i do actually think a lack of an easy setting on games is an ableism issue

i just feel like if your game is inaccessible to disabled people due to difficulty stacking and you add no option to make it more accessible then you’re not really a good game designer

i think a part of executive dysfunction that isn't talked about a lot (mainly because of capitalism being more concerned with your ability to generate profit rather than your overall wellbeing, and that leaking into psychiatry) is the fact that it turns hobbies into chores. like yeah it's really tough to do homework or to schedule this appointment or to clean my room, but what really hurts is not being able to write. gathering the mental energy to shower sucks not just because of how dirty struggling to shower makes me feel, but because now I can't go to the park or the library. i WANT to read, but my brain is actively dragging me away from the book i'm trying to get invested in. i want to finish this DIY project, but god is it so much easier to sit and do nothing. it sucks. i just wanna do things.

Happy disabled pride month to the undiagnosed. To those with no idea what it could be. To those who are pretty sure they know, but can't be certain yet. To those whose doctors are trying their best, and to those whose doctors aren't. To those with test results, and those without. To those whose prognosis isn't looking good. To those scared by the course of their symptoms, and with no idea what's going to happen next. Living undiagnosed is hard, and I wish you all luck.

I think anger gets a bad reputation in trauma spaces a lot of the time.

People will say things like, "Holding onto anger isn't healthy," and I understand what they're trying to say. If years go by and anger is the only place you're able to live, it can absolutely keep you stuck.

But I also think there's a difference between staying angry forever and allowing yourself to be angry while you're healing.

For a lot of survivors, anger is actually an important part of recovery. It can be the moment you stop blaming yourself. The moment you stop minimizing what happened. The moment you realize that you deserved better.

Many of us spent years making excuses for the people who hurt us. We focused on their trauma, their intentions, their struggles, and their pain. We understood them so well that we forgot to make room for our own feelings.

Sometimes anger is what creates that space.

That doesn't mean anger should be taken out on other people. It doesn't mean every angry reaction is healthy. But the feeling itself isn't automatically a problem.

Sometimes anger is simply grief with boundaries.

Sometimes it's self-respect showing up for the first time.

And sometimes it's a necessary step on the way to healing.
