“Gula Merah” series.
Gula Merah means palm sugar/brown sugar in Indonesian.
Most of our traditional cakes use this as either the main ingredient or as a side (usually as a sauce like the Sarabi, Putu Mayang, Lupis, Cendol and Cincau where it is mixed with santan, coconut milk)
Been eating these since I was a kid.
