"I heard it was your birthday Bucky, so I got you something!"
“Mm?” Barnes looked up from the book he had been reading, setting it down to give Elise his full attention. “Where’d you hear that?” he asked, genuinely curious.
“A little different how with the TV?” She questioned and even went a step further by getting a notepad and pen and began to write things.
“And we still have radios, but they are less needed than TVs now or computers. I guess you heard everything from there right?” Seemed a lot easier and harder back then. Easier in terms of technology and harder in about everything else.
“Like the fact that it exists… the shows on it…” Bucky spared a glance at Elise as she started fiddling around with something. “Woah, is this an interview now? Am I writing your history report for you?” he asked, a small smirk twisting his lips.
“Not talking about the radio itself… like the machine,” Bucky continues to say. “I’m talking about what’s on radio, used to be that there were these programs on where they’d tell stories, almost like television, but without the screen. It was nice to gather around and listen, I guess… They don’t have that anymore, not really. Now it’s just talk shows and music.” He wiped a hand down his face. “Now I feel old. I see what Steve’s talking about.”
