Normalize saying “I don’t know enough to have an opinion.”

I would put it differently: “I don’t know enough for my opinion to matter,” or “I don’t know enough for my opinion to have any weight.” 

I’m not sure it’s possible to have no opinion, especially if the issue will affect you in some way. And sooner or later, whether it’s the economy or civil rights or foreign relationships, everything will.

Maybe if people felt like their right to have an opinion wasn’t being attacked, they’d be more likely to prioritize better informed people’s opinions...?
