Ok like. Imagine life without ads. You wake up, check your messages across a variety of apps, no ads. You get up and put on the tv while you prep your breakfast, no ads. Maybe you drive somewhere and switch on the radio, no ads. Maybe you drive a long distance, yet somehow, not a single billboard on your path. You pick up a newspaper or magazine to pass the time, no advertisements only articles. You turn on your game console, the home screen is just about your games, no ads to buy more. You open a streaming app, you don't pay extra for no ads, there's just no ads ever.

Think about how much of your time is spent looking at ads. "Download ublock" yeah I know, I have. But that doesn't change that the world is covered with endless advertising. Imagine never seeing that again. How much better our lives would be.

I'm taking an online summer class at the community college I work at. Even though it's a basic 101 level class, I'm having a lot of fun and actually learning stuff. I never realized I would enjoy college classes as long as my degree and future isn't riding on me passing the class.

#it's my first time taking classes since i got my bachelors in 2016 #I get one free class a semester since i'm a full time employee but still had to pay $130 for an ebook #There's 8 units total and I'm about to start unit 4 #and we just started week 2 of 8 #ebook says i'm 22% complete so the next 5 units will be significantly longer than the first 3 #but i'm already ahead of schedule and making good progress #I work in IT for the college and the class is called IT Fundamentals #I was worried that if I just forgot to do my work and failed the class #that would reflect poorly on me as an IT professional #but now I'm worried that there won't be enough work to last me the full 8 weeks #Also it's just one online class so maybe that's making it easier on me than my original college experience #I remember one semester of college most of my days were pretty light with 1-3 hours of class #except wednesday. For some reason I scheduled 9 hours of class on wednesdays #Wednesdays became the most miserable exhausting days of the week for me and I think I still hate wednesdays because of that awful semester #why did i think that was a good idea?#Anyway if you have the chance to take a college class as an adult def give it a try #learning is fun and gay (affectionate)!#and i'm doing it all with 0 AI #just me and my nominally functional brain
