The Zero Comment Challenge is a way for readers to find new stories and reach out to authors they want to encourage. 

Every fandom has stories that get lost in the shuffle. Maybe they were posted during a busy time and didn’t get much attention. Maybe the author didn’t tag as effectively as they could have to get their story in front of the audience it was intended for. Maybe the fandom is just really shy so they leave kudos instead of comments. 

The Zero Comment Challenge is meant to find those authors and give them some love. Go to the AO3 search and filter by comments, then look at the fics that don’t have any comments at all. Find one that looks interesting to you and let the author know what you thought. They get to meet a new reader and you get to find new fic. Everyone wins!

Prompt: Leonard caring for Mick as if he was a doll. Mick doesn’t usually enjoy dressing snazzy, but he discovers that he loves it when Leonard dresses him up (probably for a heist at a fancy shindig or something). So they play around with that at home. I just see a lot of Mick calling other people “doll” in fic, and would love to see him treated like one.

Summary: For the first time in Mick’s life, he feels hot.

You’ve finished your fic, arted your art and wrapped up your work. Now it’s time for posting.

To upload your works to the Coldwave Winter Holiday Exchange collection, all you have to do is add it to AO3. Head to the ‘Assignments’ page in AO3, find the request you’ve fulfilled and click ‘fulfil’.

This will automatically gift the work to your recipient and post it as a ‘mystery work,’ to be revealed tomorrow, in the collection, so there’s no need for you to do anything extra.

Remember that ALL works have to be added to the collection, even art. If you have any trouble, just let us know.

Tag us if you link your works on tumblr from tomorrow, and we’ll reblog them.

Get in touch privately via tumblr, email, discord or interpretive dance to tell us where you’re at with your gift. Any problems or questions let us know today.

Don’t tell us who your Giftee is, (unless you need to, but prewarn us if you do as some of the organisers are taking part too), we’re just after a status report.

We’d expect you wrapping up your gift by this point, but if not and you’re confident you can deliver on time, that’s all we ask.
