I don't know about others, but hate reading fics where Severus is described as big, bulky, and always calm and collected.
(Not my taste even a little bit. )
I keep reading fics of Snape being the most mature human imaginable, we love this character cause heβs a mess. I donβt get it
Right?! Like, I don't mind him being calm in certain situations(book Snape was also calm yet sarcastic in so many scenes.) But making him this brooding, silent, emotionally mature 'big boy' just feels so off(atleast to me). he is absolutely a mess, petty, and even childish at times! I actually write a fic about him myself, and I try my best to keep him far away from that 'emotionally mature' trope. Honestly, for him to ever reach that point, he'd need a healing journey with the one he loves to finally find some real peace.

βTell me I'm not the only one who sees Snape energy in (movie) Aemond Targaryen ...
People always paint Severus Snape as a villain, an emo guy or some uptight serious dude but weβre talking about a guy who spent the first 11 years of his life in a damn muggle slum, in a super poor working-class hood in the β60s and β70s, and kept living there up until his death when he wasnβt at Hogwarts. Heβs a guy who laughs at cruel-ass jokes, has a dark, savage sense of humor, and at the same time completely loses it over an 11-year-old kid or a lost quidditch match, and he doesnβt do it all fancy, he spits on the grass like a proper thug.
Severus Snape ainβt some BrontΓ« novel character, or a fucking supervillian flat joke, heβs a full-on Irvine Welsh antihero, no cap. Moody, sassy, cunty, a street-level fighter when he canβt keep up the fake manners he never had. Bitter as hell, with fucking steel balls and convinced everyone around him is a dumbass.
Don't take him so serious he's not as serious as you all think.
Snape is a straight man who is very perverted when it comes to his sweetheart.
βIn my fanfiction (One & Only), he is way too perverted with Sue and he is completely fine with Sue calling him 'pervert' many times a day.
Severus Snape and Sue both have hentai traits. And that exact same trait is reflected in their son's characterization. ββΏβ

One & Only (Severus Snape x OC)
Devotion (Severus Snape x OC) :
βFirst of all, I want to clear a few things up about the prequel to my story!
βSue's journey begins in her very first year at Hogwarts when she is 11 years old. And no this story is not a 'Student x Professor' romance. You won't find anything disrespectful or inappropriate here. Snape would never act on a student's feelings! (Right?)
βInstead, Devotion is a slow-burn journey about Sue's one-sided feelings for him. That is, until the later years, when Snape slowly starts feeling a strange pulling in his magic. It's a deep bond that makes him fiercely protective of Sue, she becomes his precious person.
βWhat about Lily?
In this universe, (my universe XD) Lily is no longer his romantic focus. Severus is keeping his oath to Dumbledore to protect Harry and atone for his past guilt, but he isn't obsessively crying over his dead ex-friend anymore. He is a ghost of himself, scarred by a dark past, bitter memories, and years as a Death Eater. He is guarded, and yes, he will yell at Sue (like he did after her confession, lol)
βBut their magical bond is real. Sue comes from an unusual, super-pureblood bloodline, and their magic literally yearns for each other. Even with all of this intensity.. they don't instantly end up together.
ββ¨ Final Note: β¨
If you are looking for a fast-paced 'Student x Professor' trope with immediate romance or smut, Devotion might not be your taste. βBut if you love a deep, darkly romantic, and beautifully hopeless slow-burn.. this is for you. ππ¦
β(Ah, I talk too much! I'm such a scatterbrain when explaining my own thoughts, but I hope this makes sense! Let me know your thoughts!)
βIf you are looking for a Severus Snape love story that goes way deeper than just 'falling in love and the end' something darkly romantic and deeply emotional, I have something for you:
