In my many dreams about that place I move through its halls and rooms in the dim light, looking desperately for the exit

Sometimes the exit is there, but the only way through it is by traveling through mud under a maze of barbed wire fences

Gestas is the part of the human soul that scoffs at the suffering of the innocent. Dismas mourns for the suffering, acknowledging injustice in an unjust system

Too much we are Gestas-- wishing only to maintain our apathy as innocent civilians around the world are tortured and put to death for the crime of existing

Can humankind face the truth and save its soul like Dismas? Or will we maintain our apathy and scoff at the cries of those being massacred? The outlook is pretty bleak
