So that’s that! I know I haven’t posted on here in a few months, but I just wanted to come on here and tell you that I did my Digital Marketing exam today and I passed! 😆🙊🎉🎉 Cannot believe it, especially when it was a 3 hour computer exam with a lot of questions to answer. If you really want to know there was 184 MCQs 😭

It was really relaxed though, the woman who was supervising my exam (who was so nice) let me have a cup of coffee while I was doing the exam. I wish my school and college/uni exams had been that relaxed. Clearly I do well when I have a cup of coffee to drink during an exam 😂😅

Anyway I just wanted to come on and let you know how the course went, I really enjoyed all the modules and it was an interesting course. The only thing was a couple of the modules got a bit repetitive by the end of the course. I do feel that I have learnt a lot about Digital Marketing, especially because I now do a lot of Digital Marketing and social media in my job now, so doing the course was a big benefit to me.

Good luck to all the studyblr students who are going through school, college and especially to those who are training or studying while working full time. I was really lucky that my boss has been so supportive while I have been doing the course online and that it worked out that I could do the exam during a working day as soon as I was able and ready to.

I think I am happy to just concentrate on doing my job full time now without having the course and exam in the back of my mind. I’ll never say never to doing more training or studying, but I think I’ll enjoy the rest of 2018 carefree now! 😄

This section of the course is about Website Optimization - how to get your website to its full potential for as many users to access as possible and spend time there once they have clicked on your website. The course is really interesting so far.

Hopefully with it being a bank holiday tomorrow in Ireland I will get to study more tomorrow as I’m not back to work until Tuesday. Hope you are all well. I will try to update my studyblr with posts more often.

My studyblr Introduction Post

So I haven’t posted on this properly in a long time! Between last August and now a lot has changed. I have completed my degree and graduated last October. A few months ago I started my first job out of college. To add to my skill set I am completing an online course in Digital Marketing while working full time. This will be beneficial to my current job/career and CV while improving my skill set.

Anyway after that long intro I just wanted to introduce myself to the studyblr community. My name is Aoife from Ireland and I have completed my undergraduate bachelor degree in Commerce (another word for business studies), specialising (majoring) in Management of Human Resources. I currently have a full time job while completing an online course in Digital Marketing.

I have followed various studyblrs over the past couple of years but my favourites would have to be @emmastudies (I love her printables) @annistudio @studypetals @highlighteurs @bookishandbright and @studyessie. All of their aesthetic for their study posts is so on point! 😍🙊

I will get into the swing of things and start posting regular updates on how my studies are going. life cleansing tips:

- delete conversations between people you no longer talk to. its healthy to let go of the past and not letting yourself dwell on things.

- say kind things about people you like. say good things about yourself. don’t speak or think about people you don’t like.

- look in mirrors. you shouldn’t be afraid of facing yourself.

- clean sheets make clean sleep make clean minds

- allow yourself time to feel and grow. don’t be too hard on yourself for crying, you need to vent in order to move on to better times. even rainy days work towards sunny days.

- if things don’t work out, stop forcing them. there’s no reason for you to keep working and failing if there’s other places/people for you to excel and be happy.

- kiss your body, caress your body. make yourself feel loved.

- running away doesn’t always solve everything. sometimes, the reason that made you run will still be with you. focus on freeing yourself before starting anew.

- a glass of water and a good nights rest can go a long way

A small thank you.

I am writing this to say I have officially surpassed 100,000 followers and coudn’t be prouder. This is an absolutely amazing achievement which I never thought would happen. I cannot express how much I love and appreciate every single person that has followed and supported me over the last four years.

I started this blog out of a need to motivate my lazy butt for my first round of big exams. Never did I think it would become a place where I could connect with this many wonderful, insightful and interesting people. 

Each day, I get the opportunity to interact with people I wouldn’t have otherwise. I get the privilege of reading absolutely amazing messages of your achievements and I couldn’t be happier. This message is the pinnacle of why I love running this blog. I’ve cried a few times over messages that have resonated with me, but that one makes me know that all the time I dedicate to this blog is worth it. Even if I help only one person, it just warms my heart to know that something I’m doing could potential help someone.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so happy to have you all as a part of this journey. It is such a pleasure to get to know you, chat with you, and share snippets of my life with you.

The most fascinating part to me about studyblr isn’t the unique stories and backgrounds each of you have, though that has always been important and amazing. It’s the futures each of you look forward to: the doctors, the translators, the writers, the teachers – and notice I don’t say “aspiring.” You all are here because you aspire, but when you combine that ambition with discipline, your work pays off. So many that I actually dropped out of university after 3 weeks in 2016 and had to take the whole year off.
