i’ve heard other people speak up about this, but heres my take on it. now we all know that the 🍵🌊🌊 has become almost mainstream, especially amongst younger people and now it’s not even about researching perps, finding their motive, actually looking into the psycholgy side of it, people just worship them not even knowing what their motive was, just because it looks edgy. people seem to be treating perps like anime characters now

also i want to mention a LOT of people worship perps just bc of their looks, for example colt gray. it really makes me mad because is this community even the same anymore? i miss seeing genuine info posts and actual good edits not just the stupid rampage shit :( i hope this made sense haha

I've been in this community for a couple of years, and even before I became part of it I was always orbiting around it. This community has always been mediocre and shitty, and honestly I don't know where the hell people got the idea that there was ever a time when it wasn't, because it ALWAYS was. Everyone treated criminals as if they were fictional characters with their drawings, their fanfics, their stimboards, their edits, their jokes, and their memes. That's not treating them like human beings, that's literally seeing them as content for your own consumption. The community has always been like this, and if there ever was a time when it wasn't, it was probably years ago, when none of us were even capable of talking yet.

Almost everyone in this fucking community is more interested in what the perpetrators look like than in the cases themselves. That's why Cho isn't nearly as popular as Adam. You all always repeat the same psychology bullshit, but whenever yall talk about your favorite perpetrators, most of them are conventionally attractive looking retards.

If you do not mind, what’s the appeal to TCC? No judgment nor anything of that matter. I see a lot of people my age circulating around the TCC community, but it’s usually around darker things other than documentaries etcetera. What is the appeal of TCC to you? Again, if you do not mind.

The appeal to me personally is being able to understand & relate to people labeled as evil, it kinda makes me more aware that there is space for sympathy for even the 'worst of people' i get i would be thought of badly if most people knew i sympathized with shooters but i dont really care either. i dont sypathize with every perp, there are plenty i think there is nothing to sypathize for nor do i care to look because whatever bad shit i know already tops anything good abt them.

Abt the community i guess i just like feeling like im not alone in what i feel but at the same time i dont fully like everyone in the community thwres some corny ppl. A lotbofnpeople in the community are alike to me kn some way or interesting but yeah theres cons & pros abt tcc thats my personal take on it i guessbi cant speak for othwrs though

Maybe this is just part of being "older" in tcc but it's genuinely so sad to think about how young most perps were and what they were going through. As much as they acted like it was all some big movie and as much as we mythologize them as a community they really were just struggling kids who had so much emotion that wasn't dealt with properly by those around them. Reading dylans writings about suicide and erics issues with society and really acknowledging that they were real teenagers behind it all is honestly just heartbreaking. Its sad to think that they were so close to graduation and leaving it all behind but they saw their actions as the only way out (though its not in anyway justification for what they did). Its hard to digest, knowing that they could harbour so much hate so young that they truly saw violence as their only means of escape and finding worth.
