mai trin truly such a crazy sleeper hit of a character for me. pirate captain and major antagonist of a good portion of the early game story who disappears at the end only for you to find out later that her and her crew have been killing and robbing alternate universe versions of themselves and she's possessed by her ex gf who is a plant and she's like very competent and a little lame in an extremely charming way and her apartment is a mess and she has way too many cats and she's down bad for a married woman and her pirates don't even care about her anymore. every day of my life i wake up and wish she'd survived through eod to awkwardly hang out with us she'd be so good at it

My Toons

Hi, I wanted to compile my main Toons. The rest will be linked via toyhouse below the two.

Coriandus

Coriandus is a Secondborn Sylvari, and the firstborn in a set of twins with her brother Roxysis [ @commander-rox ]- the first to ever be born in the Sylvari race. After the Mordremoth disaster, she was corrupted by the dragon and became a vessel primed for taking in ley magic. After his death, she found out she was essentially a replacement Elder Dragon, having taken Mordremoth's place in the cycle. She also found out she could not filter OUT ley magic like a normal elder dragon should, and it was slowly killing her, so Taimi made her a prosthetic to do it for her.

Also she is married to Caithe and Aurene's Champion/adoptive mother. Aurene was also hatched during Heart of Thorns in this AU.

Maristhol is a not-quite-knight who grew up on tales of chivalry and heroism and tries her best to live by those ideals. Her powers, however, are a different story, and aren't even really hers. In a moment of desperation, she made a pact with a powerful Mist Demon who’s not exactly benevolent.

Regardless, she remains bright and hopeful because cursed powers or not, she finally has the strength to help others, and she’ll always be grateful for that.

Marilyn, my human thief, has decided Glaw gives her a great place to scout around, while Siamanta, my husband’s ele, tries to force some common sense inside her head.

Today is Heart of Thorns' 10-year anniversary! :D

To celebrate, I'd like to show a rough practice animation of Trahearne and Malyck I've been drawing on the side. I have to emphasize this isn't polished - I started this to try and learn more about 2d animating. But hopefully you are a little amused by it. ;p

The first two clips are from the same progress step, the second is with only the lines. The third is an earlier draft of most of the "keyframes," before later experimenting with the timing and drawing the in-between frames.
