nothing is going to change. he is the president and will continue to be for the foreseeable future (barring extraordinary circumstances, and this probably won’t count as such among the people with the power to throw his racist ass out), no matter how revolting and pathetic he is and always will be.
this too will be moved on from in a few days, weeks, months. not because it’s *ever* okay, over, or not worth discussing & remembering, but because there will continue to be new lows that will demand constant attention and scrutiny. he’s at 30%, before all this. a 15% approval rating will not convince enough GOP to do something.
he will need to be charged personally with multiple charges through the russia investigation, likely more than Nixon ever was for GOP to be thoroughly convinced he is unfit and begin impeachment proceedings. obstruction charges may not even be enough. this is assuming that GOP holds majorities in 2018 still. without this, he will not be leaving office prior to jan. 20, 2021.
