Maybe I adulted...

Drama happened, and it...didn't affect me. I willingly stepped away and stopped trying to "solve" it thinking that it'll be too toxic for me.

Maybe, I grew?

Attendance

Have a friend and teammate fashionably running late by 45 minutes (broski stays 10 minutes away, couldnt wake up for a class at 10am), asked us to mark him present for attendance

we just said he's in the bathroom cuz he has a bad breakfast, he's on campus but he'll be late 💀

I'm college-ing

Some incidents in my first month that have morphed me into college kid:

met a random professor who teaches immunology and geeked out about my passion in the subject, and chatted with her for 10 minutes (she asked for my name after, which i think is a plus point)

missed a deadline by 2 minutes and am now freaking out about tomorrow's class (pls don't fail me professor)

got into the good books of a professor known to be strict, who encouraged me to keep reading and writing no matter how much uni work "bogs you down"

annoyed with staying back for assignments so much, we finished filming an advertisement in 30 minutes

You need to be uncomfortable

I spent 6 months, 4000 words, 32 pages, and 1 interview in IB discussing the benefits of GM crops and how revolutionary a scientific technology it is to get stuck with an essay topic in college where I need to write why they should be illegal in India.

Guess you need to explore new avenues and broaden your horizons. I'm excited but pissed at the same time

After one week of uni

After the first week, I can say college gives you toxic lover vibes because when you’re introduced, it is all fun. Then, they dump you with assignments for 4 days straight, and now, somehow, I have a 3 day weekend for the first 3 weeks of every month…with only one submission remaining?

Big kid life is weird

Context: So everyone joining my uni has a common first year, and your actual major studies happen sy onwards. So people in fy get the first three fridays off unless you have no extra classes.

Second day of college

A 24-hour deadline...2 assignments and a brand new group, too much socialising, too much work.

Not one person in mainstream cinema is struggling with deadlines

Orientation week

Made friends, got tired....Learnt how to step out of the house after 2 months of binge watching k dramas.
