He smirked and ran at one, slashing it in half, jumping off its head then flipping in the air, slashing another as he landed effortlessly on his heels. He straightened, looking back at Claude as if to say ‘well, what are you waiting for’.
Claude leaped into the air to clear the distance and get going over to the other side. He was a freak of nature from across the skies. His eyes turned into the jewel, cat like eyes with knives prepared and ready to be used among some of his other arsenal of weapons he had. “I was only waiting for your lead Grell!”
He then got in between the horde and one by one, the soldiers started to try to gang in on Claude. But it was useless. The sharp threads that he quickly placed were piercing through all of them. From severed heads, cut ankles, among other limbs were all being cut out. He took then took the knives and threw them at the other soldiers. They were now dealing with a seasoned and venomous devil. “Are you enjoying yourself Grell!” He yelled wherever Grell was in the hordes of the undead.
Grell slashed through multiple…walking husks. He’s seen this happen once before, but was just a student and couldn’t do anything but watch. Actually attacking the bodies was OH so much fun~ He looked up when he heard the demon’s voice and pulled his scythe from one of their bodies. “Oh I’m having a blast~”
"Good! I'm glad you're enjoying this as much as I'am!" He yelled out as he delivered a another fatal blow to an enemy. The were all bleeding through and the carnage was as immense for an army of this size. They were all mindless though, no opinion, no time to withdraw, and no organization. They were more like maggots if anything. All the more easy to take down when you're both two freaks of nature.
"This is only delaying the inevitable! So! Grell! Can consider ourselves as allies at this point?"
Oh man I gotta get off, serious headache since 3 in the afternoon but if I'm not on later I'll catch you guys later on ><. Good night everyone out there and uhh if you have a headache, don't eat ice cream or nothing like that. That stuff'll make it worse ><

“I was Madame Red’s butler. Well, not really. I was a bit hopeless at it, but the disguise worked~ Sebastian saw right through it though. Not that I minded~” Grell sighed happily.
He tucked the thin, death book into his coat pocket. “Well, it’s been lovely chatting, but she was my last and I’m looking forward to going home. If you’ll excuse me.” Grell walked by him, toward the open window he used to enter the manor.
“Wait!” Claude yelled out as this grim reaper was prepared to leave. “If you know of where I can find Sebastian, then I will go along as well.” The reunion of two devils, two contractors, and two men who were to the brim of each other. He walked with Grell in the calm manor he had and jumped down the open window. This was going to accompany him but, then there was a noise. A marching noise, as if it were from commandos or an army. “Grell, I know we are acquaintances at this point, but” Claude looked around where this noise was coming from. It was all too out of hand. “Do you hear that?”
((…..lol wut? I don’t know how to respond to this since I have no idea what you have in mind |D))
Grell looked back at him. “Why do you need Sebas-chan? I know you’re a demon too. No way I’m letting you near my man just so you can hurt him,” he said glaring sightly.
(( It was the idea for…that…undead army thing…you know get your gore on? Maybe? » ))
He knew this was more than just as simple “tag along thing” with this grim reaper. It was no surprise though as he mentioned Claude being a devil. The stoic face said it all. He was calculating and could’ve been as illusive as could be. He adjusted his glasses and shook his head as he heard Grell mention of hurting Sebastian.
“I never mentioned harming him” he paused as he had that cool composure he always kept on him. He was looking down at Grell from his tall height and only continued walking with him. “It’s only been a while, actually a long time since I’ve seen the man. The last time I saw him, he was the one who entered into this estate.” And he was right. Sebastian posed as a traveler, but even Claude knew something did not feel right. “Now, Grell was it? I think we are not alone here. Take a look over here.” He pointed to the window behind both of them. A horde from the distance was eminent. He saw nothing but black shadows walking to the front. Not even marching.
((I’m a cat now so… »))
Grell looked up. “Now…what are they…” He eyed the beings. “No souls…that’s very odd..”
(( Okay you asked for this xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt4zvJNXbdI ))
Claude looked at those shadows and wasn’t scared. If anything, he felt a sudden urge to “greet them”. There was never any fear but a bloodthirst. He knew they were never here for greetings or to pay a visit. Instead, they were here only to claim a few lives. “Grell, this is an invitation but…would you kindly join me in ‘greeting’ my guests?”
((OMG I haven’t seen that in soooo longgg xDD))
Grell grinned and caught his death scythe as it materialized in front of him. “Oh I’d love it~” he said, his tail twitching.
(( Good to be back Grell xD And waa?! Really?))
“Good. Thank you for assisting on such short notice.” Claude was never one to have that very ‘smart aleck’ attitude, but he was someone who enjoyed at times, sadism. This was one of those rare occasions where he was ready to lose everything he had and enjoy seeing these undead suffer. They were already gone, besides, there was going to be no tears shed for them.
“Shall we get started then Grell?”
From within the brooding shadows the Ouran High school, the skies were paling with a light grey setting with the clouds and foggy day. Alois Trancy and his butler, Claude Faustus, grew nearer into the enterance of the Ouran High school. Alois was complaining about the trip seeing as how he vocally wanted to go back to the Trancy estate. Claude then kneeled down and held Alois' face to calm him down. "Young master, this is only the final day of the week to be attending this institution. You only have a few hours until the rest of the day is free." He calmed Alois with his words, and hugged him to bid farewell as he would resume his duties as an attendant. He then pinned the badge and walked over with the clipboard in hand and his pen ready to write down his own notes.
He entered into the class room he was going to be attending. Oddly enough, as he entered inside the class, as disruptive as they were, the students including the teacher looked right at Claude. "Resume your activities, I'm here simply as a guest."
As the class continued running through it's agenda, presentations based on the Middle Ages were being presented. One of them, being about the Crusades, the Holy Wars. Claude sat down assessing and listening to each presentation. To be as honest, he was surprised and was very disgusted by those who chose to do this last minute. He knew who they were. However, one student stood out amongst the crowd. His short stature, his intimidating look and white hair, and then, his own smug appearance. Claude listened to how composed this presentation was, with powerpoints, significant battles, and even the end conclusions of this wars. He knew all of them, as he was "watching" from afar. What took Claude away from this presentation was just his view on how these wars were and the concepts behind these soldiers. Never in his "lifetime", had he seen a child who was quietly someone who had views as soldiers being pawns, and understanding the repetition of war. Claude approached the boy after the presenation and after the class was over.
"Nathaniel River, I must say, astounding performance as a student. You have my admiration in your report and delivery, seeing and mentioning your concepts. My name is Claude Faustus, and I must ask, how did you realize these things at such a young age?"

Kagome bristled the moment he said the words ‘threat’ and ‘friends.’ So he did know about the feudal era. Somehow, for some reason, he knew — and it had something to do with this deal he wanted to offer. There wasn’t a single trustworthy thing about him or his deal, especially now that she was sure he knew her most well-guarded secret.
But she wanted to hear it. She needed to hear it. If he knew about her friends, then he was either a potential threat or a potential ally, and she wasn’t about to ignore someone like that. She was beginning to suspect he’d come from the feudal era himself, but something was keeping her from really believing it. He was so radically different from anyone she’d met over there — but she wouldn’t have been surprised if he turned out to be a demon. That would have made sense.
“I… don’t know,” she said after a moment, considering her words carefully. “I don’t really care about being stronger than anyone else, but… The last time I was offered this kind of power, it turned out to be totally corrupt. I can’t say a word until I know every detail. And anyway, if this is a deal then I’m supposed to have to give something in return, right? What’s my end of the bargain?”
He swayed over to the side but kept his strictly on her. For Claude, he knew these deals were never meant for everyone but there was something that every person wants. Something whether it’d be to benefit or to help themselves or to their party around them. He kept his hands tied back as he was prepared to talk about the terms and conditions of this contract: something that hasn’t changed even after so many years since it was forged.
“I came to offer you this: an avenue where you need not train any more. An avenue where you need not worry about training and you can be ready for anything that appears before you and your friends’ path. In exchange…”
He paused as he returned back from his motion. Looking over his shoulder and then back to Kikyo, shifting his enter body in a forward direction.
“You will serve me by the end but I can aid you in terms of your battles. But there are more conditions that you must know of if you are interested.”
And with that, Claude gave a cold demeanor on his face. In a manner of speaking, he was trying to say that this deal was a serious one, nothing without any limits, just restrictions to follow.
His varying motions were distracting; Kagome found herself watching his every move, as if he might suddenly break out a weapon and attack her. He was so calm and quiet, but something about him had her rattled, and it was only getting worse with each passing second.
It almost sounded like he was talking about granting her absolute power. The Shikon jewel’s true nature had been bad enough; this was beyond unnerving. He was too secretive about the details — he kept telling her just enough to make her want to hear the next part. If nothing else it was a hell of a complicated way to tempt someone.
“Serve you?” she repeated the words like a curse. “What’s that supposed to mean? I want to know everything so just tell me.”
Every fiber of her being was making the most dedicated effort to appear steadfast and brave, but it wasn’t working. In actuality she looked less courageous than intimidated, except for the look on her face — in her eyes there was enough ferocity to make up for her wary stance and bowed head and quiet, uneasy voice.
Claude was always someone that if he had a weapon concealed, he would always have a hand ready for a quick draw. This wasn’t out of defense but it was out of being prepared for the unknown. The devil stood there with only a smog look on his face, the kind of look that would hint at things such as the walls closing in, the welcoming of a crimson crescendo, and even for a moment, as if time stood still.
“That’s correct Ms. Higurashi. What this means is you are entitled to having the limitless power, the limitless potential, and strength that can’t be achieved by rigorous training. Now” He paused as he cleaned his glasses for a little, closing his eyes. He was cool, showing that he was at ease. But this sort of calmness is just as damning as his words. He opened his yellow eyes and placed his glasses back on. “This does not mean that you will work for me. However, and I reccomend you listen closely.”
He paused again and crossed his arms. The sun was now setting even more with only the flicker of the sun and the skies turning to dusk. The lights at the school were now turning on and without anyone there, this meeting was suddenly morphing into a silent and hellish offering.
“You can never go back on these terms the moment you agree.”
All of this hesitation was starting to get to her. It didn’t feel like suspense, but rather like he was purposefully stringing her along, keeping details secret as long as possible just to get her to agree. The atmosphere wasn’t helping, either; she hadn’t realized it was already so late. As soon as the hall lights flickered on, a chill ran down her spine.
It didn’t surprise her that the agreement was absolute. She’d gotten that feeling as soon as he’d mentioned the deal in the first place — and there was something else about him that was almost foreboding. He reminded her of Naraku in a very basic, instinctive way, not in personality but in presence. Her nerves were on edge like they always had been around Naraku. Her fingers ached for her bow and arrows.
“I understand,” she said decisively, ducking her head just slightly but not looking away, creating a stronger front for herself. “I’ll let you know whether or not I agree once you explain the terms in full. Otherwise I won’t say a single word.”
It was hard to maintain her resolve when this man was so intimidating, and with every passing second it only got worse. It was like the sun was conspiring against her and lending him the ambience of night to compel her. She didn’t want to end up doing something she was going to regret, but if he could really grant her such incredible power… she wasn’t sure she would regret it.
The devil knew of how intimidating his proposition was but either way, he knew she was already preferring to stay away from this proposition. Humans in some ways have become both smarter and weary of the old deals. As expected.
He nodded his head and adjusted his glasses. He was now aware of her weary feelings on this contract, but either way, he knew she was quietly shifting away from this deal and that he knew of the hints he was giving. The cool wind and the day were now turning into darkness and complete blackness across the skies, shifting as if it were the edge of the abyss.
“I can understand your concerns. However, this could open up your possibilities and acquire a new and life-lasting asset for you and your companions. Enough power to defeat even the likes of devils.” At this point, Claude gave his final mean to the end of this proposition. He knew this would send a chill down her spine but possibly enough to put a compelling reason into signing this blood deal.
To defeat even the likes of devils. The words chilled her — not because there was anything particularly foreboding about them, but because they pushed her. She was losing the will to deny this deal. So far he’d only vaguely mentioned one little downside, and as suspicious as that was, she was still tempted.
“Okay — these are the last questions I’ll ask. Depending on your answers, I’ll make my decision. What is this power? What will it allow me to do, how will I use it? And — what do I have to give up to obtain it? What’s my end of the bargain? I have to know, or I won’t accept.”
There, she’d asked. If he dodged the question again as he’d done so many times already she was just going to turn around and leave. Or so she’d told herself, anyway, but she was already so interested in this deal that she wasn’t really sure she would walk away. Maybe this power would be strong enough that she could take Kyo back through the well without worrying he’d get hurt. Maybe she’d be able to take care of herself over there, without needing Inuyasha or anyone else to protect her. He kept saying she’d be able to protect them, after all.
But she’d gotten the feeling she was going to have to lose something very important if she wanted this power. Something she should never, ever give up.
He had her ready to possibly make the deal with the devil, such as the one Faust did for limitless knowledge. For centuries, and oddly enough, recently, there have been more paranoia cases with these students. But this kept opening up more opportunities to quietly start to sign for others. "Very well then." He said with the flick of a wrist and the snap of his fingers, time stood still. The room and the area around both of them changed to a dark, and crimson/red like color. This was the realm that only creatures like Claude could access.
The mood was now that of a dark and dead like atmosphere. The only sounds were just their footsteps, and even the sound of materials shaking somewhere in the background. What those materials were, could've been anyone's guess.
"The only things that you will need to forfeit in this deal would be two things: one of them Kikyo, would be surrendering a portion of your years to us. You see..." He paused as he adjusted his glasses again and folded his arms. "We are, not the normal contract men. But imagine the power that you can achieve. All of the things that are not even possible to achieve even if you train for your years. You can, in otherwords, become a defender, and a vanguard."

Abandoned mansion, Manoir à la verrière (FR) (by alex__ka)
Green reflection of trees in the mirror [Manoir à la verrière] (FR)
of warning signs and skipping beats
The devil at his work. Even for centuries back then, it was expected by most when the term or the presence of someone who seemed rather suspicious or even chilling would welcome assumptions and fear in some cases. The sun was beating down on both of them since it was in the middle of the day.
Claude seemed both formal and in some way, even like that of a noir detective with the coat he had on. The wind blew to provide some equalization, temperature wise. He stood there with his hands inside the pockets of his coat, prepared to give his proposition.
“Inoue Orihime. There could be something I could help you with instead. I’am fine in my condition but thank you for your question.” Claude was starting to, in a manner of speaking, begin to reveal his “new deal”. For as mentioned, he knew of her past, her extraordinary powers, and even her past with her comrades who were once friends. He knew she grew fond of her companions and allies she would later meet, and her encounters with the Espada. He knew of her attempt to run away from it all as well. He sat down on what seemed to be a peaceful chair, enough to have three people there to share the same seat.
“How would it sound if I were to offer a new direction your life could take?” He said as he looked up to her, now with his hands crossed, prepared to tell her more of what would seem to be a promising contract. The contract that could reward it’s signer with it’s benefits and new strength upon taking this oath.
She did not like the sensation she was experiencing. She did not like the insecurity.
The warmth of the sun filtered through the clouds in golden beams, and yet she could not shake off this feeling of coldness that was seeping into her bones. A breeze picked up, swirling through her long hair. She watched cautiously as the man sat himself down on a bench, peering up at her from underneath the brim of his hat. His glasses glinted as he regarded her, hands folding across his lap; the way he was watching her made Orihime feel like she was being analyzed.
In fact, his mannerisms brought to mind a friend of hers back from Karakura Town by the name of Uryū Ishida – both were obviously intelligent and possessed proper decorum – but unlike him, Ishida never made her feel so very cold, just by standing in his presence. At the mental image of her raven-haired friend, she smiled nostalgically, though quickly shook her head free of the memory to blink back into reality.
“How would it sound if I were to offer a new direction your life could take?”
His utterance had definitely caught her attention. Cocking her head to the side, Orihime murmured, “What … what do you mean? What exactly is it you’re offering?” Her brows dipped, wondering where this conversation could possibly be leading. All she knew was that she needed to stay on her toes and carefully watch what she said.
Behind those yellow eyes that Claude had, was somewhat of a monster. Someone who was wanting and willing to take another soul like plenty of others from centuries ago. Many of those stories were never heard from again.
He crossed his legs and adjusted himself in the seat. The coat went with the wind as he placed his hands in the side pockets it had. For a second he closed his eyes to comfort himself as he was adjusting. He then looked back at her with the intimidating eyes and look on his face.
"With restrictions, I know you Orihime. You can call me somewhat of an 'accountant'. I know of the paranormal experiences you've had with your group of allies, your group of fellow friends so to say." He paused. The wind continued to blow down only a little more harder and the leaves from the tree beside them were falling down. "And I know how some things did not go in your favor, so to say. With someone such as a Ichigo Kurosaki."

"I can understand your concerns. However, this could open up your possibilities and acquire a new and life-lasting asset for you and your companions. Enough power to defeat even the likes of devils." At this point, Claude gave his final mean to the end of this proposition. He knew this would send a chill down her spine but possibly enough to put a compelling reason into signing this blood deal.

“You ask too many questions at once,” Grell whined, hopping from one foot to the other quickly. “Let me do my job and you can drill me all you want.” As soon as he said it he blushed and laughed. “Oh my that came out so wrong…” Grell twisted a lock of his red hair. He stepped forward and slashed the woman’s body in half with one quick stroke of his scythe. Her cinematic record unravled from the wound and he read over it, checking off items in the death book.
As if this wasn’t a strange enough event, he saw this grim reaper kill with such ease, as if it was nothing. For Claude, killing wasn’t something that he felt emotion for but this one stood out: this reaper actually did enjoy the killing and enjoy the thrill of it.
He heard the comment come from Grell, but Claude simply just shook his head. There wasn’t really much of a sense of humor in Claude, making him seem a little off and to add onto his apathetic view. The night was still as out as ever, the cool wind was entering into this scene, now another soul has gone into eternal sleep. Away from all the pain and sorrow that went with the journey of life.
“Now that you’re finished Grell” Claude spoke in a somewhat upset tone of voice, “How do you know Sebastian? Just who told you about him?”
Grell stood up, the rest of her record winding into the end of his scythe. He collected the soul of the dead woman and stamped over her face in book ‘completed’. He looked up when we heard a question. “Told me about him? Oh no darling, I know him personally~ I even lived in the Phantomhive manor for a short time.”
This meeting was now turning into an opportunity for Claude to have a breach in the Phantomhive manor. Secretly, his objective was now changing: he will listen to this Grell and what he has to say and recieve the information regarding about the manor, Sebastian, and Ciel. He then wiped the blood away from his gloves and then focused on what this reaper has to say. He was now more attentive if anything and his attention was now focused on what Grell had to answer.
“Personally you say?” He asked as he silently revealed his attentiveness to about Sebastian and how he was connected with Grell. “Just how long were you there for? If you do not mind me personally saying. It’s a little interesting to see a grim reaper living in a manor such as the Phantomhive.”
"Wait!" Claude yelled out as this grim reaper was prepared to leave. "If you know of where I can find Sebastian, then I will go along as well." The reunion of two devils, two contractors, and two men who were to the brim of each other. He walked with Grell in the calm manor he had and jumped down the open window. This was going to accompany him but, then there was a noise. A marching noise, as if it were from commandos or an army. "Grell, I know we are acquaintances at this point, but" Claude looked around where this noise was coming from. It was all too out of hand. "Do you hear that?"
