Yesterday was a HUGE milestone for me, I finally get to retire the bands and my pulleys. A lot of emotions felt as I finished my first progressive workout since October last year. I felt sad, frustrated, upset, but also happy, enthusiastic, and optimistic. The negative emotions as I’m SIGNIFICANTLY weaker, however this isn’t my first rodeo and I know I’ll get back with time. This last week has been an amazing one. I got to spend a week with some family that I’ve seen maybe 4 times (probably less) in the last 4 years because I’m always gone. Update!! I’m out of the sling!!! Originally I thought I would be ready to go home in six weeks however given the extensive damage done to my Labrum the doctor has recommended that I stay for 12 more weeks. This is as high as I can lift my arm for strength, as in I don’t remember how to physically lift it higher. So about 45-70 degrees. When stretched for mobility at rehab I can get to 135 degrees.
