching. It hit his lower plastron with a wet sound, a string of sticky arousal connecting from his tip to his stomach. You gasped as you came down from the sensations, weakly reaching up to try to grab hold of him; your nails dug into his forearm as your head lolled. Donnie cursed quietly, other hand reaching down to stroke himself with wet schlick sounds that made your face flush. You whined. “Donnie. Just. Fuck me properly.” He just nudged his precum-covered tip against your sensitive folds, mask ties resting on his chest and dropping down over you when he leaned over to get close again.
“You’re always telling me what to do… Shit, you’re so bossy. Think you know hahhh fuck- better than me?” Donnie’s voice cracked as he asked the question. He was gazing at how your pussy oozed when he pushed the head of his cock in. You whimpered, unable to respond with anything other than a shake of your head as Donnie eased himself back into your heat. You locked your legs around his hips; you were adamant on him staying inside this time, you’d had enough of the teasing and torment he’d been subjecting you to for the past hour and could only think about what it’d feel like to have him lose his already far gone composure if he came in you. He’d held himself back the last time and settled for desperately jerking his cum out onto your cunt rather than in it. He’d rambled something vaguely about refractory periods and used his fingers until he could fill you all the way up with him again. “Donnie, wan’ your cum. Please just stop teasing.” You had barely finished your sentence before the tall turtle slammed his hips to yours, thrusting into you with frantic plap-plap-plaps that had you moaning obscenely and clenching around him. You were still sensitive from your last orgasm and his needy thrusts were making your lower stomach tense and relax incredibly quick; you felt like he was trying to push you over the edge again. Donnie could feel the wetness coat him and he groaned as he clutched onto your hips and fucked you deep. He was wider at the base and it stretched you out each time his pelvis came into contact with yours; he bit his lip to keep from whining as he moved one of those huge, warm hands to your tits to pinch at your nipples and get you to buck your hips. You felt the second he started getting close, and tried squeezing him with your walls. Donnie cursed, creaming in you and completely crushing you into the mattress as he did so; he was utterly fucked out of his mind and the aftershocks sent little spasms through his body, he swore he went blind for a second. You had squirted, the overstimulation and feeling of him filling you up had made you leak pearly fluids all over Donnie’s lower stomach. He panted, half smiling and leaning down to kiss your forehead. He was so taking your advice more after this.
A/N I hope you guys like this! I'm not used to writing smut sooo yeah I have no clue how this turned out. Any interactions w the post are appreciated!(๑>•๑)φ

Tags: Bay!Donnie x reader, slow burn, down bad Donnie as always, both are emotionally inept, crappy punctuation, not proofread, inaccurate econ talk, withholding goodies for the actual release
Donnie parked in front of your dingy student apartment building, shifting in his seat and leaning across to open your door for you while you unbuckled. Your chest was warm where it had touched his forearm. A tired walk later and you were back home. No bad bruises from the mission, thankfully, but you had a sneaking suspicion your hair was covering up a hefty splodge of purple. The shower washed away the sweat that had collected down your back. You towelled yourself off, flopping down onto your sheets completely bare and exhausted. A dog barked down the street. The tick of the boiler cooling down set a familiar pace to the evening, the cool night air flowing in from the old fire escape window and a warm, soft glow from the lamps you had everywhere spilling out over the floor. You reached for the neatly folded pile of clothing on the bed, hardly moving to tug on a pair of panties and a shirt before unceremoniously rolling over to sit up and locate your laptop and phone. You took a look at your phone screen and were met with the sight of several notifications: an email, a few from the group chat from Leo, and the latest from Donnie.
You scrambled off your bed, sitting down on your desk chair and turning on your monitor. You winced at the sudden glare from the screen and blindly fumbled for your glasses to put them on. A couple of clicks later you were staring at yourself in the grainy video feed of a zoom call, preparing to join. Donnie had called you like this countless times and every time felt just as nerve wracking as the first, the anticipation of seeing him got your gut all twisted. You clicked once more and were met with the usual sight of Donnie in his chair. The blue glow from his nook of monitors cast his face in soft shadows, you could see the other screens in the background as he scooted his chair closer. He was stripped of his usual gear.
You had a stressed expression on your face that made Donnie want to simultaneously laugh and fix it immediately. He swallowed, focusing on the material you’d provided him. He’d spent a while familiarising himself with the concepts you had to learn, and with his affinity for the mathematical sides of things he’d whizzed through it without issue. You on the other hand had always been the more creative sort, thinking largely in complex, abstract branches that looped around than focused linear, cognitions.
You smiled. “You split it so you have 1 grape, 2 grapes, 3 grapes and 3 more grapes. These are going to represent hypothetical market shares; 10%, 20% and so on, and you have to square these numbers.”
Donnie squiggled little ‘2’s that looked more like mirrored ’s’s next to the poorly drawn grapes.
“Precisely. Now I won’t further insult your intellectual prowess by continuing, I think you got the point. Tell me how you tried applying it to this question.”
The bruised-eye-blue of predawn clouded the sky and you had long since submitted your work, started completing the essay, and yielded to drowsiness. Donnie himself was still awake. The long caffeinated nights and endless energy drinks had given him a sort of nocturnal ability that he found useful. He was watching you slip away on his screen. The lightening sky was filtering in through your curtains and leaving your room with a comforting fuzzy quality that bathed your figure in deep blueish grey shadows. The clutter around his setup had increased overnight; a box of pop tarts was tipped over on his desk, several charts lay discarded with brown espresso rings staining their diagrams and an old knitted blanket Raph had made was hanging over the armrest of his chair. He was speaking at a quieter volume so as to not stir you from your imminent slumber.
“-and bam! I got it. I knew it would be awesome when I printed the first prototype, but the detail on the final model really exceeded my expectations, inter alia. But enough about me. All done?”
A/N My possibly favourite part of this fic is right after this snippet. I don't know how long I should make this, but I'm aiming for at the very least 15k which is no small task so it might take a while. But in the meantime I have other fics in progress! Hope you forgive me for the teaser (๑>•๑)φ
