not a swiftie so there could be a lot of context i'm missing but this whole wedding is incredibly odd. was this event supposed to be public or private? why are photos so hard to find? (and the ones available are all inexplicably British paparazzi style photos of people in black cars either entering or leaving the premises?) what is this guest list-- I have never heard of most of these people, and the ones I have heard of, never seemed to be particularly close to her? correction: he gave her the necklace and then they were conveniently separated for years and there was a cast change and then bam, she is 30 and demonstrates nothing but enthusiastic consent to her uncle.

i would like daemyra a lot more if they just let rhaenyra harbor even a little bit of anger at daemon. a little sliver of awareness of what he did to her, as a treat. but my main problem is with the text itself, the way it loves the shock value of incest but god forbid, doesn't want its audience to feel creeped out. but without those moments it feels incomplete to me, like all the gory parts were edited out. I simply have never really bought the idea that the guy who married his niece waited respectfully until she was 18 and the only thing he did before that was give her a necklace :( that's all that happened guys, really :(

i do buy the soulmatism happening, I just also need some sort of acknowledgment from the text of the actual dynamics of the relationship. otherwise it lacks integrity and I don't trust it. without that trust in the story/storytellers, I can't completely relax and lose myself in it. my critical thinking brain is turning on when I should be enjoying the swelling violins
