They donât know what to do when they see him. Itâs been so long since theyâve spoken to him, theyâve practically lost track of the years, but theyâve always liked Sans â unlike Asriel, Sansâ jokes were actually funny. Or, maybe their taste in memes were just bad. Â But, that was bullshit. They had a great taste in memes.
But, they really donât know what to do here. Hug him? Nah. Start crying like they havenât seen him in 20-odd years? No. Just.. say hi? Maybe. Probably not. Naturally, they turn the volume up on their phone once theyâre standing behind him and play a very fitting song, in lieu of a more⌠normal reaction to seeing an old friend.
Sans always had a good taste in memes. Catch him sitting on the Undernet, shitposting the day away. Most of his memes these days were of skeletons, but living without internet meant he was literally turning his life into one, giant meme. Some people acted like they had never seen skeletons in their lives.
Sudden noise behind him makes his grin twitch, a small flinch turning into a chuckle. He turns to see a child, with a smirk on their face. A friend. An old friend. He canât remember the last time he saw them, and for a moment, he was silent.
âKid...â And of course, he was always bad with expressing his feelings. He was horrible at showing he cared or that he missed someone, because afterall, what was the point? Sockets enlarged slightly, pupils bright, smile on his face, a small voice came from his skull. âAre you memeing me from the afterlife?â The question sounded like a statement, despite the need for reassurance.
