Godzilla: Monster of Monsters! remake but I Real-Time Corruptor-it up
So, FreKay Planet released the demo of a remake of Godzilla: Monster of Monsters! last year. It's by all means a pretty decent game besides a few bits of jank here and there. Pretty nice for a game made in Scratch!
So uh...
I did what any tooooooooootally sane freakass would do after a run with this game.
Send it to the Real Time Corruptor (one for Scratch games here).
Psst, be sure to run the FreKay Planet game through TurboWarp or the packager! So that it can then be corrupted!
With that out of the way, let's see what this game ekes out under stress!
It appears I've ended up breaching into future planets? For your information, the demo currently goes up to Saturn, halfway to completion. I've already seen Uranus in a development video, but I think the one on the right is Pluto...
Ooh yeah, these are definitely more of the future planets. If I had to hazard a guess the one on the left is Neptune and the one on the right is Planet X, more by the board colors than anything.
These future planets are pretty easily accessible just from the Visual Corruption option, it seems toggling that while on the board will cause the board to cycle around from the current planet's board. The Visual Corruption option is one of the most common parameters I'm using throughout these sessions, since it keeps a good chunk of the game accessible normally while still providing lots of amusing changes.
Evidently, the game's acting drunk when unlocking new monsters, like how it mistakes Anguirus for either Mothra or Rodan.
And the drunkenness doesn't stop there seeing how the misnaming continues into the UI! Oops
I'm not sure if it was Control Flow Injection or Script Mutation that did this, but nonetheless, it now looks like Anguirus sunk into quicksand- wait a second, THAT'S A POOR MAN'S MOLGA ON THE RIGHT!
It seems the corruptions have a constant propensity to give Mothra wings to the other playable Kaiju. Given that I happen to have selected Anguirus this makes for a string of humorous Molga-shaped coincidences.
See? Funny Molga-shaped coincidences the corruptions made!
Anyway-
Hrmh! Drunk again I see? Those are game over screens! Look at Godzilla there especially! Does he look like he's celebrating a World Clear? No!
Oh yeah, leave the map long enough with some of the parameters active (I think it's mainly Visual Corruption, Script Mutation, and maybe Control Flow Corruption and Block Replacement), eventually the stage enemies will show up like they think we're at the stage already. Evidently, here, the fishes from the water levels think it's already time to swim.
On the other hand it can be as annoying as a sudden game over. That happened outta nowhere while I was looking elsewhere...
Whoa, what's with the passwords here?
And why is the battlefield all DIAGONAL now?
Oh. That's why.
Yeah, even at low intensity, Sprite & Clone Chaos can RAPIDLY make the game go bonkers in a near-instant. Highly not recommended to leave it running for long lest your game becomes an incomprehensible mess.
Like this. THIS IS JUST THE INTRO CUTSCENE BY THE WAY!
Again, anyway-
Don't eat the planets, Gigan...
DIDN'T I TOLD YOU!
MOTHRA WHERE DID THE REST OF YOU GO
Fire started flying out of Gezora's battlefield like he spat it out...and hilariously HE's the one getting pinned to the wall this time! KARMA, DUMMY!
You can't see it but the collisions got fucked up and Mothra COULDN'T MOVE! ow
Oh yeah, uhm...I messed around with Burst (Block) Chaos and at one point managed to seemingly end up on the Pluto board??? I can only tell that it's Pluto because of the BGM. Alas, I could only get to the levels by toggling Burst (Block) Chaos again for brief moments. otherwise i couldn't MOVE! A SINGLE TILE! ow
Anyway that's all for now because i think i hit the attachment limit, see you next time
