Second week of summer break and nothing has happened. Can someone do something, please? :)
So basically certain people who were cheering on a battery overtake a couple of races ago are now trying to cope about an overtake that might actually end up being the overtake of the season.
And this nonsense about RB helping Max? Do you watch races with your eyes closed? Did you not see Lawson blocking Max? Or later on both RBs squabbling in front of him?
Your driver caught sleeping at the wheel and not defending the inside line is not Max's problem. Especially, when Max himself did it multiple laps in the first stint against Lewis. But cope, ig.
So does Red Bull know that the tank will empty gradually?
Is this a bad time to say that I've a very bad feeling for tomorrow? Hope I'm wrong:)
This switch up from F1 world is exactly why personally I have never cared about anyone's opinion when racing is concerned except Max (Nando & Charles, I get you sometimes). Like all you have to do is wait. :)
People (a.k.a the lapdogs of FIA) need to stfu and accept these regulations as the "best ever." Sad to see iconic corners get reduced to charging stations? STFU. 0% battery left mid-race? But didn't you like these engines? Cool, STFU and DRIVE.
These spineless people have zero room to complain now. Their opinion switches could've meant something if they hadn't been so outright dismissive of the very few people who called out this shitshow for what it was. But they were told to shut up or leave or quite moaning, blah blah blah.
You don't get to do all that and then cash in when it inconveniences you. So, stay on that side of the line, be the sheep, bend over for FIA/FOM and enjoy battery slop.
This might come back to bite me but I've got a good feeling that Max will WIN a race this season. Maybe, even a couple. This is, ofc, based on nothing but thoughts & prayers.
:)
The "would he though" and "does he know" reactions to this is clear proof that people who watch races with their eyes closed have some bizarre headcanons about Max.
Because yes, you dumb fucking morons, he would, in fact, give Isaac a tow if he was in the same position as IH. Yes, he has already done it multiple times before (Abu Dhabi 2022, anyone?).
Yes, he didn't give Checo position that one time in Brazil 2022 (I wonder why, its not like Checo deliberately crashed in Monaco, right? Right???).
And the absolute audacity of people who rep a driver who had no problem swapping places with his rival for the world title after a botched pitstop to come and call this tow shameless???? Where Isaac had nothing to lose?? It's, literally, the most obvious team strategy?
Place your bets guys....is RB22 not gonna get off the line or is it gonna be a second stint dnf? Or a spin? Or a fucked strategy? Terrible tyre deg?A new problem unlocked?
So many options...... ;)
Goat, you're very annoying. I say this with affection. :)
I can understand Max fans getting frustrated becsuse of the new Raymond interview. I don't really see the point of staying in RBR after this season (based ONLY on what I keep seeing) but our understanding of the situation is very limited. So can so-called "Max fans" stop turning on him? First of all, that interview is PR 101. There's been too much discussion and hypothesis about Max and his future since Silverstone and that warrants some damage control.
But these nonsense I keep seeing about how he'll never win a race again, never win a WDC again, blah blah blah bullshit from his own fans is so fucking stupid. Your favorite driver is MAX EMILIAN VERSTAPPEN. I can't even understand how your faith in him could be this fucking low? How many times has everyone thought it's over and then shit has infact just begun????
One good thing about this season is that it's doing a good job of weeding out glory hunters. Because if your faith in Max is so fucking low that unconfirmed rumours can rattle you so much, you weren't ever his fan to begin with. It was just the idea of the "winning machine" that he represents. In that case, better fuck off man.
"hamilton gave mercedes three years!" and then he left anyway. as a fun exercise, let's try to remember how long in advance it was announced he was leaving.
"max wouldn't last a year in ferrari!" and what good has lasting and wasting in ferrari done for anyone in the past 19 years? are we collecting struggling points?
"as soon as he doesn't have a competitive car he wants to leave!" and the current rumour is placing him in a team that's hardly doing any better. but sure, let's pretend this is about nothing but the current competitiveness.
"he couldn't handle being in a team that doesn't revolve around him!" well if you're so sure, there's nothing to worry about, is there?
The audacity to be annoyed with Max Verstappen while doing everything possible to become a midfield team is quite something.
Maybe if they put that same amount of energy in fixing the car or convincing top talents to stay or literally any fucking showing of competence, this would not happen, no?
And the situation there is worse than simply the car being a horror show. Imagine having one of the most tech savvy drivers and not listening to his feedback??? "Best sensor on the grid" but sure lets just not listen to him and continue to suck. What are we even doing here? No WDC is gonna take that. Especially when this feedback has produced top results in the past (Monza 2025, anyone?). Vettel didn't. Lewis didn't. And I think this gotta be the thing that's the breaking point for Max & RBR. Among other things.
I know it's not gonna be anything Max related. I dont think any announcement, if any at all, will come this soon. Probably something Indycar (Buxton's tweet) or something Horner related. These journalists know exactly what they're doing, banking on Max as usual.
But I AM SCARED.
It is beyond me, why there are people who still think Max should stay with this team. Why should he when he can't even trust anyone there anymore? Weekend after weekend it's the same fucking problems. His team will not take his feedback when repeatedly he keeps telling them to do something differently. His race engineer is not giving him sufficient info (tho GP can't be blamed for this, RBR should've put him on gardening leave by now if they're that reluctant to give him any info). No one wants to stay in this team - engineers, mechanics, everybody leaving. And I just can't stop thinking about how horrifying this aero issue would be if this had been a street circuit.
So yeah, why should he? Genuinely feeling sad for Max because every race he's trying to do the absolute best he can with what he' been given and every race his car or his team or strategy fucks everything up.
Also, contracts in F1 mean nothing so if there's a door open, he needs to take it. And as much as it pains me to say this, it would be better if Max steps away from F1 for a bit ( incase a move to some other team is not possible rn). He can reset, get some good endurance results, and come back when the time is right. Anything is better than staying with a team that clearly doesn't know how to listen to their driver anymore.
This could've been a much easier thing to deal with if the car was the only problem. Like, yes, Max always wants to win but as he said in Suzuka, he has had bad seasons before too. So its not like he was expecting to win weekend after weekend. But clearly, there's a lot of stuff goinng on internally, a collapse is due, and that kind of environment is not sustainable.
Entire season has been so hopeless I can't believe a day has come when Red Bull is not listening to MAX. Yes, the team has given him a lot but he has given, AND CONTINUES TO GIVE everything for this team too. Despite RBR fucking him over. He has every right to walk out.
Can someone please tell me what exactly has Hadjar earned here according to Mekies? The kid did an incredible job, he was on it the entire weekend except SQ3. But what exactly is Mekies talking about here? Being 6 tenths off pole is not a thing to be happy about. Just goes on to show what a disgraceful team this has become. Zero drive, zero hunger. Absolutely pathetic. But sure, let's keep collecting data and do fuck all with it.
Congratulations Red Bull, you've reduced one of the best starters on the grid with a history of committing terrorism on drivers starting before him in race starts to whatever this shitshow is.
