It’s not like he had any other choice when it came to his uniform. It was required to wear a red Tower Street polo, shoes/socks with flame designs, khakis, a pizza hat, and the signature apron.

Preston has always dreaded wearing this ensemble. It meant he had to go meet his parents or attend an event along with his family.  His mother had picked it out with the approval of his father.

Lover Boy

Comfy clothing has always been Preston’s weakness. With the long nights in the studio it was always best to dress as comfortably as possible. One of the only few times he would proudly wear pink and other pastel colors.

The Ollie

His go to outfit during school days have always revolved around his converse. As beat up as they were from skateboarding, he would always wear them with great pride. Preston normally pairs his shoes with  denim jeans and a simple t-shirt.

1. Do you ever wish you weren’t a Hawthorne?

That is a very personal question. I, I think that my family is very complicated. And there are always going to be times where I’d verbalize it, but I don’t think I actually mean it. I’m pretty sure everyone has had a moment where they wish they weren’t part of their family. Is this going on record?

2. Are you hoping to leave Edgewood one day, or do you plan to establish roots here?

I don’t think I can ever move away from this town. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I did move away for undergrad. Yet, I just ended up back in Edgewood. I don’t think my story ended here yet and it’s just the world telling me I need to be here a little bit longer. There’s so much I can do to improve the town… It would be nice to start new somewhere else though. Start fresh.

3. How do you feel about the way things are going between you and Bridgette? Do you ever worry that your friendship is misinterpreted?

Bridgette and I have always been complicated. Of course, I’ll always love her and drop everything if she needed me. That sounds a bit cliché, but it’s true. Do I love her in the same way as we did in high school? No. Although, I do wish we would speak to each other a little more. It’s hard when you’re both adulting and living two different lives. I wouldn’t say I’m worried about misinterpreting our friendship. Bridgette is a pretty blunt person. If she had something to say she would have said it. We never kept secrets from each other.

4. Speaking of friendships, do you and Phoenix ever plan to dance in a live performance together?

Haha, I don’t know about that. I tend to just dance by myself in my little corner of the library or in my studio. I hate the attention when it comes to public performances. And playing in a sport is completely different because you don’t have to remember choreographed dances. You just kinda have to trust your instincts and vaguely know the game plan.

5. Is there anything you regret not saying to someone that you wish you could go back in time and say?

I’ll miss you and I am only phone call away. Please don’t be a stranger.
