bernie is verbally begging his supporters to vote for hillary and ensure a liberl presidency and hillary blatantly mentioned a promise to include bernie in her policies and gave him the credit for permanently changing the landscape for the party and his impact on young voters and bernie babies still wont get a grip and vote
I am like look kids this isn’t a fucking game. This is not the time for some whiney baby protest vote. We need to stop the goddamn apocalypse. Voting third party is as good as a vote for trump. Trump winning is the beginning of the end.
And I’m like: Look. I’m not a fucking kid and I know exactly what I’m doing. Bernie isnt begging. He’s always said he wouldn’t and couldnt tell us who to vote for. Bernie has his reasons for doing what he did but he always said this movement wasn’t about him.
Voting for the lesser of two evils is what got us into this position of having the most universally distrusted and disliked Democratic candidate in history. The Democratic party had a choice and they chose to run a universally reviled, corrupt warhawk, instead of the most trusted and respected politician currently in office. If you bet on a second place race horse, do you get mad at the people who bet on the leading horse that got shot in the leg and ended up last?
If you actually trust Hillary to keep any of her platform concessions you haven’t been paying attention to her record. If you fear Donald Trump more than you fear Hillary, you also haven’t been paying attention. All the things that you’re afraid of from Trump, Hillary has already done.
I’m old enough to remember pre-NAFTA (a Clinton policy btw) America where, despite H.W.’s incompetence, we had an excess of jobs and workers actually had employers competing for them, not workers competing for employment. And i also remember her calling the TPP the “gold standard” of trade deals only a few months ago. I remember the racist “superpredator” speech (which she still won’t even acknowledge was racist) and the disastrous Clinton crime bill which that speech was supporting, a bill that led to the mass incarceration of PoC and the resulting decay of many communities. I remember her voting for the Defense of Marriage Act and being one of the last Democrats to support marriage equality (in 2013). I remember her vote for the Iraq war and I remember her calling Iraq “a business opportunity.” I remember her deporting thousands of Central American children. I remember her pushing for regime change in Libya. I know she’s pushing for a no-fly zone in Syria and more military intervention. Both are now ISIS strongholds. I remember her pushing fracking as a “clean” energy alternative. She has been on the wrong side of every important issue in the last 20 years until public sentiment became so against her interests that she had to give in or lose all political credibility with her constituents.
Moreover, I have watched her collude with the DNC to funnel money into her campaign. I have watched the DNC collude with the media to ensure her coronation. I have watched them suppress voters, tamper with registration, close polling stations and deliberately provide misinformation. I have watched her campaign pay a million dollars to have trolls try to surpress Bernie’s online support through CorrectTheRecord. I have watched her supporters cheer on one of their own who attacked Bernie groups by posting child pornography to get them shut down. I have watched the director of the FBI recite a list of crimes regarding Hillary’s personal email server and then recommend no charges, despite adding that anyone else would probably be prosecuted. I watched this happen just days after Bill met with Loretta Lynch, head of the DoJ, on a private plan and afterwards, I watched Lynch disemble in front of a congressional inquiry into the matter and refuse to say whether she would be accepting a job in Hillary’s cabinet. I have watched Hillary pointing fingers at Russia like it’s the 80s and the Cold War is still relevant. I’ve watched her push for increased aid to Israel and support their illegal occupation of Palestine and the resulting genocide (another reason she supported the destabilization of Syria). I have watched her receive millions from the Saudi government, one of the worst for human rights abuses, especially regarding women and LGBTQIA+.
Yes. Trump is a racist, misogynist piece of crap but he was also on the DNC payroll. Presumably to make Hillary somewhat palatable until people actually responded to him and his ego took over; but people STILL hate her more. Because she is untrustworthy and a corporate shill. Trump doesn’t even have the support of most of the GOP and his whackadoo ideas will not get past our system of checks and balances. The Republicans have spent the last two years demonstrating how effective the Congress can be at shutting down any legislation.
So no, I’ll be voting my conscience and voting for Jill Stein, a presidential candidate who actually supports progressive issues, not one who just pays them lip service but whose actual record of support is atrocious, in every sense of the word. I’ll be focused on electing down ballot progressives to make sure that there is a Congress in place who will block disastrous bills by EITHER of these candidates. I’ll be voting to open up the dialogue to real progressive platforms by giving a third party a voice in future elections. I’ll be voting to do away with the status quo, two-party system that gave us this illusion of choice.
That’s what Hillary supporters don’t get. The Revolution isn’t about Bernie. It’s about the people waking up and taking back both the power and the responsibility by stepping outside the broken system we have now. And trust me, there are millions of people, people who are gay, trans, black, Hispanic, and Muslim, (you know, the people who are supposed to be afraid of Trump) who agree with me.
Bottom line: if Trump gets elected, the damage he causes will mostly be here at home where we have the power to fight it. If Hillary gets elected, it will be the continuation of our horrific, bloodthirsty foreign policies and the whole world will suffer.
Worst case scenario: Trump= Civil War II; Hillary= WW3. Which is actually worse?

Okay, I’ll go ahead an vote for the person who rigged the primaries and put our national security at risk with a private server.
The DNC handed Trump the presidency the day they decided to rig the system, and I will not take responsibility for that.

because he’s been essentially forced to sell out to a candidate and an establishment that he never supported in the first place and that has been working against him from the very beginning even when it was clear that he had support from the people and may have been their candidate of choice had he not been inhibited by his own party. just because you think selling out is the right thing to do doesn’t make someone a “baby” for being extremely upset at the DNC’s total lack of regard for democracy.

Considering how often Hillary lies and all the shady shit she’s done over the years, it really isn’t all that surprising that “bernie babies” are skeptical and considering sitting out on this election. Just because Bernie is backing her, doesn’t mean everyone should immediately feel comfortable voting for her. I’ve seen so many people who are like “omg all anyone cares about is Bernie and what he’s doing. Think for yourselves.” And now that Bernie supporters are going against what Bernie says, yall wanna complain and start the fear mongering??lmao
Not to mention: voting for a third party is a vote for either candidate depending on if you ask a Trump or a Hillary supporter. Insane amounts of people do not see how our system is designed to delude us into thinking we only have two options. Use your voice, the only thing stopping third party candidates from winning is you believing and telling other people that they have no chance, and that’s exactly what the powers at be want. Don’t vote for a candidate if you disagree with them. Advocate for a more fair and representative system instead of blaming other voters who disagree with you for the shitty candidates the system produces 98% of the time. You can stop having to vote for the lesser evil every four years, but not if you’re gonna blame dissenters to the system.

because Hillary has a track record of not keeping her promises, as well as deporting immigrants, being a warhawk, advocating for fracking and disastrous trade deals, and advocating policy positions that helped elevate Donald Trump to where he is now (as well as the rest of the 1%); not to mention that she is still in the pockets of big corporations and has always been. she is an oligarch, and voting for the lesser of two evils is still evil.

Yeah, it’s like, the DNC rigged the elections and made our votes worthless to promote this fake prodigy of a woman who under federal investigation will not be charged with breaking national security laws, and a woman who mocked the movement and what we stood for so she could whip and nae nae on stage with hot sauce to her half high school gym filled crowd. Maybe these babies have moved passed Bernie and understand the problem isn’t with Hilary, but with the establishment that gives us a false sense of reality. Here’s another reality check, the popular vote is a lie. The electoral college chooses the president, and they may vote for whomever they want regardless of the people’s voice.

And you think calling people with differing political convictions than you “bernie babies” is going to change their minds.
