speaking of video games and shitty writing, another thing i hate is the whole trying to ‘both sides’ a political stance that you really can’t take that centrist approach to

like bioshock infinite is about a city full of sky racists, and there are freedom fighters (mostly black and indigenous americans) who are trying to revolt aganst the sky racists, but the game tries to paint both groups as being equally bad so by the end your character will be shooting large groups of black and indigenous people as well as the sky racists and…it’s bad, is what i’m saying

ALSO can we please talk about the look of pure joy and relief on nick’s face when he saw tara and darcy kissing at the party. I think that every other gay/bi person I’ve ever met has had that same experience of seeing two people of the same gender kiss for the first time and just thinking “holy shit it’s not just me” and I just… it was so well acted and it honestly took my breath away a little bit.

i’m so glad (tv show) heartstopper explicitly said that tara and darcy were lesbians multiple times because it’s so rare to actually see women on screen CALL themselves lesbians instead of just being ambiguous about their sexuality

lesbians in media are always made to be ambiguously queer and it’s so rare that a character will actually use the word lesbian to describe themselves. some characters in movies and tv are so SO lesbian coded. they never state that they like men, they only get into relationships with women, but they will never use the word lesbian. it’s gotta stop getting the ‘dirty word’ treatment because it isn’t a dirty word it’s literally just a sexuality

actually the proper way to rank the bioshock games is by how much Tenenbaum is in each one.

Leaving BS1 at the top, Minerva's Den second, BS2 third then a couple miles down is Infinite with no Tenenbaum and BaS gets sent to HELL for calling my mom MEAN NAMES.
