Publication - Final (6/12)
Above is the final publication of our creative work. A collation of photography, text, models, sketches, drawings, programs, and reference.
The work embodies human production towards the future as a form of destruction. Our work is a dystopia of production.
Let us know what you think!

Studio Exercise - Week 11 (Disruption)
Cloud, Michelle and I played a recording of the sound of the crossing, over the sound of the beeper to disrupt when you can actually cross safely.
Filmed on instagram.
āInstagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. Originally, a distinctive feature was that it confined photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras. In August 2015, version 7.5 was released, allowing users to post photos captured in any aspect ratio. Users can also apply digital filters to their images. The maximum duration for Instagram videos is 15 seconds.ā
Instagram is the creative/ everyday/ uncreative platform for humans in this current day to share that all exists, all approaching and all that pre-existed. Memories, ideas, happenings.Ā
Instagram offers a platform of collaboration, and re-imagining the future.
Here are three PDF examples from last year. Some of the links no longer work and it is good to note they represent a range of marks.Ā

āInternet loveā shared vs. personal, intimate love.
Difference? Unaccounted for. Unknown. Misrepresented.
The over-use of heart emojis = human desensitization of emotion, understanding and appeal.
Ignorant and oblivious.
*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*Love*
Saturating love and hearts online with smart phones and social media daily.
*The heart shape* = symbolic sense of the centre of emotion, affection and love.
Love references an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment.
So much love, how can we show love when itās real?
How can we now define āloveā?
How can we show love when its passionate?
How can we describe love without merely associating it to an overused āpictureā?
When does too much love, become no love at all?
When does receiving little āloveā become a good thing?
How can you compare too much love vs. love not being shown enough?

Through experimentation; I discovered the determination to become the subject of what I believe.
Express my concern, as being apart of.
I aimed to encourage thinking by not only the ideas stimulated by my work, but the way in which I stress the idea, I enact on the situation, I grow and submerge within the actual situation Iām referring to.
The performative aspect was to epitomize the tireless amount of āloveā sent through emojis.
I immersed myself into a blank area. Surrounded by lit up heart lights, eliminating the room with red.

The sponge allowed for every last drop of paint to be squeezed out.
My own labour.
Nothing can be used forever and without change, damage, alteration and modification.
Tirelessly draining the paint. The resources. The meaning. The motif. The message.
All that I pushed for barely kindled senses. I longed for more to come out. Though the message remained constant.
Decline. Decline. Decline. Decline.
No more.
The misapplication and exhaustion of the sponge once soaked in paint. Now obsolete. Dry. Stale. Obsolete.

A glitch is a short-lived fault in a system.
The constant glitch broke down my every move.
Not one heart placed on the paper went unnoticed.
Inflating the human error in normalizing meaningful things. Ā
The sounds of constant smartphone keyboard clicking fast and repetitively created tension, strain and anxiety.
The application of mass-producing a heart, over-sharing a heart, overseeing the importance of love does not go unnoticed. Ā

The installations mood and lighting adds great intensity.
The dark setting ensures all else cannot cause distraction.

Major work final - performance piece/ installation work
āHeart Uā 2015 by Jordan Gogos
I videoed the installation work using a HD video camera so it captured the essence of all in and among the work.
The lighting adds drama, and throws off light on painted pieces.
My work consists of 3 mediums and components are compliment each other. The performative piece shown in the video, the hand painted scrolls of paper leaning on each other and the work as a whole.
Overall, I was extremely happy with the results of this project. Iāve never made a video work besides small experiments. Nor have I ever performed or painted.
I challenged myself and feel as though all my experiments and research contributed to the direction and vision of this work more than I anticipated.
Let me know what you think!
Major work final - final set upĀ
This is the work all set up. If it were to be put in a gallery, Iād want it set up like this in a dark room to embrace the glowing hearts.
This photo was taken on a Sony SLR alpha to make the photo look professional and crisp.
