The Pastel family is simply a ragtag group of close friends who met in high school. And those aligned with any Pastel color -- rare as it may be -- show opposite personalities than the normal color they were born to. And simple this group is a bunch of misfit cousins to the typical color families that you can find around Color County.
Chili is more logic based, and always hated exercise and outdoors. She was shunned by her family and because of it, she became quite a shut-in till she met her friends.
Arctic was a bit unstable, even as a child. He was always seeing things, and it never made sense until he was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he started going to college. It depressed him greatly, and Pacific tried to help him but it was nothing money could fix. He turned to his friends after he lost his job. He’s healed and started taking medicine, as well as getting into makeup. He’s just starting to get back on his feet and his new found family is there to support him.
Violet was definitely strange for a Purple. She is terrible with technology, and it always seemed to break around her. She much preferred the arts, performing and creative. She’s the one who taught Arctic the basics of makeup, and the two have plans to even make a brand someday. But for now, Violet is content with making and selling her paintings.
Gummy didn’t have a great life. Unlike most Pinks, he has no sense of pride or style. He doesn’t care how unfashionable, gaudy, or ratty his clothes are as long as he can wear it he will. But because he never took up any skills, his parents kicked him out as a teenager. He was homeless for a long time, going from shelter to shelter and trying to find a job and balance school all at once. He was relieved to finally have a place to live where he wouldn’t have to worry about anything. He feels a bit guilty that he can’t help pay the taxes or anything because of his little income, but he is trying his best by doing the basic errands for the house.
Apricot is known as the pretty, yet weird girl. She talks little and loves reading more than anything else. Her parents didn’t know what to do with her, as she refused to do all the normal orange things like dares, taking risks, and being outside. But they would later find out that she was not only Pastel but was also autistic. .Her parents were shocked, and not knowing what to do, they simply let her be. But even still, she had a hard time making friends and doing things in school. But Chili helped her with her math, and she eventually happily moved in so she could start her career as a writer. Despite how much of an introvert she is, she loves the sound of books, the turning of the pages, and going to the library always makes her jump in place and flap her hands
