Reyna and Jason could have been the roman Percabeth...
So next week im turning 18. Thats means i will be older than Percy Jackson (he stuck between 17 and 18). And thats soooo weird, i literally grew up on this story. Help im old
I want a more mature PJ book. So Rick dosent realize that his readers are growing up. He has fans ranging from teens to people in their 30s, but he still write for the 12 years olds and thats not a problem at all but he has started writimg shallow storys ans stupid characters.
He could write more deeply emotions, he could write about coping with trauma and grief and the characters could have deep, meaningful conversations. No, i dont want the entier story be about suffering but if you give your characters trauma then use it, talk about it. And yes, you can still use humor and action and keep the story fun while adding depth. But now we only get pee jokes.
Hot take: Zeus did good with Thalia.
So before Thalia was turned into a tree the camp didnt had any protection, monsters always attacked and campers usally died in their young teen years. Thalia sacrificed herself and then Zeus turned her into a tree and created the magic boundary. Thats move lifted Thailia to the level of the biggest heros because she name is now equal the only safe place. In the Greek world the most important things is the honor and being remembered. So Zeus did kinda good. Could he have done better? Yes, many things would have been better than this but he tried in his weird god style. (Also gods just wached their children die in their teens years for a few thousand years and they dont give a shit to make a safeplace)
Show Clarisse is a great leader and she really cares about her people, that adds so much to her character and i think it will be important in season 5. Percy used this fact agains her to persuade her to give him the fleece.
Clarisse has known Annabeth since a very young age and probably they were friends at some point. Now she must choose between saving the camp or saving Annabeth. If she choose Annabeth the camps border will fall which means the monsters can attack at anytime and kill many campers, and Kronos will get a new body and this is the end of the world.
Clarisse is a great leader. She sees the bigger picture and made the better decisions quickly
So Percy always blames himself when somebody dies. Bianca, Luke, Silena, Beckendorf and all the campers who fell in the Titan war. He always thinks "If I were better?" "If I were faster?" "Why am i here and not them?"
And now theres that boy. He is just 17, still a child, but he carries so much trauma. He fought in two wars, still suffers from PTSD from Tartaros. And one day Apollo knocks on his door and ask him to go a quest again. Percy is tired and just wants to finish the school and start a happy life with Annabeth. So now he needs to study (and not die). He refuses to go with Apollo.
Then Jason, one of his closest friend dies. He has a very painfull death. On a boat, at the sea.
Image that insane survivors guilt.
So the war ends, the Romans return to Camp Jupiter, everyone’s exhausted, everyone has a ton to do, a lot of things were wrecked because of the giants, so it takes quite a while before the Senate can meet again.
The night before that, at 3 am it suddenly hits Reyna: Oh shit, I forgot!
And with that momentum, in her pj and ducky socks, she goes over to Frank’s place and bangs on the door until he wakes up.
Reyna: Percy counts as a deserter.
Frank (very sleepily): If they ban him, Annabeth will kill both of us.
Reyna: And even if we somehow fix that, he’s still got at least ten years left in the legion.
Frank: Absolutely fucking not. The whole camp would be done for if we pull that.
So the two praetors start gathering all the heroic deeds Percy has accomplished so they’ll have enough arguments against the Senate but they realize they barely know anything about what he did before the legion, so they panic and call CHB.
Chiron:No worries, we’ll handle it. I’ll send the full list.
At the Senate meeting, Hermes himself shows up and reads out the three-meter-long list that Chiron put together in chronological order (mentioning at the appropriate points that ft. Annabeth Chase).
By the end of the day, not only is there no banishment, but Percy and Annabeth both receive the best scholarships, Percy gets the praetorian lifetime stipend, the veterans’ pension, and all the extra rewards that come after the wars.
Annabeth is a Swiftie (I just feel it). Percy, the skater boy who listens to Led Zeppelin: ugh, white girl music, not my taste. But if you like it...
Percy at 3 am: *watches the Eras Tour, knows all the choreography, and sings along the entire time.*
Rick just wtf. You cant recognize your most popular female main character bc in the book version (which was writen by YOU) she looks different? The dementia kicked in?
What sports would the different PJ characters play? In my opinion:
Percy: canonically he swims, but that’s booooring he'd be an amazing water polo player
Annabeth: some kind of team sport maybe cricket
Jason: American football (a violent, tactical sport, it fits the legion vibe) or pole vault
Piper: basketball
Frank: Canadian… hockey, archery
Hazel: horseback riding, gymnastics
Leo: soccer
Reyna: boxing, volleyball
Nico: deep down he’ll always remain a little Italian boy soccer
Will: goes to the gym alone, listens to music, and for an hour and a half you absolutely cannot talk to him
BOXER REYNA IM SCREAMING PLEASE GOOD LORD MAKE THIS REAL
I did my best

Imagine that you live in New Rome. You spot Percy and Annabeth talking with the praetors. At first, you’d think they were gods if you didn’t know they were only demigods. Power radiates from them as they walk through the narrow streets. Then Percy kneels down, Annabeth crouches beside him, and they start psssssssssss to a cat.
it actually highkey bothers me that annabeth's dagger doesn't have a name 💔 also the fact that she gets a sword after she loses it bc i liked the fact that she had a different weapon. idk there were a lot of swords in the seven like even jason lost his spear and only got given a sword in return,, idk. so i'm giving her a new dagger yay
Percy would definitely have a new dagger made for her, and their monogram would be engraved into the hilt
I dont like the new book. Okay the story is good and have great moments but Percy is not my Percy. Hes like "im so dumb, i cant do anything without Annabeth" bro, you are the strongest demigod, please have some self-esteem. He act like his 12 years old self with less sassyness. And Annabeth, my favorite girl what a hell, why Rick write you like this? Not a baddie just mean.
Rick dosent understad his own characters
My boy💙
So, let’s talk about bloodbending. In the Percy Jackson universe and especially in the universe of ATLA we’ve seen examples where a bloodbender can restrict an organism’s movement or even directly control their actions.
But what would this actually look like in reality?
If you interfere with a person’s circulation, the effect would be similar to their heart suddenly stopping. Once the blood stops delivering oxygen, the brain (along with the rest of the organs) begins to suffer damage extremely quickly.
If you try to move or forcefully redirect the blood, it would cause vessel rupture, internal bleeding, and potentially a stroke. Bones, ligaments, and muscles could also be injured due to the excessive forces involved.
In short, the victim would lose consciousness almost immediately, sustain severe damage within seconds, and die within minutes. So thats more horrible than the fantasy
