“The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too.”
— Ernest Hemingway
There’s no way in hard-boiled hell Ernest Hemingway ever in his goddamn life said such a goddamn thing.
GenZ kids seem to think they're solving sexism, but all I see is more gender baggage, higher beauty standards, more objectification, more sexualization of young girls, and more pseudo-woke language for men to use to ignore the lived realities of women.
Me 2 myself, upon discovering some new media to consume: i will like this a normal amount :) it will be casual this time :) just some light entertainment :)

“I’m almost 50, and here is the best thing I have learned so far: every strange thing you’ve ever been into, every failed hobby or forgotten instrument, everything you have ever learned will come back to you, will serve you when you need it. No love, however brief, is wasted.” @louisethebaker on Twitter

DEPRESSION [VERB]
1. to put on your best outfit and feel like you’re dressing a wound.
— Andrea Gibson, from Lord of the Butterflies
I really believe there’s some sort of “emperor’s new clothes” phenomenon happening with Gen Z discoursers where they’re too afraid to question the logic of some of the discourse being thrown at them for fear of appearing to be unwoke so they just blindly parrot it not to be excluded by their peers

My mother had it. And my mother’s mother had it. They, they both had the gift. They always said I had it, but I never did. I never had it. They told me what it was like, they told me all about it. But now that I got it, I don’t think I want it.

Tumblr isn't social media, it's a habit. Like smoking. We're all gathering by the dumpster in the cold, reblogging posts.
