INCORRECT BRODINSONS a la Frasier quotes
“Loki is often the voice of reason to Thor’s impulsiveness and is usually relied on to talk his older brother out of sticky situation. ”
“As Odin’s younger son, Loki has always known the throne of Asgard will never belong to him. He has, however, tried his best to be a good brother to Thor and a son Odin could be proud of.”
BONUS:
Interesting.
Teleport is canon!
This irritates me…… a lot.
He can teleport.
Why the hell wasn’t this used in any of the other movies?
This is so important.
“Oh the most powerful master of magic in this place called Asgard can also teleport. Should we add that in the movies? Nah. He’ll outshine the heroes.”
I also can’t help but notice that Loki’s illusion magic is exactly that…an illusion. He can’t exactly change into a snake or anything. Even when he changed Thor into Lady Sif that one time, It was merely an illusion and Thor never changed at all.
fun fact: loki had very little screen time in infinity war because tom hiddleston’s back was extremely sore from carrying the thor franchise for 7 years
oh snap
If I don’t reblog this every time I’ll see it, assumed I’m dead.
Dash magic
from @pedeka
So this happened.
Dash magic—a double hit from @mastreworld.
This dash magic was just cruel
@pedeka and @sigridlaufeyson, was this necessary???
Well, that hurt. 😑 Look here, Tumblr. I havena even finished my coffee yet this morning.
Thor loses almost everything in Infinity War
Me :
I’m actually neutral with this anti-Thor post, but I understand your reasons making this when I see the tags. Maybe because of my own irrational irritation about the double standard of people that usually highlighting Thor’s pain as valid while throwing Loki’s pain under the bus.
As for “supposedly feel sorry” or not, that’s your own choice. The narrative of IW does in purpose to make you feel sorry for Thor by presenting it as valid pain, but whether you want to following what the narrative told you to feel or want to do the opposite of it, in the end, that’s your own right.
LOL at the Gif though…
It’s not that I don’t feel sorry for Thor. Because there are certainly valid reasons to feel sorry for him. The issue is with the fact that the narrative found it necessary to take everything from him, in order to motivate him to join the fight against Thanos. Which frankly, is confusing. Because if he really is a hero, as he has openly claimed to be, he should not require such motivation.
And then there’s the issue that plenty of attention has already been paid to Thor’s feelings. And his narrative is wrought with his inability to acknowledge any pain other than his own. So, I suppose that’s why this particular concept rubs me the wrong way.
Thor 1
LOKI: I just found out I’m adopted from a race of people I was raised to see as monsters. This explains why I spent my entire life feeling as though my father favored my brother over me. I can’t even cope with this new reality. I am literally losing my mind.
THOR: Dude…while I was looking for my hammer, I met this girl.
AVENGERS
LOKI: I survived my suicide attempt, only to fall into the hands of an evil Titan who tortured me and sent me to Earth to retrieve the Tesseract. I am clearly not firing on all cylinders.
THOR: Dude, you are totally embarrassing me in front of my new favorite realm.
THOR 2
LOKI: My adoptive father told me that it was my birthright to die and sentenced me to life in prison. Neither Odin or Thor have visited me in prison in several years. And now my mom has apparently been murdered, and I wasn’t even allowed to attend her funeral.
THOR: I will let you out of prison for a couple days so you can avenge our mom’s death and help me save my girlfriend.
THOR 3
LOKI: We just found out that our father lied to BOTH of us, all our lives. Now maybe you can understand how I felt about…
THOR: I’m sorry…did you say something? I couldn’t hear you over the sound of my own grief.
LOKI: He was my father too…
THOR: Who said you could talk? This is the THOR movie, not the LOKI movie.
AVENGERS IW
LOKI: This is the guy I was trying to tell you about. This is the guy who…
THOR: You really are the worst, Brother.
LOKI: (is brutally murdered)
THOR: OMG Loki’s dead. Now I’m even sadder than I was when my mom died, and when Jane broke up with me, and when my dad died, and when Asgard was destroyed and when Loki died those other two times…
*Loki and Tony Stark standing on the balcony of Stark Tower in Avengers Assemble surroundings*
Loki: Did you get the mind stone out already of the scepter?
Tony: Yep. Done and done.
Loki: Good, may I have that?
Tony: The scepter? What for? I mean sure. Here.
Loki: Thank you. *throws the scepter out of the Earth’s atmosphere*
Tony: Wow. Good aim. How long have you been wanting to do that?
Loki: You have no idea.
14 million alternate universes and you are telling me that dumb bitch Strange didn’t think of opening a portal above Thanos’ head and closing it around his neck or teleporting the dried purple grape into the fucking sun in a single one of them like what kind of jackassery and complete lack of imagination honestly
Yet another example of why it’s bullshit Strange is considered more powerful than Loki.
Because if Loki hadn’t been totally nerfed for the movies he’d have killed Thanos is seconds.
Had Loki lived:
Strange: I swore an oath to protect the Mind Stone with my life.
Loki who has already risked his life several times to save his brother who hardly even deserved it: *has already killed Thanos*
‘Freedom is life’s greatest lie…’
It’s interesting that Loki says this and i think he absolutely believes this ‘cause he has never tasted true freedom from the day he was born to the day he fell at Thanos’s hands.
All his life he lived under Odin’s rule and was Thor’s shadow, doing whatever makes his father and brother happy. Despite this he gets no love from the people around him. The Warriors Three and lady Sif don’t trust him and they have known him for quite a long time. After he came to know he’s a Frost Giant, Loki finally understands why he could never fit in to the society around him the same way his brother and the others do.
After his fall from the Bifrost, things turned worse. Freedom became non existent under Thanos’s control. And Loki comes to Earth and makes that speech and you know the rest of that.
After New York he spends two years in his father’s dungeon. Even after the battle on Svartalfheim, Loki never knew true freedom. Even though he’s finally king of Asgard he still has to be in the guise of Odin. Yes, he’s respected and loved by his people but it’s not really him, but his father. I always imagine that when Loki’s alone behind closed doors and the disguise gone, he always feels dissatisfied with everything. He got what he wants but its not enough. Its a bitter sort of freedom.
Then of course, Sakaar happens and Loki ends up under the thumb of another despot (seriously though this keeps happening why?. Thank goodness it was only two weeks) And Loki’s got to joke about his suicide to keep himself alive(who allowed that even?). Even when his brother shows up Loki has to whisper to not attract unnecessary attention. Despite this he almost got sentenced to death.
Then Loki and Thor faced Thanos and Thanos did what he did and….
Summary: Loki has never known what true freedom feels like. Freedom from the control of someone atleast if not freedom from his own self hatred and the trauma he’s suffered.
Strange, you can look a little happier when saying that! 😂 -Credit to owner.
Loki: I picked out my suit based on my hair color, my body type, the season’s current trends, and consulting with high end fashion magazines.
Eddie:
It’s either the ultimate fashion icon or the hobo looking one. There’s no in between.
Lol totally. 😂😂😂
