Eridan doesn’t even try and fight unconsciousness now, and he smirks a bit as he feels hard and almost painful kisses pressed against his forehead. The past…week—day…how long was it? whatever— has thoroughly fucked with his head; his brain can’t seem to process pain anymore. Or maybe he was in so much pain that his body is shutting it out. Or maybe it’s the alcohol. Who cares, though, right…

Soon enough he falls asleep, or rather passes out, against Sollux. For a moment there’s an unsettling albeit genuine smile on his face, but it’s quickly erased as his consciousness fades.

“Well as long as he doesn’t.. actually try to chop his hand off or anything. I should probably go. We can do the movie thing another time.” He nods at Sollux, backing out of the kitchen. “Take care of him then.” Karkat turned around swiftly, exiting the kitchen, making his way to the door. He probably shouldn’t feel that nervous around those two - but together they just seem like a hazard. It would most likely be safer to keep his distance.

Sollux winds his arms around the Aquarius and keeps him in a close hold, tucking his chin against the crook of Eridan’s neck. A slow nod of acknowledgement follows Karkat’s words.

“I won’t let him chop his hand off. Actually, if push comes to shove then I’ll be the one chopping his hand off,” the robot responds dully, fingers raking through his matesprit’s hair. The gesture was almost affectionate, but there was an off-putting quality about it.

When Karkat leaves he hoists the male up and brings him upstairs, lowering him down onto the pile of blankets in a surprisingly gentle manner. Soon after he joins Eridan and wraps the sheet snugly around the both of them, idly noting that it doesn’t feel the same as if he were alive.

He stirs slightly when he feels his position change. Blinking drowsily, he looks around the room in a stupor, wondering how long he was out and how he got to where he's at. Suddenly, he notices Sollux's cold, metallic body next to him and he shivers-- and not just from the icy metal.

"Hey Sol..." he mumbles, words a little slurred. A dull, throbbing pain begins to creep from almost every corner of his body and it begins to cloud his vision. Like water boiling in a kettle, it keeps growing and growing until it spills out like steam and he's hit with the full blast of events of the previous day. Or days.

To say the least, it hurts like hell.
