Mads Mikkelsen
Mads Mikkelsen - GQ Magazine.
Mads Mikkelsen has a different take on Hannibal Lecter than the rest of us. Whereas we see a sociopath who, you know, eats people, he just sees a sophisticated dude living his best life. “He’s actually one of the more positive characters I’ve ever played,” says Mikkelsen, the latest actor to portray the iconic killer, this time for NBC’s lush, surprisingly well-done drama series Hannibal. “He’s not haunted by anything. He loves everything that’s beautiful about life—food, wine, fine art.” It’s not that Mikkelsen likes Lecter—he just thinks it’s his actorly duty “to find the good in a bad guy.” (x)
Hello, gorgeous.

One day the AIs are going to look back on us the same way we look at fossil skeletons on the plains of Africa. An upright ape living in dust with crude language and tools, all set for extinction. Ex Machina (2015) dir. Alex Garland
We have nothing whatsoever in common. I don’t even like you. You DO.
Happy Birthday James Cagney!!! | July 17th, 1899 - March 30th, 1986
Cagney, in my view, is maybe the greatest actor who ever appeared in front of the camera. First of all, he broke every rule about movie acting. You see, the first thing that every stage actor says is, ‘I learned to act for the camera because you have to do less. You can’t do what you do at the National Theatre. You act for the camera.’ Cagney came on as though he were playing to an audience of 4,500 people. He acted at the top of his bent, and he never hammed for one moment. Just proving my point that hamming is not overacting, it’s false acting. It’s fakery. And there’s not a fake moment in a Cagney movie. – Orson Welles
He possessed, possibly in greater abundance than any other name star of his time, irresistible charm…Even the most ascetic cynicist will admit that it’s impossible to forget how he looked and talked at the height of his popularity. –Kenneth Tynan

I look at today’s male movie stars, and they’re uber-handsome, but even in the way they carry themselves, they’re trying to look younger, or feel younger, or they’re in an arrested-development state, so even when they grow up, they don’t grow up as men.
oh my god
Please don’t thank me, I just nicked them. I won’t survive this photos for a couple of days. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
