a rant about my crush

(for the sake of her privacy i’m going to call my crush J) aight the the story began with me sitting pretty close to her in class. i realized one day (thinking): “damn J is super cute, plus she my perfect type like damn 😍”. from that day on i would usually think something around those lines every time i saw her. some backstory for what i’m about to tell you: i really love anime, especially Naruto. i saw my J’s instagram profile and saw that her profile picture was a character from naruto, which i realized one day about a week after summer break started. so i messaged her right after about her profile pic and we started talking AKA me nerding out about anime with her (which was heeeeeella cute because i loved seeing her so excited or passionate about something since she was basically always the quietest person in class.) things went on and we became pretty good friends. then one day she sends me this meme which was a picture of the guy from a vine who said (“i don’t care that you broke your elbow”, the picture being him pointing at the camera) and the caption was something along the lines of “i gotta hella big CRUSH on you but can’t say it so i came to say it with a meme” (the word CRUSH being replaced with a image of the soda brand) i felt ECSTATIC, this was possibly the best thing that’s ever happened to me. so i responded with a picture of Jungkook (a kpop member) with question marks around his head and captioned it “are you sure? because i look like a freaking rat” she said yes and told me she cares about what’s on the inside too. so we kept talking about this and she says “i don’t know if you want to wait until school starts of something if you want to date but” she said something along those lines just not as upfront. this made me even more excited, LIKE DAMN BRUH GOD HIMSELF PROLLY SPENT YEARS MAKING THIS GIRL SHES WAY TO CUTE. and she then said that she has never dated someone before which i haven’t either.

we never talked about dating ever since or spiced things up at all (which i lowkey wanna do) this happened prolly a month ago since summer is alomost over and this took place at the beginning of summer. we have been talking ever since but not through messages with only me and her but rather in a group chat with two of her friends. i think this is the reason we can’t “spice things up” and it makes me really stressed how we never talk through direct DMs much anymore.

i cant find a way to talk to her at all or try and ask her out or something along those lines.

i don’t know if she’s going through something the same or not since i seem to be the one who always starts conversations with her. it makes me EXTREMELY stressed because i think she lost interest in me because i’ve opened up to her way more since she confessed to me, yet she hasn’t opened up as much for me. since she did confess to me a few days after we started talking to me, which was when i didn’t really open up to her at all, i’m afraid she liked me more back then and doesn’t like me now since i opened up.

any advice? i’m not asking for someone to completely guide me through this, i’m just asking for advice on how i should talk to her and how to tell if she likes me anymore? I KNOW, this seems very dramatic and sounds like i’m over reacting or being desperate but i just really don’t know how to relive this stress considering i don’t have any friends to ask advice for nor do i have friends in general. pls help 😅😅😅😅. thanks for listening to this rant and not scrolling past it :)

"Mona Lisa" of Fossils Discovered in Canada

An armored dinosaur has been found in Alberta, so well-preserved that it looks like a statue. The specimen was preserved in 3D, perfectly hardening into sandstone, from its snout its hips. Paleontologists were able to determine, just by looking at it, that this discovery is also a new species.

So what did this new dinosaur look like? Well, according to the researchers, it is the “dinosaur equivalent of a tank.” It was 5.5 meters long (about 18 feet) and weighing more than 1,300 kilograms (or 2,800 pounds). There is ornamentation around its eyes, six-sides plates on the sides of its skull, and distinct alternating lines of spikes and scales along its back. The prickly skin even contains molecular clues suggesting it was reddish on its backside, and lighter on its underside! That’s a lot of detail about a species, all from one specimen.

The new dinosaur been named Borealopelta, or “northern shield.”
