Book review (Jan 2026 part 1)

1st book of 2026. I felt connection with this book because the main character goes through a loss and a feeling of guilt, which I'm also going through. Though I do wish we spent more time with her in the present because I wanted to see her connections with her loved ones more.

1st book of a duology, and the first romantasy book I've ever read. It was fun during the first few chapters because I was excited with the world building, but then the romance became the forefront. I know its a romantasy but the pacing became off because it felt like the romance happened in less than a month, and the sense of urgency of the main character that was introduced in the first chapters suddenly didn't seem that important. I still want to read the second book though 😅.

Game added to my barely there collection 😅, as well as left joy con to replace the joy con that started to drift.

I finished digimon survive, I didn't like it that much I struggled finishing it, but I had to because I can't move on to the next game.

Only tried to play Stardew valley once and realized I'm not really a farming simulator person 😅.

Finished digimon cyber sleuth, I enjoyed it a lot and currently playing hackers memory. I'm on chapter 12 and it has 18 chapters in total.

Life updates

-1 year in my job and still no benefits

-My work still has no business permit

-I've finally finished my first nintendo switch game. Digimon Survive, didn't really enjoy it that much.

-Next game will be Digimon Cyber sleuth. I used to play it on my older brother's PS vita and then didn't play it for years and when I got back to it the PS vita was on it's way retirement and eventually wouldn't start anymore. So I bought the game for the nintendo switch which is also given to me by my older brother. Basically all the gadgets I have except for my phone is from my brothers.

-I really should start saving more. 😅

Someone made me feel inadequate and unimportant today. I think it's time to let go of that relationship.

Subscribed to Max just to watch supernatural. Let's see if I'll regret it or not 😅. I'm excited to finally watch this show. I've watched the first 3 seasons while it was airing. But then life got in the way and we changed cable providers and the channel that was airing it was not available.

I also want to make use of my tumblr account. So I'll be posting my review, reaction, comment after every episode if I can. May attention span is not good lately let's see what happens.

Bad boss

-operating the pharmacy without a business permit. The pharmacy started august 2023, its already 2025. She keeps saying that they're already processing it.

-making employees pay for expired items. Until January 2025 she was the one who ordered the meds, why do we have to pay for it when she ordered slow moving stocks maybe 2 years ago. I started last year august 2024 and the 2 pharmacy assistants with me started November 2024 and January 2025. Why do we have to pay?

-benefits have not been processed yet. Even for those who have resigned during the 7 months that I've worked here.

-delayed payments of suppliers. We are the ones who have to face suppliers and we have to keep saying we don't have funds yet everytime they come.

-not giving overtime to one PA because she raised concern about the computation of overtime pay. She was right.

-delayed salary everytime

I want to rant, I don't know where else to let this out.

Basically I feel betrayed and insulted by my boss, her husband and her brother in law.

They commented about on my appearance behind my back.

The thing is I've always had frizzy hair but I always wear it in a ponytail making sure it looks neat. I've never worn make up just powder and lipbalm, and unfortunately I have a resting B*tch face.

Anyway I've always known that my boss loves to gossip. I just didn't expect her to make a comment about my appearance. She said, I'm already stressed running my business and when I go to that branch (she has 5 branches) I've become even more stressed because of her appearance. Why doesn't she use a comb and wear lipstick.

Her husband and brother and law also commented that they didn't like going to the branch where I work when I'm on duty because they didn't want to see my face because I'm not always smiling. Also basically because I'm not taking care of my appearance and not as pretty as the other pharmacist that the brother in law has a crush on.

It hurts because why can't they just say it to my face. They preach about being professionals yet gossip behind your back.

I can't express how much this hurt me, because I try to be kind with my words and how I act with other people. Also this hurts because I have really low self esteem. I don't like being photographed and looking in the mirror because I really don't like what I see.

Basically healing my inner child with Nintendo switch games 😆. Since my older brother gave his old nintendo switch to me this october 1, I told myself I'll buy games about 1 or 2 per month. It's just oct 17 and I've already bought three.

One of my guinea pig's wheek wheek activation only happens when she hears me chewing. She doesn't wheek when she hears plastic bags rustling or the fridge opening. She doesn't even wheek even if she knows it's feeding time or when the others are wheeking. She only wheeks when she hears me chewing.

Is it weird that my interest to watch a show depends on how much fanfiction have been written about it?

It's almost here. For someone who just watched a few episodes and have never read the manga this show has such a hold on me.

I hope I get to watch it smoothly. I remembered trying to watch stranger things part 2 during the premiere and Netflix just kept loading.

Because I have nothing better to do with my life I decided to watch reactions on the one piece live action and list down what I noticed about the reactions. Not really a one piece fan but the live action caught my interest and actually made me want to watch the anime.

Gol D. Roger - Some call it good casting some thinks the actor is too small. But people have said that it's alright that he looks small because he was already dying.

Luffy - People commenting about the actors's accent and I felt that some came off a little mean about it too.

Zoro - Reaction is mostly positive and that he's the perfect casting for Zoro. Though I came across reactions that said that they are not sold on him as Zoro.

Nami - I really cringe about the reactions that comment about the actress's chest size, it's really rude.

Ussop - People are really happy that they ditched the long nose.

Sanji - Some wanted the swirly brow because it's important to his backstory. People are wondering if he'll be a simp in the live action.

Shanks - He looks underwhelming, people commented that there's something off about him in trailer but they just can't say what.

Mihawk- Looks perfect

Arlong - Ummm mostly negative reaction. But some say that he looks fine it's just that body is not big enough.

Alvida - They said that the actress is really pretty to be Alvida.

Buggy - He looks so much better in the official trailer than the teaser trailer.

Going Merry - Some are scared and some say the Going Merry look soulless.

Mostly positive reactions on the CGI.

My guinea pig loves resting her face on my neck whenever I pick her up. She gets so offended when I wear turtlenecks or a scarf that she starts scratching and biting it just so she can put her nose on my neck. 😅😅

Someone stop me from re-watching the trailer over and over because the amount of dislikes is freaking me out and making me anxious. 😞

I've been reading youtube comments on the trailer and feel like half like it and half don't. As for me who has the flu right now I surprised myself by actually tearing up while watching the trailer because I actually don't know if I like it or not 😅. My brain is confused and my body feels weak.
