domestic life with van palmer ! van palmer x reader

brrrr my head is so fuzzy and I'm so warm just thinking about spending your days with Van- your partner, in your apartment with your orange kitty!!

Your apartment is mostly decorated with things you both like, her vhs and movie posters, and the things you love all over the house. having matching mugs, keychains, silverware, pajamas, robes - literally everything.

I don't think Van is a morning person- she prefers staying in bed with you in the morning watching the sun hit your face and shine the whole room- just enjoying these small moments.

Fridays are for takeout and movie nights. When it's her night, they want to show you movies that you haven't watched that she loves and only she knows about.

Cuddling together on the couch with your cat in the middle of you sleeping peacefully. She definitely was hesitant about getting a cat- but then all she thought about was taking care of him with you- and he's like your son, she loves it.

Dancing around the kitchen late at night after having some drinks - her holding your waist and twirling you around just so that she could kiss you right after.

She loves the small moments- they are very important to her - she loves when you're cooking together, washing the dishes, cleaning the house, decorating.

Van coming home with a snack from a coffee shop and magazines about movies and about your favorite interest because if there's one thing van does is listen to her girl.

Listens to you talk about everything that you like and she always know - knows your favorite food, your favorite bands/singers, and even your most niche interest you thought she didn't know about.

You reading that said magazine while she takes a shower and dresses more comfortable clothes, only to meet you in the couch and be attacked with kisses.

She opens every door for you, wants to pay for everything and will pay even if you grab her arm and tell her no. Brushes your hair and even learns how to do your favorite hairstyle, walks by the side of the road so you won't, grabs your bags while shopping, drives the car...

If she gets home late, and she sees you sleeping in the couch with the TV on she'll get ready real fast and then turns off the TV and picks you up- bridal style, puts you in bed and kisses your forehead. She hates to see you uncomfortable and you waiting for her even tho you're clearly tired.

" honey I've told you to go to bed when I'm late- you always complain about your back in the morning " she says while you got more comfortable in bed, but you just cuddle into her and put your face on her chest. " I wann' wait for you " you mumble and she sighs kissing your head. " I know... I know you do pretty "

If you want to decorate the house or buy some more furniture- she guarantees she can build it or restore it but she gets frustrated after an hour and gives up, only to try it again the next day.

When she does it shes all cocky. " See, i told you i could do it- im handy " you chuckle and shake your head. " Sure honey"

Honestly its just a dream living with Van and sharing a home with her. Van makes your days brighter and you couldn’t be more happy about it.

van who usually hates musicals because their only experience with them so far has been the shitty songs sang in children’s media and fuckin’ cats when she was seven

van who needs extra credit for a class real bad and by the grace of some god, gets it when their teacher offers bonus points in exchange for viewing the school production of ‘grease’

van who decides that of all the musicals she’s ever suffered through, ‘grease’ isn’t all that bad and that they actually can be bothered to go see it, at the very least for some extra credit

van who sits down expecting to be bored out of their mind for a couple hours and already dreading it, but ends up finding it impossible to tear her eyes away from the gorgeousness that’s on stage playing sandy

van who gives a standing ovation at curtain call and is then on a hunt for a copy of the same exact program that they told the usher they absolutely did not want upon arrival

definitely not so she can learn the name of her new absolutely not crush though! just for proof so they can get the stupid extra credit, which they didn’t think about before man, come on just give her the stupid program!

van who can’t stop thinking about pretty, pretty sandra dee, and how much they want to meet the girl that played her. van the movie connoisseur who is more than used to falling in love with actresses, but always through a screen, and therefore safe from all the nerves of pining after a gorgeous, cool girl like those actresses. until you, that is.

you who seemed to embody the role to the point that you became her. you who van is certain should be on a silver screen or in hollywood or even broadway because she’s simply that taken. nevermind if you think that you’re less than average looking or look nothing like film sandy. it’s you, you who could probably make even fuckin’ cats bearable to get through.

van who swallows their pride and nerves two days later during study hall, at least six different times, before you indirectly make her feel better after getting scolded by the librarian for singing with your fellow nerd friends

van who realizes that you’re not all that cool, and actually kind of a dork, and decides that this is even better. van who watches you look so silly, not caring who sees or hears, and only laughing when you’re scolded for the singing she knows is purposefully bad because she’s heard you sing and thinks you sound like a deepwater siren when you’re actually trying

van who goes over to compliment you, but is so movie nerd brained that they can’t help but bring up the ‘grease’ movie, and ends up in a debate over which is better, the film or stage show. you who argues for your beloved stage musical with just as much vigor and passion that she does for her (very newly) precious movie.

van who gets you hook, line and sinker with their proposal of a viewing of ‘grease’ to settle the score and is highly pleased with themself after you not only agree, but invite her over to your house before they can come up with a reasonable excuse for why the plans that they set up can’t be held at their own home.

van feels like she’s walked into an alternate universe where her blood is pumped by broadway shows instead of hollywood movies upon entering your bedroom, with all your walls covered in posters and home printed playbills upon one real one littered with autographs.

van who comes over to watch grease and stays for the sound of music and the lion king. van who would’ve stayed for the wizard of oz, but couldn’t help kiss you in the middle of ‘somewhere over the rainbow’ because you just looked too cute not to. van who promptly runs home after this, but conveniently leaves their sweater behind, leaving you with the perfect excuse to seek her out at school.

van who musters up the courage to ask you out for real after three more weeks of weekend movie nights and sleepovers.

van who never thought they’d find someone who didn’t just tolerate their constant chattering about the movies they showed you. van who never thought they’d meet someone who could get just as passionate about musicals as they do about movies.

van who begrudgingly rewatches stupid ‘cats’ and finds it just as sucky but a thousand times more bearable with a cute girl’s head resting on her shoulder and humming directly into her ear.

One thing I will always appreciate about Wizard101 is how thoroughly voice acted it is for a MMORPG that came out in 2008.

Every npc you talk to, side quest or otherwise, has voice acted lines of dialogue. Almost every boss in the game, even some of the most forgettable guys have at least a voice acted one liner before you fight them.

You have a narrator character that often times quips in and describes your character's actions or the environment around you and even they are a deep lore character on their own

Say what you will about the game. It has its share of issues I suppose but I still can't help but love it
