Available Masks to Thru-Hikers? on the Vermont's Long Trail

Hancock, VT - A mask inside a plastic bag is seemingly available to thru-hikers at the Long Trail kiosk just south of Middlebury Gap Rte 125. The note reads: In case you have to return to "civilization". - Tessie <3 (with the addition of a sticker that clearly says "LIES" over the bag) The Long Trail itself remains open while shelters and privies are closed. Hikers should still follow mud-season hiking guidelines and not hike above the alpine elevation of roughly 2,500ft until after Memorial day, when the trails dry.
